I live in LA and am completely spoiled at my Beverly Hills nail spa so when I found myself needing a color change/ acrylic fill / gel mani & pedi along with some festive New Year's Eve designs in Boston I was...doubtful that I would find a nail spa that could compare. Boy oh boy how I was wrong! I was referred to Bliss Spa and was blown away. I had one of the best pedicures I have ever had in a super relaxing, private spa room. I showed my artist JEANNE (she's amazing!) a picture from Pinterest for inspiration for my nails and she actually put the picture to shame. I sat there, my nails drying under an excruciatingly warm heater, with a light who's bulb flickered on and off every few seconds, I turned to the lady next to me and then to my friend, "I'm gonna yelp the shit outta this place!" We then had a lengthy discussion with the lady next to me about Yelp and how much I loved it, and all the UYE's ecc. I love talking to random people about yelp. It's awesome. We walked in through the back door from the parking lot, and up to the front desk. Told the friendly guy at the front desk the name our appointments were under, and he asked us to pick out colors. We walked over to the wall, overwhelmed with decisions to make. It had been a solid year (at least) for each of us to have been pampered by the one-two-punch of a mani/pedi! The excitement? Palpable. We chose a light pink color, and sat down to wait for about 3 minutes. We were early and though the guy at the front desk kept apologizing to us about 'running late' and all kinds of other issues they were having, we were totally at ease and loving every moment of it. Kicked back in a little alcove with two pedicure chairs, my friend and I started the back massager chairs (her's was broken, but was quickly fixed by the nail tech who was about to start her pedicure) and stuck our feet into gloriously warm water. Before the nail techs even sat down we decided that we would make this a regular thing. Who cares how much it costs. It's so relaxing! The pedicure was nice, took a decent amount of time, but my feet have rarely (if ever) have looked as nice as they do currently, so soft, felt so clean and fresh! The lady, named Michelle, who was doing my pedicure told me it was silly to put nail polish on my toes (due to several broken toes and mishaps involving my feet in the past, I have almost non-existent nails on my smaller toes, most ladies just put paint on my skin and pretend I have nails) she said it would be healthier if I just keep getting pedicures and forget about the nail polish all together. I agreed and went with it - it was not cheaper to get a pedicure without polish though, which is interesting to note. She did however compliment me several times on my finger nails and how nice they looked (in comparison) and how much nicer they would look with fewer cuticles. I think honesty is a good policy. The lady who did my manicure was a little more quiet than the lady who did my pedicure, and at one moment they were both working on my nails at the same time! I felt like royalty, or something, it was a bizarre feeling, but I can't say I didn't love it! I want to go back as soon as I can rationalize going and get some gel nails (I spoke to a girl who had just gotten them, and they were about twice the price of a mani, but lasted WAY longer) and get another pedicure, cause there is nothing better than a CLEAN spa like atmosphere, right down the street from your house, where you can be totally relaxed and come out feeling girly (in a good way) and a bit more put together than you walked in! The only weird part was when they started to massage legs and feet during pedicure, they turned off the lights, which then went right back on when the nail tech for the mani walked in... dimmers, or keep um on all the time, I think... I am going to become a regular here, you best believe it. Total convert, they had me at "yes, we can take two for mani/pedis at 2:15" --- I suggest calling more than an hour in advance (like I did) because they are incredibly busy on Saturday afternoons, by the looks of it, and I don't even think I'll be that lucky when booking again. I had my first pedicure at this place last night. It was absolutely wonderful. I got to play with the massage chair and found a setting that was oh, so, comfy. The girl that worked on me did an awesome job - especially with the foot massage. I thought that $35 was a bit steep... but I was in there for 45 minutes and they worked on me the entire time. I felt sooo relaxed afterwords. So, 5 stars for the pedicure but 2 stars for the guy that answered the phone when I booked the appointment. Albeit, he did schedule me at the time I wanted, but he wasn't the friendliest of creatures and made me feel like it would be a bother to get me in. Pampering with a sweet attitude -- a lovely way to reward yourself. I haven't had the luxury treatment in years -- lotions, paraffin wax, etc. -- so I decided to reward myself for a hard month of work in June and a holiday weekend spent hosting my in-laws with the full works at this place -- an Aromatherapy Spa Pedicure and an Aromatherapy Spa Manicure. As I type this, my hands and tootsies are still velvet soft from yesterday's applications of lotions, exfoliating creams, and hot waxes, and I can finally wear flip flops without cringing in embarrassment. The first thing I noticed about Nails & Co. was the attitude -- sweet and friendly. They want you to feel relaxed. This is a HUGE difference from the attitude in the swanky spa I used to visit in upstate New York when I lived there. They were always so swamped with customers, that they would actually turn you away if you arrived 5-15 minutes late. And you know, sometimes you get caught in traffic, and you can't help being late, and if it was frustrating getting there, it's even more frustrating to be turned away by the -- I'm sorry -- increasingly snooty and aloof receptionist area, with its haughty "you need us more than we need you" air. A gf of mine and I decided to start boycotting them, we were so affronted by their snobbery. So, yesterday, I was running late, and I was freaking out about it -- so conditioned as I've been by my previous experience with the snooty upstate NY spa -- and I called up the desk at Nails & Co., and told the receptionist who answered that i was running late, and would it be alright if I arrived a half-hour late. "Oh, sure," he responded casually, with a tone that was so relaxed I swear that he almost meant, "Just show up anytime". That made me feel so relieved from any pressure, it was almost a massage-before-a-massage. I arrived, was greeted warmly and told to pick my nail color, and we were off. I chose my services (Aromatherapy Spa treatment for both the mani & the pedi), and was whisked off to the back by the no nonsense and friendly young lady taking care of me. Instantly I was asked to set myself down into the pedi chair ... a huge, overbuilt monstrosity with a -- omg yes -- a mechanical back massager built into it. Hello, nirvana, I have arrived. The 65 minute process included a foot soak, cuticle care, shaping, callous buffing, lotion application, exfoliating sea salt with a lavender fragrance, paraffin hot wax dipping followed by a 10 minute or so relaxation period wearing heated booties, removal of booties, a wonderful massage for the feet and lower legs, and finally, the application of nail primer / color / topcoat. Wow. It's just about the same treatment for the hands, which is another 60 minutes of well spent time; instead of a soak, you get a hot oil treatment and wear heated mittens, followed by cuticle care and nail shaping, then the exfoliation process again, followed by a dipping of the hands in paraffin wax and another heated mitten session, followed by the application of nail primer / color / top coat. And every now and then, my beauty technician would ask me if I felt relaxed; even when I paid my bill at the front, the receptionist asked if I felt good/relaxed ... they really want you to leave feeling wonderful here, and they succeed at it, too. I can't believe it has taken me this long to write a review since I've been coming here for over a year now. These gilrs and guys are amazing. I love how they don't speak to each other while pampering you and you can actually relax. I was there last night getting my nails done and one of the guys had to ask my guy Jason something and asked my permission first. I thought that was really nice and thoughtful, I was totally ok with it. I do LOVE Lena but she wasn't there yesterday but Jason did a FABULOUS job on my gel nails (shellac). I normally just get a manicure but I was in a rush last night and couldn't wait to have them fully dryed and have a wedding this weekend. The nail polish doesn't bubble and lasts the entire 2 weeks, I don't know what they do but I do know when the bottle is almost empty they do not put alcohol in it to thin out the remainder, maybe thats why it lasts. It is a bit pricey if you get mani's every 2 weeks $18 compared to the other crappy salons $10-$12 but its well worth it and makes me feel great when my nails are always done and looking pretty. The pedicures are great too and so relaxing, you essentially have your own little cabanna with the lights dimmed and they give the best massages. It's in a pretty convenient location, gym, walgreens, starbucks, restaurants, etc. They have a huge parking lot in the back with an entrance there as well. I wish they offered some bubbly rather than water and soda but that will do for now until Mass loosens up the alcohol permits. ENJOY! read more

This is what Station Landing needed! First, you walk in - they ask if you want a beverage. They have a great selection of polishes and magazines, and everyone I have seen in there is always friendly. The salon itself is gorgeous, very serene and 'spa-like'. The down side to this place is that it takes longer and its slightly more expensive than any other nail salon I've been to (I have acrylics), BUT it's well worth it for me because these nails last longer than anything I've ever had. I have mixed feelings about this place. Been there many times because it's next door. Including my bachelorette mani-pedis with dozen of friends. The experience is hit or miss based on receptionists' mood and who does your mani-pedi. Their manicures are usually great and last longer than any other place. 2 weeks+ for regular and my gel grew out with my nails. They look very good too and usually are perfectly done. The place is clean and peaceful. Many people from the staff don't speak english. So when they are rude, it's hard to tell if it is just miscommunication or they are really rude. They have limited colors in gel, hard to find exact color that you are looking for. Massage chairs in pedi section don't work, which sucks for me. Part of the reason why I go for pedicure is that massage chair. Also they are on expensive side. It costs almost $60 for regular mani+pedi. That's excluding tips. I have got a grumpy look for paying 18% of tip. read more

My experience with this salon was horrible. I have been to the Bliss Nails at Assembly Row and I had a great experience. This salon was closer to me and so I figured I would be getting the same experience. I went for a dip powder manicure and it came out to be horrible. Some of the issues i had was that the thickness was not even in some of my nails. Also, some of my nails had a thick top coat excess that dried so its slightly bumpy. The other issue I had was that there were some powder underneath my nails and I told the tech, she tried to clean. At one point, she used her own nail to push back, I believe to separate or to push my skin back so she can use her took to scrape the excess powder underneath the nail. As a result, caused my finger to start bleeding. Instead of apologizing she just said that powder does not usually get stuck underneath the nail. Lastly, the service was overprice. Great salon! I wandered in here after a shopping extravaganza at Assembly Sq. I had no appointment, but they fit me in anyway. It was about 5:30 pm on a Saturday and they were quite busy, so I appreciated that they were able to do my nails. I had a nice gel manicure, the manicurist was very nice, and thorough, did a great job on my cuticles and recommended some cuticle cream, much appreciated on my end! The atmosphere was great, very spa-like. The pedicures are more secluded, in a curtained off area, I didn't have time for one, but it seemed nice and private, like if you had a group or something. I've been there twice for their spa pedicures and to get my eye brows done. They were very nice, and I enjoyed the experience both times. I used Nancy on a recommendation, and I recommend her as well. She's not a talker, which I prefer since this is the time I generally read trashy magazines and relax, both of which she lets you do in spades. An FYI - make sure you have cash on hand for the tip. For some reason, you cannot put it on your credit card here. I didn't know that, and couldn't tip the poor woman the first time I came. I think Lena (Lina?) is wonderful! I almost don't want to mention her name because I don't want to have to cause more waiting for myself... She does a great job, takes her time with me, and as a bonus she doesn't try to force a conversation which I appreciate. I understand hair dressers trying to talk to me, but when I'm getting a pedicure, I just want to sit back and read Us or People ;) I also liked her sister Nancy. The store in Station Landing is very clean and relaxing. I really enjoy the fact that the pedicure stations are all in alcoves so that you have some privacy (there are 2 stations per alcove). The pedicures are pricey, but it's more for the experience along with the painted nails. Here's what they do: first you soak your feet in a bubbling tub while you sit in a chair with massage controls (pretty standard I suppose). Then they prep your nails by cutting and cleaning. Next they exfoliate your feet and legs with a good 10 minute massage of each leg up to your knees. Then they give another massage with a pleasant smelling lotion for another 5-10 minutes. Finally they rinse and dry your legs/feet and start painting. All told told is about 45 minutes. Manicures also get 2 massages (1 with exfoliant and the other with lotion). I really appreciate that Lena and Nancy both take pride in their work. They inspect your toes/hands carefully afterwards to make sure it looks good. Lena is very careful about painting over the front edge of your nail to reduce the chance that the paint will lift from the edge of your nails. I've had her manicures last a few days longer on average than other places I've been to in the past. Overall: a but pricey compared to other places but worth the relaxation, massages, privacy, upscale feel, trashy magazine selection, and high quality people working there who treat you like a person who matters and not just another person to "get done," and quality of the paint job. I highly recommend it to all my friends and I'm so happy it's so close by in Station Landing. Writing this review reminds me that it's time for a spring pedicure! read more

I've always been resistant even though I live seconds from Nails & Co, because you can get a mani/pedi on the cheap somewhere else - including where I work in Chelsea. After a handful of visits I consider myself a convert. You get what you pay for, in my experience. The staff has has always been kind, courteous and good at what they do. I'm not chatty when getting pampered and so I enjoy the silence. My last mani lasted a full week, I only took the polish off because it was growing out at my nail beds. My pedi was a solid 2, including lots of runs and closed-toe shoes during the work week. Glad I took the plunge and think it's worth it! read more

I've been going to this location for almost three years. What's been keeping me coming back is actually the quality of the technician. I've had other people work on my nails and found it was subpar, but when you find the one that shines I always call to ask for that technician. It's never been an issue to book an appointment either, quick call and they have you all set to go. Love that! I enjoy the atmosphere of the location but don't like that they changed the curtains, they were once private, thick curtains, to allow you to have your own space but now they are just strings or tassels. I can't stand them because they look tacky but also provide no privacy, so when others get their nails done you can see them. Outside of that, I don't have any other complaints. The staff has always been accommodating and it's fairly clean. To the point that if trash falls someone comes over quickly to remove it. I also enjoy the selection of nail polish colors. Could use more but that's just me. One piece of feedback for management would be to allow a hole punch card for clients that attend multiple sessions. Then after a certain amount get a free service or major discount. That's always been something I wish this place had because it would encourage me to recommend more. Don't let the generic name fool you ladies. Nails & Co. should be renamed Wonder Nails (great name, right?) in memory of one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Medford called "Wonder Taste" that just decided to pack up and leave. Totally different story but I admit it, I'm bitter about the sudden break up. Anyway, Nails & Co. is MUCH better than your average nail salon. The warm and inviting interior welcomes you for pampering and relaxation. All the tools and working surfaces are CLEAN. Very important I've come to learn after watching a Prime Time Special on illnesses women have caught from dirty tools which in some cases have caused deaths. Yikes! There are plenty of massage chairs in the back for pedicures and plenty of stations in the front for manicures. Pedicures come with an exfoliation and a lovely massage. The staff are professional and do a terrific job. Highly recommended!! Tips: Plenty of parking in the back and a convenient back entrance too (no need to enter via. the front entrance) **I had my bridesmaids nail party here and they were very accommodating. Unlike some salons that require a minimum amount of people and set tipping percentages, Nails & Co. is very flexible and does not mandate these things. We didn't rent out the whole place, but it didn't really matter since the salon is large. They even let us bring in some bubbly to celebrate!! read more

I have been going to this salon for 5plus years received amazing service from Patricia and the owner. Today I had an appointment to get pedicure and manicure with design after several discussion for 10 min the technician and the receptionist said they will not be able to do it despite of me explaining I have done it in past and I have mentioned it in my appointment . They said they will not be able to do it and asked me to leave . When I said o want to talk to the owner or the person who took the appo she said "I am the receiptionist I can make that decision and if you don't leave I will call the police and she called the police" . I am surprised with this behavior as has been going to this salon for so many years. I hope the owner sees this and calls me . I have proof of this incident. Also, there was another lady just before me who came with her daughter and she wanted design and they said yes to her and denied my service despite of my appointment. It was my first time getting a manicure and a pedicure. I was greeted and helped right away. I got time to choose my colors and didn't feel rushed. I was worked on by Rosa; she didn't speak English fluently, so it was kind of hard to understand, but I didn't mind. The pedicure was really relaxing and calming. I wished my toes were shaped better though, but the process was worth it. I was then brought over to do my nails. Been going here every month for 9 years about time I wrote a review! I thought I did this years ago I guess not. This is the only nail salon that when you get a pedicure they do a ten minute calf and foot massage! And the only salon that has the pedicures in separate rooms which just makes everything so comfortable and personable. The owners son is the one at the front desk he is always so accommodating and kind. They give you water too upon arriving. The place is gorgeous and clean with reasonable prices for the service they provide! They offer everything and are highly trained. There's parking in the back and they even except tips Venmo now which is convenient! If there's ever an issue they fix it! Very happy with them! read more

I LOVE this place when I want to spend the extra money on a great pedicure. The manicures are above average but in my opinion not worth the money. I have to disagree about the manicures lasting though. In fact, my polish from there never lasts very long, which is strange since I always use OPI other places and at home. The polish on my toes do last long than my hands but those again not as long as when I get it done at the "cheap" places. But the massage and massage chairs and the staff skills at a fabulous pedicure keep bringing me back. read more
