    Timothy D.

1st time near closing, asked for one spicey Boudin link, the lady gave me 3 extra and a water for free. 2nd time I get this near foot long spicey Boudin link on a bunch with spicey mayo for $4.45 plus tax They sell items you can cook yourself too

WOW! Words can not describe how delicious it is! The food is extremely fresh cooked to perfection, the host/lady was super friendly. When we ask for spicy we are always a bit disappointed but here you ask for spicy and they deliver! Definitely gives bodega vibes! I will definitely come back.

First, the cracklins!!!! Y'all, they are so good. I lived in Lafayette for a long time, and these are as good as the ones I used to get there. Second, the shrimp was so good too. Super fresh! Last, the man behind the register was super friendly and you can tell he loves what he does! We definitely plan on coming back. Don't let the fast food look on the outside fool you. It is definitely local and made from scratch.

1 fish and 6 shrimp combo.

The fish and shrimp combo was delicious. Crispy, slightly spicy, and fried perfectly. Fries weren't bad, just not my favorite. If you like semi thick cut that are fluffy inside, you'll like these. I like crispy fries, would have been delicious if they were crinkle cut.

    Fish and shrimp

Driving through and thought I'd try it. Got frozen sausage for red beans and rice at home. The fried fish is burnt, and half of the filet is broken off and missing. Definitely doesn't look like the photos from other reviews. The shrimp and fries smell and taste like old burnt oil.

    On I-10: Easy-off, easy-on Exit 873.

Good customer service! The shrimp poboy was tasty. The onion rings are definitely something you should try.

After a lengthy discussion on where she wanted to eat, she decided here. It was later during the evening, and places tend to close early. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our service was sub-par, but I understand it was almost 8, and the service providers wanted to leave, I'm sure. Moreover, we were honestly hungry and wanted to eat. I've eaten there before and never had an issue. I specifically asked about the oysters and how much? How many come in an order? and so on. He proceeded to quote me a price that was not on the menu, and it was not listed. I asked about substitutions, and he said sure we can do that. Once the bill arrived, I was totally lost. Let me preface by saying I had no problem paying the bill and paid my bill. What I expressed to the server and the manager was that, as a customer, I have every right to know exactly what I am paying for and how much. The manager stated that, "Oysters are expensive and change in pricing." I agreed and stated, "That's fine, but I like to know exactly what I am paying for!" I expressed the poor business practice as it removes the customer's choice to choose. But I realized that I was another "face" and it really didn't mean anything. I honestly love seafood and love my hometown, but I mean, I would never, and I mean never, visit this establishment again. It just showed me that catering to a certain crowd is what you're into, and that's fine. I will tell everyone I know that y'all suck and never come to eat here. Happy New Year!!!

I grabbed a couple of piping hot crawfish pies, not because I like crawfish pie, but because I would love to find one that was as good as it sounds. The search continues. While the pie crust was superb, and price was very reasonable, filling was skimpy. Given that I'm not a huge fan of crawfish, perhaps the hint of filling was better.

This place has been here for a while and they just want to serve a good meal with no frills. They'll promptly greet you when you walk in the door. Take a seat and make your pick off the menu. We opted to share the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes & green beans. Portions were plentiful and they were kind enough to split the portions in the kitchen before serving so we each got our own plate full of deliciousness. These are real homemade sides, nothing out of a can! The green beans were soft and flavorful and the mashed taters were fluffy and thick that would stick to the ceiling if you tossed them up! Lol! Try the cracklins! OMG! Fresh made to order! Buy by the lb of specific dollar amount. Overall a delicious food experience. We will definitely be stopping in again when in the area. Don't be put off by the location (it's next to a small casino), you'll be glad you stopped in!

It's a small food truck on the side of the road adjacent to an indoor eating area, don't let that fool you though! I ordered the fried green beans, cajun boudin balls, and gyro original pita. Portions were generous and packaged in a to go box for easily taking on-the-go. However if you want to eat it right away, there is a large indoor eating area with several tables. Neat concept! The gyro was delicious and tasted like the ones I've had in Houston. That alone with the side of fries was enough to fill me up. The boudin balls and fried green beans were both amazing and I ended up saving some for the air fryer the next day. There aren't many places that serve fried green beans, so I love the creativity here! They have a very expansive menu with lots of options for appetizers. I wish I had enough room in my tummy to try everything at once because all the fried appetizers especially sounded so good! Next time I definitely want to try the buffalo fried cauliflower, fried green tomatoes, and mac and cheese bites. The owner working inside the truck was super friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him for a bit. He told me he's been open for about 6 months but just recently got the business onto Yelp. So if you're reading this now, Yelp advertising works...now go check this place out! I look forward to coming back when I'm in the area...I'm coming for those fried foods!
