Stopped by here on the way to Houston. (Around 3pm+) . It was quiet, had Tilapia filets with shrimp fries rice , salt pepper shrimp. (Light breading, just enough seasoning!). Food comes out hot! Great portion and great taste on both. And the pricing? Great price for what you will be getting. Would come here again if we ever pass this location. Too bad it's far from home :( read more

Fantastic find! Who would imagine that this tiny seafood restaurant in Vidor Tx would be this good. Friendly efficient counter service. Quick and Delicious. Had six large perfectly grilled Sea scallops and six shrimp on a bed of stir fried rice for an extremely good price. Just off of Interstate 10 on Main Street exit. Passing through for the evening and wanted to do local for dinner. Polite service and decent takeout timing. Order catfish fillet platter that comes with 4 fillets. However, received 2 fillets and a mini fillet. Fish and fries had no flavor, no even salt. Maybe other items on their menu is better because this was not it. read more

We were passing through on highway and thought we'd get Popeye's. However, we saw this place next door and figured it was much better. The local crowd inside affirmed our belief. The girl at the front counter was courteous and helpful. The food came out in a few minutes and the portions were pretty good sized. The crawfish fried rice had a decent amount of crawfish and tasted good. The seafood gumbo was very tasty. The fried oysters were amazing; so juicy. The fried catfish and the french fries were OK. Overall I would give this 4.5 stars, but given how good some food items were, I'll give it 5. If this place was in Houston, it would be super crowded. read more

This is our first visit here and they just held their grand opening. Our appetizer of choice was the crab ragoons. I've never had these before and wasn't sure how they were suppose to taste. They are cream cheese filled pastries laced with crab meat. I didn't taste the crab meat but they had plenty of cream cheese. I thought this item would be better suited as a dessert. I did like them but I'd prefer less cream cheese. My entree was a bowl of seafood gumbo. I liked the flavor of this dish. It contained small shrimp but there were plenty of them. The rue was light and it had a spicy kick to it. I liked this dish as well. The air conditioner was messed up so they had portable fans to cool the dining room. It was fine at first, but the spiciness Of the gumbo caused me to become uncomfortably hot. Hope they get it fixed soon. My daughter ordered the catfish strips. This came with fries and coleslaw. I really liked her fish. The batter had just the right amount of seasoning. The fish was juicy. I will probably get the catfish next time I am here. read more

This place is a hidden jewel. The seafood gumbo was delicious with an abundance of seafood, the fried fish and shrimp was plentiful and the coleslaw was the bomb. We travel through here from Florida to Houston and will make this a favorite pit stop from now on. Passing by to get some hot food to-go and found this place. I ordered crawfish fried rice and chicken wings and the wings comes with fries, it is was crispy and tasty. The fried rice portion is huge! It was worth more than the price honestly with the portion given. You don't find this in Austin. read more

Just passing through town and stopped for lunch. The young lady at the counter was very polite and recommended the Cajun fried rice, which will feed two people easily. Loaded with crawfish, shrimp, sausage, onions and bell pepper, it was excellent. The boudin balls were very good and a bowl of seafood gumbo sealed the deal for me. Next door to Popeyes but choose Noah's instead! Yum! Grilled shrimp and scallops combo was perfectly coolly and seasoned. Fried rice under was ok-- best with a bit of the seafood. Gumbo was very tasty. Hush puppies crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Grilled tilapia seasoned so well! Lots of options on the menu--some non seafood. Okay, the best thing I can say about this place is its portions are HUGE. Unfortunately, the food isn't that great. Not sure how they've gotten such high rankings as we used Yelp to select this. We love trying local places on our travels but now we wish we'd gone to the Popeye's Chicken next door. I had the chicken fried rice which had the worst quality of chicken I've had in a long while and it tasted (and smelled) like the oil used to stir fry was very, very old. My husband had the shrimp po-boy which was "okay, but kind of tasteless & nothing to write home about." The fries were better than the shrimp. Very disappointing. I travel a lot so I'm always on the lookout for new places to satisfy my pallet. One important thing to know about Noah's is they do something common, uncommonly well. The hostess/cashier was very polite and the food was out pretty quickly. I ordered a bowl of gumbo followed by two grilled catfish filets on a bed of rice. The gumbo was great. It's my policy if you don't do good gumbo nothing else will be worth eating. The filers were a nice size and tasted fresh not fishy. We have are here a few times and the food is just ok. If you have never had salt and pepper chicken then this place would be a mice place to try it and be introduced to the taste, but the are definitely not the best example. The popcorn shrimp lacks flavor, but the catfish is not bad. read more

We stopped by Noah's seafood because it was right off the highway. They have a lot of options on the menu which was great! I tried the crab Ragoon, salt and pepper chicken and fried shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection!! The chicken wings were really crispy and you could hear a crunch with every bite! Usually crab Ragoon are really cheesy to me but this one was just right!! The fried shrimp were definitely delicious! The place has a nice vibe to it! Definitely will be trying this place again. There is a Popeyes next door but if you are looking for crispy chicken! This was the best place around for seafood. We always get the grilled Salmon and shrimp and it has been unbeatable. We've noticed over the last several months that the quality has just continued to decline and today we ate there for the last time. The salmon was so small and thin and dry it was terrible. The rice was awful and the shrimp had no flavor, when we complained about the fish we were told that the cashier would talk to the cook about it, when we asked to speak to a manager, there wasn't one. read more

I always get the salt and pepper shrimp. This is addictive. I have to have it at least once a week. I thought it would be black pepper, but it is red pepper, but not as hot as red pepper usually is. It comes with pretty big shrimp and it's fried and seasoned to perfection.. It comes on a bed of a whole lot of shrimp fried rice. There is always lots of little shrimps in the shrimp fried rice, they do not skimp out on the shrimp there on anything. I love this place. I love this dish so much I can't bare to try anything else yet, and I have been going here for months.. It's ADDICTIVE!! It was served with a sweet and sour sauce which I didn't care for Too much sweet. Something spicy or tangy would have been better.
