There aren't any words to describe what the founder of BBTB does to help one of the most discriminated breed, the bully type dogs. I met her because I was looking to help someone that due to medical reasons, had to re-home her two dogs. At the time, I was looking for a small terrier type and found the lady's add for her 8lbs Poodle/Yorkie/Chihuahua (amongst others lol) little girl dog. When I met the lady, she told me about her Bully, "Jewelz" and how she had been trying to find her a home and had been unsuccessful. I wasn't sure how, but I knew I wanted to help so I took the info of the dog and went back home to see what I could do. I posted the dog in my neighborhoods Nextdoor app, hoping for a miracle...and ask and you shall receive. One of the neighbors told me to reach out to BBTB. Now, something I haven't mentioned is I live in Orlando, FL, the dog was in Ocala, FL and BBTB is in Maine... the neighbor that commented also mentioned that "transport could be arranged". I had no clue what that even meant but I reached out. Not only did the founder of BBTB answer me immediately and agreed to help me. but she also arranged for transport to get the dog from Florida to Maine. She introduced me to this amazing volunteer transport group that I am now officially also a part of. I have helped move I don't even know how many dogs since that day. I always looked for ways to help and she took me in as a foster, even though we had never met in person, she trusted me with taking care of one of her dogs (they are all her dogs once she accepts them). I am "Orlando foster girl" and I am so happy and thankful to her. I am now a part of a network of volunteers that love helping animals and I owe that to Katie, founder of BBTB. She takes on case after case, works tirelessly to find them fosters and provide for them. She runs a TIGHT ship and doesn't play games. She will always take a dog back, doesn't matter the reason or if she's full; to her they will always be a part of her and she ai do whatever it takes to make sure the promise she makes them, of a happy ending, happens. She's so dedicated and responsible; I truly admire her. I have nothing but great things to say about her. She has to have impacted many people because like I mentioned, someone from an Orlando Nextdoor page is who recommended her to me and I never asked how the girl knew about BBTB but I don't doubt that they at some point, helped her too. let's have a pity party for you, poor Katie. I've left a comment on the facebook account addressing this situation and was blocked and deleted almost immediately. you told nothing close to the truth about a dog, and you used a false sales pitch just to get rid of an animal and make a paycheck. you said he needed work but could be walked, played with and wasn't aggressive. none of the above could be done with him, he was terrible on a leash, tried to attack any vehicle that drove by. he would get aggressive very quickly while playing, and had attacked the owner you keep mentioned on your FB multiple times. She returned the dog to you because of the danger he posed to her and you make all these comments putting her down and referring to her as "not a normal person". you claim that this animal needs a strong man to boss him around and train him, when you sold a dog to a younger girl you stated that she is a perfect match and the best owner for him and that he is timid around men. everything you have said has been false. since getting him back every post on your FB has been about him and bad mouthing the girl who returned him to you, in attempt to draw attention and get rid of him again because you know how challenging he is and now you are stuck with him, but euthanasia is always an option right! you said it yourself when he was returned. you lie to cover up your mess and target the previous owner as if it's her fault when she was lied to by you the whole time. you are a cheap scam. I highly recommend searching else where if you are looking to adopt. this woman has been extremely unprofessional and disrespectful since the return of an animal and chose to go to social media to draw attention to it and belittle the one who returned an animal. There is text messages that can be made public if need be. She has used this opportunity to benefit herself and oh start a new fundraiser? it's all a scam to make money, at the expense of a young girl who was lied to and feels awful about having to return an animal she wanted to give a chance and then to be belittled on social media and used as the reason for a money grab. extremely unprofessional read more

Katie and everyone at BBTB are amazing. They are completely transparent about every dog they have. We love our Journey girl, they were very honest about everything with her. They would never lie or hide anything as they truly care about the dogs in their care and want them to have a good life. As far as the one negative review, I can confirm it's a complete lie. I know exactly which dog the lady is talking about and am very familiar with the issues he needs to work on, as it was stated over and over and over again that he needed an experienced owner who was willing to work with him...in every single post about him. It's ​simply not possible for what the woman is saying to be true. Personally, I feel Yelp should delete it as it's 100% false. Total fabrication. She lied about her ability and willingness to work with him, this is in no way shape or form the fault of BBTB. PLEASE consider adopting or donating to this amazing group. read more

I adopted 2 dogs from BBTB last year. They are sisters that were thrown away. These girls have been such loving and sweet dogs. Katie was awesome through the entire process and believe me it is a process. There were many questions and requirements that needed to be answered and followed to even be considered to take one of her dogs. They are thorough and upfront about everything you are agreeing to. The girls we got had skin issues when we got them. They were on meds but required additional treatments after we got them. We spent 1000,s of dollars at the vets to help get these girls skin issues resolved. We also sent them to training. All part of owning dogs and wanting to give them the best life possible. We are so grateful that we are able to make a difference in these 2 girls lives and provide a home that will always love support and provide what they need. Thank you Katie!! Katie at Blessed Be the Bullies is amazing. She will give you all the knoedge you need to ensure your adoption is the perfect fit for your family. Katie goes through an extensive check before handing these animals to just anyone. When adopting an animal, you know exactly what your potential animal needs and what the nature of the animal is. Katie will be transparent from the get go. Your baby needs training? You will know . Needs to be the only animal? She will tell you. Don't allow this animal around small kids or cats. She will tell you. Katie and Blessed Be The Bullies will always be my choice for animals I adopt. I have gotten 4 in the last two years, and it's been the best experience of my life! I have been fostering for BBTB for a little over a year now. I was not ready for another pup, after losing my girl to cancer, but I had a pup that kept "showing up" on my Facebook page needing a place to stay. I decided to contact the rescue and set up a meet and greet. The rescue performed reference checks on me, and then set up a time for the meet. Gunner was a very energetic, approx. 80 lb pitbull mix. Katie, the owner of the rescue, explained all of Gunner's needs and traits (good and bad) before we agreed I would take Gunner home. She made sure I had everything I needed, and her contact info, just in case I needed anything. I would highly recommend this rescue to anyone looking to adopt, or foster. I adopted a dog from this organization about 2 years ago and it's been awesome. Since then I've watched them online and even donated a number of times for the wonderful work they do. BBTB has been nothing but honest about their dogs and the care that they need. Every post on a dog's picture lists very clearly the the work that they need done, even the hard dogs. They are dedicated to make sure they go to the right families. I'm not sure where bad reviews come from when everything seems so transparent. I love this organization! We got our girl here just over a year ago. The transition into our home wasn't without challenges as you would expect with a rescue. This being my first time getting a rescue dog I was well-informed from BBTB that it can take up three months for a dog to feel at ease and at home especially after what some of these dogs have been through before getting to BBTB. We we're careful introducing her to the other animals and people until we got to know her and now everyone who meets her wants to take her home! I was able to introduce a friend of mine to this organization and she was able to find her own sweet girl here. read more

Blessed Be The Bullies is doing wonderful things. They are a great rescue and clearly care about the dogs in their care. They continue to save lives and do what is necessary to set the dogs up for their best life possible. The adoption fee is extremely reasonable and the dogs are fully vetted for their age. Adopting a rescue dog is a special thing. These dogs have suffered some horrible circumstances and knowing this ahead of time is crucial to helping them thrive. If you can commit and spend the time it takes to give proper decompression time you'll have yourself a new best friend for life. Highly recommend adopting from this rescue. read more

We adopted our dog Sasha from Blessed Be The Bullies. Katie, the owner, was/is amazing! She was super thorough, vettted us to make sure Sasha was going to a good home and literally gave us all the info she could on Sasha. She made sure we had all the right food, vet records and even supplied us with a dog bed and stuffies! Sasha is now 2 years old and we still stay in contact with Katie and she checks in on how Sasha is doing!
