Horrible experience I asked for financial assistance what they could do if my male cat was blocked…read moreup because the surgery was gonna be 3,000-4,000 if he was blocked up (adding in he hasn't been seen by a vet yet) I told her my age and information and immediately told me they wouldn't be able to help and he needs to be brought in to a shelter to be surrendered to the closest shelter since I can't pay for the surgery not knowing if he is blocked up or not, Tammy the financial support told me that "I'm selfish keeping him and I need to surrender him by four" mind you it was 230 while we were on the phone. This devastated me so I called multiple other family members and they told me to get him checked out at a different vet because again he hasn't been seen and we don't know what's wrong, she then proceeds to send me a voicemail " know you're upset. Um, this is Tammy from Coast, Maine. I am so sorry that this is happening to you. I'm so sorry that this is happening to your cat, but in the best interest of the cat, if he can't pee, he is in incredible pain. Um, and it's only going to get worse. So, um, what we would like you to do is surrender him to the Lewiston Animal Emergency Clinic tonight. Um, they can unblock him and then we will go and get him tomorrow for his ongoing care. There's also going to be special food that he's going to need to be on. He might need to be on medications. If he gets blocked again, there's, unfortunately right now, in your financial circumstances, you're just not going to be able to do what he needs, for him to live a happy life, and I, I think that sucks and I'm so sorry. Um but in his best interests, we would like you to surrender him to the Lewiston Animal Emergency Clinic tonight. Um, and if you can't get there, um, then surrender him to our, uh, Brunswick campus as soon as possible. Um, so preferably before 4 today, um, and one of our staff could take him to the animal emergency clinic because our our, our vet has left for the day, probably in the next half I hate to be the one to give you this news. Please report her because I have gotten in contact with multiple other people who have had the same struggle, her telling people to get rid of their animals, even though they have enough money. I believe she is very discriminating against people of race and people of age. I know a lot of people struggle and call her and actually can't take care of their cats, but that wasn't this case. Called their office today to express concerns about Fat Kitty's urine habits over the last week. I'm sure I sounded like an idiot but Sierra (I believe was her name) answered the call with such compassion and understanding. She made me feel like I did the right thing calling while also letting me know it didn't sound like an emergency. She pulled up the file quickly and was able to speak knowledgeably about a pet she may not know personally, such really speaks to the entire office's notation habits. She offered to have the doctor look over the notes and call me back with any action items. But as someone who is just watching someone else's beloved animal, I am TERRIFIED I'm doing something wrong as a non cat owner and Sierra not only made me feel so much better, she made me feel like the whole office knows this pet and cares about Fat Kitty's well being. I could not ask for a better customer interaction nor a more pleasant ending from what I was worried was a potentially hazardous experience. Thank you so much!

The day of return she was very aggressive with the dog, pulling him kicking him with her rubber farmer's boots to keep him from jumping up on her, not enough to make him yelp, but it was enough to make us awkwardly uncomfortable. My husband was jumping out of his skin so much so he offered to take the dog. She wouldn't let us touch him. She treated the dog and us so badly, barking out her commands, making us feel terrible. It worked - she is very vindictive. She sent unprovoked videos and pictures of him once he was returned. The same evening, the following day. My heart. She pulled at our heart strings using 1 of our grandson's and the rest of the family. We did miss him, our family missed him - she offered him back to us on more than one occasion and when we felt heartbroken enough we took her up on her offers and tried to get him back thru communications- she put us through hell and actually stated that we wouldn't have the health guarantee on the puppy any longer, crazy right. She wouldn't let us go get him and bring him back. I have never seen someone act this way and actually take pleasure in a really lousy situation. One she caused. We have never been treated so disrespectful and have never come across someone so unprofessional. Angelica does not like to put things in writing. I had her commitment - we wanted a mini, we bought a mini, he was not a mini. She insisted my vet was wrong still saying he was going to be 23 lbs. The only reason why she refunded the "purchase price" of dog, it was determined very early on that he was not a mini and it was in writing . We took great care of him and lost $1200 in vet cost alone. That doesn't count all the personal items. My husband is 70 years old has two fractures in his back and I've had two back surgeries. She knew this. We lost our 5 pound Yorkie two days before Christmas. So 25 lbs give or take was okay with us. He was just about that at 4.5 months. Please don't buy any responses to this review. I know her husband responded to one review and said it was slander, but he never said as much as a sentence to us. I wish I could post all the chain of events. All the positive reviews is the same language I have heard from her as well. I am on social media look me up Linda Rios 25 years breeding, no excuses. Where are all the + reviews.
