I found Happy Paws Unleashed in Topsham and love it. Although my 24 lb Cockapoo Scooter is now 10 years old we had to do something since we're retired and often invited to overnight visits out of town. We assume not everyone intends for us to bring our dog so I went on the prowl for overnight/boarding facilities that do not stick your dog in a cage and walk them twice a day. Long story short Scooter is now comfortable and has had many successful play dates and overnights at Happy Paws. Look it up and familiarize with all they have to offer including groomers that know what they're doing. They are dedicated to one thing: Making sure your dog is safe and can manage a large, social population. If not, they make adjustments that suit your dog; not a selfish agenda ($$$)! read more

I am happy to report that the issue I faced with my two dogs, Happy Paws reached out and apologized for the treatment we received by people who do not usually work front of house. consistently they have changed the price and when asked for an explanation they say it's a mistake. check your bill and get it quoted before you book. my same dog with same service range from started at $60 when I first came up to $80 several times and then down to $70. this past time they said it was more than quoted and then didn't put my tip on the receipt . very dishonest place! read more

We were looking for a dog sitting service this weekend as we moved to Maine only a few years ago so before we always had her stay with family. So me being the crazy dog person I am was so scared to leave her alone without someone who knew her for 2 days. Happy Paws was WONDERFUL!!!! Robin came and did a little meet and greet. She was warm and very understanding about my obsession with my pooch. While on our trip, they were always on time and sent a little journal update and pictures for every visit. Very reasonably priced and our Daisy seemed super chilled out when we got back, usually is very nervous and antsy after we go away. We will be using them again and again!!! read more

Stay away, owners are not present and do not care about their business or employees. I was the most recent manager. Happy Paws fired me unlawfully. They promised me and my 5 dogs job security and shelter all winter and then randomly threw us out last week in the cold after working a double shift. They knew I had zero savings and was breaking even on my bills and now I can't feed my dogs past next week. We are stranded in the cold while happy paws stole my entire business model. I doubled their revenue and got them 50 new clients that picked the business because of me. They ruined my life in a snap of their fingers. My dog children do not deserve this. While I don't have a dog, Happy Paws takes great care of my cat. I bring him in about once a month to get his nails trimmed and the ladies somehow work their magic and get it done. They are so reasonably priced and not once have they cut them too short or left them too long. Caring and welcoming staff made my dog feel safe and happy during a life transition for his family. He was being stressed out at home. By having a fun playplace with people who gave him plenty of attention he maintained his sunny disposition through our home turmoil. While we only needed short term daycare, I would certainly take him to Happy Paws Unleashed again if we were staying in the area. read more
