I've been looking for an Açaí bowl near me that has the same great quality and flavors as my favorite Hawaiian Açaí bowls. This is it! The Açaí base is thick and full of flavor. It's topped with a variety of fresh fruit plus a sprinkle of coconut, granola and chia pudding. The portion size was great and very reasonably priced (it would easily be $12 in Seattle or Hawaii). Blendful within The Needle Lounge has truly stellar açaí bowls and smoothies! Their açaí is so creamy almost like ice cream and their fruits are really premium fruits that you can taste. I'm usually a fan of Bellevue's açaí bowls like at Bellden Cafe or jujubeet, but this one has got to be my fav above all. Also got a fresh juice smoothie "The Doctor" which was pretty good, very tart, and can really taste the cayenne. Best Acai bowl hands down! The consistency is so different and better than many chained smoothie shops that I have tried. You have to try it and you can taste the difference. The toppings that comes with it are a good amount and you can customize it if you want something more or if you have any dietary restrictions for no additional cost. I'm so happy that I found an Acai shop close by to work. I don't think Washington has a variety of Acai shops. The owners were so welcoming when you walk in & the place is clean and of course the Acai Bowls & Shakes were delicious! The Acai itself wasn't sour like some place I've tried. The prices are pretty cheap for big servings! The shake my friend got was $3.50. I don't recall how much the bowl was, but I only spent $12 which included the tip. They also have a tattoo shop inside. So I thought that was pretty cool. I can't wait to come back for my next Acai fix! read more

really sucks to write this review because i have been coming to this place fairly often and their açaí is really good! not too sweet and a good ratio of toppings to açaí sorbet. i like how they layer it as well! the one asian employee who usually takes my order (unfortunately do not know her name) is kind and friendly as well! however, yesterday 08/06, I walked in at 3:50 to get a bowl ( i typically try not to walk in so close to closing as i have worked in food service before and know it can be tedious but i figured i may as well see if they are still taking orders). when i parked, one employee who i had not seen before (caucasian girl, unsure of name) immediately closed the door that was open when i pulled up. the open sign was still on, so i still walked in. the same employee was pretty rude and gave me dirty looks before eventually taking my order. the other employee who typically takes my order made the bowl and said "nice to see you!" which was nice of her. on my way out, i hear the caucasian employee saying "turn off the open sign!" in a rude tone to the asian employee. then, i walked out with my bowl not thinking much of it until two fellow asian customers outside approached me and asked if i had called in to order. when i said no, they told me that they had walked in 5 minutes before me at 3:45 and they were not served!! they had refused to serve them so close to closing. We all found it very strange that they served me but not them even though they walked in before me. One of the customers who was not served ran back into the store to confront them, saying "why did you serve her (me) and not us?". I went with her to support her. the caucasian employee immediately got flustered and was trying to make excuses for not serving them. she said " well we were closed and we only had enough for one bowl, and there were two of you!". Even if they were out of açaí or only had enough for one bowl, they could've made something else for them as they have more on their menu than just açaí. Overall it was just very suspicious that that employee refused to serve two customers who walked in 15 minutes before closing, yet still served me who walked in 10 before closing. I will probably still return to get bowls, but I definitely needed to mention that particular incident with the employee. read more

This place is legit!! I found it on Yelp and ordered via the phone(can't order online). It was for a customer lunch. I was a bit apprehensive when I pulled up bc they share a space with a tattoo shop. HOWEVER.....the Acai Love bowls were amazing!!! And I had them in the car for almost an hour before we ate them. We waited for an hour and a half /: 4 other people waited that long too if not longer. The serving size was small and it was confusing how long it took to prepare something that shouldn't take that long. The açaí is scooped out for one, so nothing needs to be blended, therefore take less time. The little fruit that they provide shouldn't take so long to cut either. We were real patient as well as the other people who waited and when we did ask for it 10 mins before we got it, we asked for the status kindly and so did the others. It was a bad experience to say the least. There was another employee there but we think he was just a tattoo artist in the same shop, he would talk to her and she seem to get distracted talking to him too. It was just confusing how long it took. There was no sense of urgency for how long she had everyone waiting for. It was good though read more

Writing this review hurts. I remember when this establishment was fairly new and I would come here on a consistent weekly basis. Now the past couple times I've been in the area and have tried to go I end up just walking away being reminded why I no longer come back. I'm not sure if it's because of the girls that work there but I remember when the operator and owner of the business used to be there and make my order without it being a problem or an issue. The last couple times I've gone in I've been questioned and I've been convinced that the customer service is no longer what I remember it to be. I remember my very first issue occurred upon trying to redeem a free bowl from the points I had accumulated. I tried to call in my order but the phone was never answered so I drove there myself and try to place my order. That was the second problem, as I'm trying to place my order both girls working are looking at each other then looking at me with all kinds of confusion noted on their faces. When I request for Len, they look at me and ask me why. I am instantly irritated because I'm using the business owners name and requesting for her service and these employees just look at me like I'm crazy. At that point I was just rude and told them that it was fine I would visit my friend on a different occasion since she isn't around. I went as far as commenting on my experience directly to the business owner, she responded and urged me to come back. So I did, or at least I try to go back. Again when I go there it is on a day that she has left early so once again I'm out of luck to personally discuss my dissatisfaction. The girls working there again misunderstand what I want tell me they're unsure if they can make the order how I'm requesting and that they needed to call Len and see what she says. At that point again I find myself walking out the door because honestly, why is it always the the subordinates have such an issue every time I try to order on the phone or in person? This is the only Açaí in Washington that's halfway decent, now I find myself not even wanting to return because every time I make the drive from four city's over it's either a problem or an inconvenience to the employees. I am from Southern California and Açaí establishments are extremely popular back home, it seems like despite my efforts to try to enjoy the bowls from this location there is always some inconvenience. I would love to say otherwise and give a much better review but I'm not exaggerating when I say I've tried coming here for the past seven months and each time walked away defeated and unable to order my usual. Sorry Washington it looks like California and my visits to California are going to be the only time I get to enjoy açaí. read more
