The Blend is like that old show Cheers. Everyone loves it and goes to mingle. I try to go every weekend for coffee to meet friends and bring my best pal who enjoys her pupachino on every visit. The Egg Sammy is my personal favorite along with a coffee which I'm so glad is given one refill. The full menu is quite expansive and they have wonderful pastries. The atmosphere is always positive and friendly and you get to meet new people. If you haven't been, you have to give Blend a try. read more

The owner and staff are without question the nicest people in the community, the coffee is always hot and delicious, the ambience is delightful, and the place is alive with customers who are invariably courteous and thoughtful. Lovely new place (for us; it opened in October 2015) serving some nice coffees. Their large cups need to be a bit larger, they feel more like a medium-sized drink. The gluten-free lemon loaf is delicious. My daughter tells me their chocolate shakes (hand dipped) are excellent. I went for an Italian roast 'Pour-over', which is hand-made by the barista. It takes some time due to the process, but it's worth the wait. Can't wait to return to Blend; really like this local place! read more

I've been trying for YEARS to find a coffee shop that is actually part of the community. They have this incredible homemade almond milk that first caught my attention and now I've been spoiled rotten. I cannot drink regular almond milk at other coffee shops because it doesn't taste right anymore. The staff takes their time to make specialized drinks for that specific customer and you can tell the difference compared to a bigger company like Starbucks. Their Food Truck Friday's are awesome too!! You must try the blueberry muffin latte with the homemade almond milk!! read more

I'm giving this 5 stars for both customer service and coffee/bakery quality. Molly and Tracy are AMAZING. They are so sweet & welcoming. Their energy is uplifting! They will also remake drinks if you're not happy with it. Their customer service is impeccable. I've tried the Golden Graham (iced), Turtle (hot), Snowy Matcha (hot), and the Crumb Cake....they're all so amazing. I don't think you could go wrong with anything here :) read more

They pull a double which is about 1.5 shots. +ambiance is wonderful inside and outside +friendly staff +not a chain ~they use Monin syrups, which is not particularly inspiring but they didn't overdo it on the syrup for the mocha so it was a nice bittersweet. It was a lovely reminder that the mass produced flavorings aren't terrible just overused in most chain places. ~Strawberry Lemon scone was not good. Definitely my favorite place in the Ashburn / Broadlands area to relax with really good coffee and Gluten free donuts and brownies. My goto drink is the iced mocha with coconut milk, delicious. Last time I ordered it, a knowledgeable staff member named Ken made it. The real reason why this place deserves 5-Stars though is because of the private spots to gather your thoughts, game plan, and strategize as well as places for me to socialize and meet with clients...the best of both worlds. This is one of the best coffee places I've been to. Honestly! The place is super hipster! The place is super cozy and has such a delightful welcoming interior. The designs and the seating area is a great place if you truly just need to unwind. They even have these really neat chairs that hang from the top. You can swing and spin in them. Unfortunately, the kids usually monopolize that. I got a simple vanilla latte. The service was great! They try to memorize who's coffee goes to which customers which is nice and convenient! When you evaluate the thing you look for in a small, local coffee shop, Blend delivers on all fronts. It's tough to find a place like this on the outskirts of the DC/NoVA metro area, but I'm glad they set up shop here to compete with the not-terribly-infrequent showings of Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks in the area. I've been coming here for a few months now since I moved to the area and pretty much refuse to go back to the traditional commercial channels of getting my coffee. When I first came here, what blew me away was the patio space outside, which is simply amazing to use when it's nice out. People parking their bikes nearby, dogs relaxing in the sun, and the occasional chalk art from the kids really lend to a family oriented space. They even hosted a talent show for the community (Ashburn's Got Talent) that had an amazing turnout and showcasing of local talent. The interior decor features a large exposed brick backdrop and lots of minimalist wooden fixtures without being overly gaudy. Menus on the wall and the huge calendar are tastefully curated and designed by one of the staff members, giving an immediate homey feel. Seating in generous even when busy due to lots of sq. footage in a usable format. I really appreciate the varying degrees of counter space and seating styles; the varying lengths and heights to allow for those that type, work, read, or have conversations to find the correct ergonomics. It really does just FEEL like a great coffee place! The staff is consistently pleasant, punctual, and never afraid to strike up a conversation. I've never had a bad cup of coffee here, and really do love the varying degrees of products they offer. I wouldn't consider myself a coffee aficionado, but talking with the staff here, you can tell they are incredibly passionate about both coffee and customer service. Ask them for recommendations! And for later in the evening, there is even a small wine selection, which makes it a great spot for after dinner conversation. I think I can classify myself as a regular here at this point, so whenever the staff inevitably reads this, I hope you guys know that I sincerely appreciate the work, dedication, and great conversations I continue to have day in and day out. I originally came here just to find a quiet spot to read comic books, and ended up finding much more. I came here on a whim because the reviews are so positive, and I am ALWAYS up for a coffee shop outing. Blend is located within a small shopping center, and so, it has a ton of convenient parking. Even better, though, is that it has about 5 Blend-designated spots which is fantastic! Anyway, it's on the corner, and once you walk in, the place has been decorated as if it's been there for years. It looks so comfy and homey, and everyone looks to be a regular. There was only one barista behind the counter when I arrived, so I had to wait a few minutes before I was acknowledged. I was happy to see the menu largely printed on the wall along with the teas listed on the counter. Everything was clearly legible. I ultimately ordered a hazelnut latte to go. For just under $5, I was given a piping hot espresso/milk mix with scant hazelnut flavor. I never add sugar to my lattes because they're typically sweet with the flavoring, and I want to taste the coffee. This one was just eh though. I didn't get any coffee taste and the hazelnut was so light that I wished I had put sugar in it. As others have mentioned, Blend has other things going for it - it has a large outdoor patio and a calendar of events like no other coffee shop has in the area! Bottom line: this is certainly a nifty neighborhood coffee shop/wine bar combo that's good for a friend meet-up, date, or take away order. read more

This is a hidden gem in Ashburn area. They have such a lively, bright, and rustic vibe. I can sit there for hours and hangout with friends. The Happy Gilmore (ras-peary-lemon "ade") is delicious so as the coconut cake ice tea. The customer service is excellent and the staff is very friendly and happy! I love Blend. By far it's my favorite coffee bar in Loudoun County! They have a variety of drinks hot and cold and a fine selection of speciality latte flavors. I have yet to try any coffee ones but I am a huge fan of their cookie butter chai latte. For those of you who love matcha, they have that too! This place is a hidden treasure! Found it randomly passing by and I am glad I did. The whole ambiance of the place is homey and comfy. I sometimes come here to study or enjoy a weekend coffee with a friend. Most of the drinks I have ordered have been good, but some have been misses (too strong, too watery, etc). Ive found that as long as I am super detailed with what I want and how I want it to taste, it'll come out perfect. The food is good too- the grilled cheese is my go to! 1st , The barista didn't know what I ordered. 2nd , I asked for a small almond vanilla latté and when the barista called it, he said a 'medium almond milk latte'. I asked if it was vanilla? He said, oh yes, sorry... (where is the communication?) Unfortunately the latté was barely drinkable. It was very sour. I drank a least half of it cause it was $6.00 wasted. Love coming to this place with my girl whenever we get the chance too. The owner is really nice and staff is always friendly. The patio outside is beautiful and very spacious so there always seats available. This coffee bar gives a very cozy feeling from all the decor and it's great! The coffee is rich and tasteful and you get some art as well which is really neat. Haven't had much of the pastries but they sell really good coffee cakes made from a bakery shop I'm guessing near by. They also have a chalk board calendar with all the events they do throughout the month. Will be coming here a lot in the future! read more

I really wish I could give this place a 4 or 5 star review but sadly I can't. The place is adorable and they have their style all figured out. However, I wasn't super impressed with my cappuccino. I think I've made better cappuccino's at home. I also thought the artichoke dip was a little overpriced for the portion. It was also extremely salty to the point that I almost couldn't finish it. Blend is my go-to coffee spot. Over the years of being a friendly neighbor Blend has picked up their coffee game. The cold brew is always available and on point. My kids LOVE their cake pops which are often seasonally themed. We love their Food Truck dinners and Golly Waffles for breakfast. The patio is great for the kids but also open mic nights and whatnot. Their egg sandwich (minus sausage) is awesome. They have great vegan/vegetarian options in their cold food bar. I'd love to see similar availability in their menu one day. They source local roasted beans and options. It's such a delight to have such a great business, let alone an amazing coffee shop, behind my house! I couldn't recommend this shop enough. read more
