Awesome chicken sandwiches!! Back in CT, we've had a bit of a "takeover" of hot chicken sandwich joints, so when I saw Blazin J's pop-up, I added it to the list for our Lancaster trip! Really good sandwich that wasn't too spicy! Actually disappointed in the spice, definitely thought it could be more. The chicken was cooked perfectly though and pretty sizable. The fries were seasoned really well, but weren't crispy at all. Not sure of that was their intention? Either way, great "fast food" meal from this local joint! Glad we checked them out.

Blazin Js has INCREDIBLE chicken. There make your own chicken sandwich with the hot honey sauce is out of this world. Their fries are also incredible and the blue lemonade is so delicious. My only complaint is that you have to make sure you check your order. Several times some thing has either been missing from on my MYO sandwich or an item has been missing from the bag. I totally get that people make mistakes, so that's why I keep coming back and will give an amazing review. But it has to be mentioned. Otherwise, the staff and food is incredible. They also have a new takeout window and are open late, so it's the perfect meal after an evening out on the town.

How delicious! The sandwich I ordered was great! Could have been a bit hotter but I loved it, the fries were great too. I love spicy sandwiches and this place didn't disappoint, the meat was huge and the roll didn't even cover the whole sandwich it was just enough heat to be enjoyable and not a turn-off. The lemonade could use a little more help but I enjoyed my food from here

Forget about chic-fil-a, this place has the best Nashville hot chicken sandwich I've ever had. Previously held in my books by "king of the coop" in Tampa. Now I don't have to travel as far. (Sorry KOTC) The staff are super friendly and always ask how your food was. Seems well staffed and both times I've been there the place has been packed. Both times I got the "J's Way" combo. Bun is Brioche style bun, fresh and soft. Chicken is a huge juicy chunk of pure white meat breast that doesn't fit on the bun, it's a meal in itself. Covered in all sorts of spices and secret sauce. The pickles are delicious. Fresh cut fries are just that, fresh. I'm very picky about my fries and these are great, especially dipped in their ranch dressing (which I'm happy to say isn't kens steakhouse crap that some places pass off as ranch) Had the blue raspberry lemonade to drink, super gmy only complaint was I ran out before the end of my meal, because this sucker is SPICY and requires frequent irrigation of the mouth to calm things down. Facility is a little small but that's what's you get in the city. Recommend parking on the street, in the lot behind the courthouse or the big Hager lot down the street (then you can stop for some coffee or tea at passenger on the way back to your car)

Checking in Wednesday the 27th for Lunch.. my Review is coming.. Expectations are high!!!

The Famous hot chicken sandwich hit home... a Perfect bun, great texture held up through the battle like a champ. The Chicken was juicy with a perfect crispy outside, then Bam the deep Smokey sauce with just the right spice and bite, following that comes the cool tart and crunch of the pickle while a smooth creamy pepper cheese and spicy mayo take over your tongue... oh yeah, the fries are spectacular too.... Check me out Wednesday for lunch #wolfindakitchn #shotsbycdw @Blazin' J's

Went to the Horse Inn last week and had a really good time. Cool place. You kinda feel like you are…read morein an old horse barn which is actually pretty sweet. They do this mystery beer thing which is just a cheap beer but it's fun and feels on brand for the place. Food wise the beef tips are the move. I would honestly go back just for that. Good spot overall.

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.

This was my 2nd time coming to Mad Chef!…read more The first time I came here was about 2 years ago (before doing yelp reviews). I was not very impressed. This time around I cannot complain! Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!

Big Sigh... An attempt to create something good, unsual, but…read morenot only falls short in doing so, the inflated prices were enough for you to rethink your groceries for the week. Maybe what I smelled upon walking inside Mad Chef, were hops; I'm unsure. There was a lingering, unpleasant scent (hay/old peanut shells, an earthy staleness). When my food arrived, the scent dissipated. I purposely took a picture of the fish, on my fried fish sandwich, to illustrate what $17 and some change, looks like - very thin. The fish fry was tasty, slightly undercooked, soft crusted and soft bun, fresh condiments and those "pickles" were stellar. They were the best part of my meal. I would seriously purchase a jar of those pickles. Was wary of how hot honey would mesh with a pepperoni pizza, but surprisingly, the sweet heat and the savoriness of the pepperonis, worked well together. The only miss and it's a pretty big "miss," was the paper thin, tasteless crust, acting only as a vehicle to hold the toppings. Suggest you improve the crust and then, you'll have a stellar pie. Loved the peach bread pudding with brown sugar ice cream, but once again, for the price; the portion was skimpy. Liked the touch of homemade whipped cream, but it was overly whipped (stiff and tasteless), making it actually, impalatable.
