The whole place smells like old fryer and the taste is stuck to the food. Honestly. The breading tastes like they use the same fryer for fish, which they obviously do not, so the fact that is has a burnt fishy taste is not good. I would rate this a 3.5 if I could. Just went for the first time. The food was great, but it's December and they had the door propped open the entire time we had our food. There is very limited seating as it's a small place and we were pretty close to the door but I could also hear the customers at the table behind us complain about being cold. I got past being cold myself but then was disappointed when my sandwich and fries became cold quick too. Also a little pricey, but the chicken is really good quality. We had the strips and a sandwich, both were equally good. We understand they had the door open because with having all big glass windows it gets foggy and steamy, but instead of creating outdoor seating in the winter they should invest in a dehumidifier or consult a professional company who deals with their specific issue. Menu is simple. They focus on the essentials and that's what counts. Everything is made to order and it's always so good. We got take out here last week, 1 grilled and I fried spicy chicken sandwich with fries. Food was fairly priced, especially for the large piece of chicken that came in both sandwiches. We really wanted to lIke the food, especially since we frequent Wendy's, Popeyes and Chick Fil A for their spicy chicken sandwich. The bread was fresh, solid and the pickles were local and tasty. The chicken was well seasoned and had a different (but great) flavor/heat compared to the other places, but the piece of chicken that I got was quite dry and on the tough side. The grilled chicken was tasty and moist and cooked perfectly. The French fries were a tad on the overseasoned/salted side, but still tasty. Overall slightly dIsappointed in the dry fried chicken, but the grilled was so good it might be worth a second try in the future. read more

It was super crispy, very well seasoned and juicy. The waffle was simple, fluffy and an filling side. My mother got the fries and those were just as good.I got a lemonade and it was sweet but it wasn't overwhelming. The bill came out to around $31 which seemed like a lot for two chicken sandwich meals and a side of fries but it was most definitely worth every penny. you're paying for quality and that's what you get. That was until one day I got my usual and- the bread was burnt. it was mainly the sides going into part of the sandwhich. it was so crunchy and atleast to me, hard to eat even. it tasted wierd too. This chicken sandwich was pretty good. This is certainly not the best chicken sandwich in the area but it was not bad. Sauce has a good smoky bbq taste which is different and it is Hot!!!! The wait was about 10 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Mine was supposed to have no mayo but it came with it as I expected would happen (happens to me no matter where i go). I returned to the register and the guys making my sandwich remedied the situation in about another 2 minutes which was fine. Upon looking at the kitchen ticket it was never relayed to them on the ticket to leave the mayo off so I don't blame them, it was just an honest mistake from the person at the register. This place is amazing! We had no idea we could get such an amazing chicken sandwich in downtown Lancaster! A friend had recommended it to us and it was incredible! There were 8 in our party and they were so accommodating to us with this whole Covid thing. They brought out extra tables and chairs for us to be able to sit outside together in our group. The chicken has a dark and smokey spice to it, which is well balanced with thick cuts of excellent pickles and a tasty sauce. Bun was also a winner. This is by far the best chicken I've ever had in my life!Absolutely delicious and has a spicy kick for those of us who like our chicken hot. The fries were great as well, and the workers were friendly and ready to crack a joke with you, which made for an even better time. I then learned that J himself was working up front, which I think is awesome, as you don't see many restaurant owners so hands on with customers. Good serving of juicy fried chicken breast, dipped in house hot sauce (Nashville hot chicken style), with pepper jack cheese, house hot mayo, and pickles, on a good bun. The sandwich fits together well and is easy to eat, and has perfect balance of all flavors. It has spice notably but is not too spicy by any means unless you absolutely hate spicy things. We are trying to support local businesses by choosing somewhere to do pick up once a week. Blazing J's was somewhere we hadn't been previously but was intrigued by their menu. Three of us ordered sandwiches all different. One with hot sauce, one with mild and spicy mayo and one with mild. We all gave them a thumbs up. We also had fries and waffles. The bread doesn't break on you like some popular chicken places.
