I can't believe I hadn't reviewed this place. I stop in everytime I'm in Gardner. I love the old school diner type feel. You order at al the counter and the menu is pretty big. They have something for everyone. Burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, wraps, salads, popcorn shrimp, fish sandwiches....the list goes on. The lot is small but there is a drive thru. Everything is cooked to order. Nice and fresh! Limited seating inside and some patio seating outside. If you haven't been in here you'll thank me later. I've never had a bad experience. read more

I ordered a Charbroiled bacon cheeseburger (no pickles), onion rings and a strawberry shake to go. I should have checked the bag before I left. I was back on 35 headed north when I finally got the chance. I think I got someone else's order with my name on it. The bag contained a Blazers cheeseburger (with pickles) and Fries. It was too late to go back as I had an appointment, so I decided to eat it. The fries were limp and greasy (I prefer crispy) and the burger tasted just like a Sonic burger. The shake was good with real strawberry blended into it. Overall for a first time experience , I was severely disappointed, but I will go back and try again the next time I'm in the area as it just didn't occur to me that someone else in the restaurant may have the same name (it's not often I hear my name as it's not popular.) Very good chicken fried steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, fried okra (extra but worth it!) and a dinner roll. The employees were very patient with us for taking one of the few tables for 2+ hours. This is a great classic burger and ice cream joint! I've only been here a couple of times, but I def recommend it. The ice cream in the containers is blue bunny, so I'd recommend one of their soft-serve creations. The burgers are good and so are the tots. If you are looking for a great burger in Southern Johnson County, it doesn't get any better than Blazers. I've never had a bad burger here. They are delicious, hot, fresh, juicy, and the meat is ground in house. My go-to order is the Blazer cheeseburger with everything, and my wife and I split an order of the pickle chips. I've also tried the Mexican food- the tamales and tacos were good, but the real star here is their burgers. I've gotten the double Blazer before, and had a hard time finishing it.
