Love this place! This is my go-to for pizza that is fresh and filling. I love thin crusted pizza, so I may be biased. Their spicy red sauce is to die for!!! It is flavorful, spicy and uhmmm sooo good. And the fact that you can mix sauces!? Wow. For cheese, I prefer only to put mozarella and parmesan. The other cheeses offered make the pizza way too wet (I've tried it once) and made my experience eating the pizza pretty difficult. I usually like to put chicken, italian meatball, and bacon, with some assorted vegetables. I've never really had a problem besides a few times, my pizza came out a bit too burnt, but I'll forgive them. In all, he food is great and the workers are lively and helpful. Sometimes, they even offer to put away your plate and clean up after you're done. They try their best to make sure you have a great meal there. 10/10 Would come again. read more

Yummy pizza that will keep you satisfied!! It's about 8.95 to create your own pizza with unlimited toppings for the pizza (meat, veggies, sauces and etc..) it's kind of like pieology but even better. The service here is okay, not the best but they always work really fast to make sure that no one is waiting too long for their food. It takes about 7 minutes to bake the personalized pizza. My favorite is that thicker crust that it has on the side compared to pieology's thinner crusts. Expect lots of college students at this place! :) read more

The best pizza in Davis. Best staff too. The crust is perfectly thin- NY style. The produce is gorgeous and fresh. All of the ingredients were great. The only challenge is not putting too many toppings on and overwhelming the flavor and texture of the wonderful crust. The personal, unlimited toppings pizzas seem a little steep at 7.95, but it's SO MUCH FOOD. I only ate half my pizza and I was overly full. As my snapchat friends can vouch for, I am a blaze superfan. I have been here and ordered from here about 20 times in the few months that it has been open. I am absolutely in love with the customization, affordability, and wonderful service. It is a fast food restaurant, as advertised by their 180 fast-fired cooking, but they have the hospitality of a nice sit-down place. As soon as you come in, you are created by at least one of the staff and throughout your meal, someone will come check up on you to see if you need anything. The setup is kinda like a conveyer belt where you and your pizza move through the different sauce/meat/veggie stations similar to Chipotle and Subway. They have a few preset options such as basic cheese and meat lovers, but I always prefer to do the build-your-own option. While I have tried a bunch of the options available, I'll share the pizza I have perfected to my own taste. I love the Spicy Red Sauce, which has a great tartness and a nice kick that tastes awesome. After sauce comes the cheese station. They have a great selection, which I think is really great. I love getting the Shredded Mozzarella for a nice even coverage of cheese and the Ovalini Mozzarella for those bites of extra cheesy gooey bites. For my meats, I usually pick Salami, Italian Sausage, and Italian Meatball, a very Italian selection. The sausage and the meatballs are very well seasoned and go well with the salami. For the veggies, I get Red Peppers for a little bit of sweetness, Spinach to try to be a little healthy, and Chopped Garlic because it is amazing. I also get Artichokes, which I love that I can get without paying extra for a "premium" ingredient. The last station before the oven is the seasoning station, where you can get Kosher Salt and Oregano sprinkled on top. I normally only get the salt, but both are very good. I absolutely this concept of personalized pizzas. The fact that each person can get exactly what they want without paying an exorbitant price is awesome. For the same price as any regular entree, you get any and as many toppings as you want on an amazing thin crust that always comes out perfectly cooked. If I'm getting a group lunch or dinner, or even breakfast, I always suggest going here. I have never had a bad experience in any of my many visits. If I could, I would give Blaze 10 stars. read more

I like Blaze for many reasons: spacious, inside and outside eating available, vegan cheese, unlimited toppings, you know it! Thank goodness the outside setting is simply open space but still put a roof over your head. Good for rainy seasons and for those with dogs and want to bring them along. There's a lot of room inside also. The only complaint I have is the ventilation. I smell like I myself was in the oven after every meal here. Oh well. At least it's a delicious smell. Vegan cheese is life! I don't grow up eating a lot of cheese so its smell and aftertaste are a little too pungent for me. Vegan cheese has the cheesiness but none of that vomit-inducing smell. I love getting a ton of spinach, roasted garlic, mushrooms, basically all of the vegetables. Just pile them on for me please! If you choose to add extra sauce like pesto, be warned that it will come out on the slicky and oily side. The size of the pizza is more than enough. I always have to split it with a friend or bring the rest home afterwards. That's ok. I welcome all the leftover pizza in the middle of the night. Please do get the s'mores cookies! We eat here at least once a week-- we love pizza and I can't do heavy/greasy because I got my gallbladder out a couple of years ago. You can order online ahead of time and when you walk in, they'll fire your pizza. I would say that Blaze is the Chipotle of pizza places, when you walk in you go down an assembly line picking the toppings that you want. They put the pizza in the oven which takes about 5-7 minutes and then you can add sauces at the end if you'd like. (the pesto and bbq sauce are awesome!!!) They've been open a very short time but I love them already, great price for a good amount of food and amazing flavors! (About $8.50 for an 11-inch) You can order online BUT the pizza will not be put into the oven until you get there so that sucks... Also the s'more pies look delicious but I haven't decided to try them yet! Customer service has been nice, but I will say it's always so crowded! They always have so many people on staff!
