Blaze could definitely do better with their service but the oizza was 10 out 10. We entered and was greeted immediately but they seemed to be all over the place. Not sure if it was a shift change or what but everyone was kind of standing around. I know they have to make their money with the "eat shared" places but, they team couldnt take our order because they were getting so many tickets. They did manage to squeeze us in. I did the build your own with pesto sauce, vegan chorizo, few piece of grilled chicken, artichokes, red peppers, cheese, olives and jalapeños. BAKE WELL DONE PLEASE! They had music playing but you couldnt hear much of it because of the loud talking and the guys trying to figure next moves with getting those orders out. if you love a build your own food joint, then Blaze Pizza is a must try. This location is in Midtown in Plaza area where parking is pretty feasible! My food came out very fresh and tasted amazing! I 100% recommend topping your pizza with chili oil and hot honey if they still have that available (I'm not 100% sure if it is seasonal or not) unfortunately you're unable to additional cheese on top which is a bummer because I typically like to do that to mold my toppings in place. I know Other build your own pizza places I've been to are able to do that, however Blaze Pizza (or maybe it's just this location) is unable to. I wouldn't let that stray you away because like I said, my pizza still tasted great! The inside of the place seems fairly clean as you would expect for an establishment like this. Overall, the customer service was pretty solid. Nothing that wild me but also nothing that was super concerning. being that they are making orders quick on the spot. This restaurant has seen some guests and it's clear that a manager hasn't done a walkthrough to see the current state of the booths or overall ambiance in some time. The service at this location is always slow and mediocre - so don't expect too much. All that said- the food comes out hot and fresh. I could eat pizza every day if I could. Unfortunately, I don't always have time to wait for an entire pie to be prepared. That's where Blaze usually comes in. With an oven raring at over 500 degrees, fresh and custom-made pies only need to sit in the oven for a few minutes, which is, incidentally, a little over the time it takes to check out and pay. The menu suggests a few preset pie options, but I have far more fun building my own. What I love most about Blaze is that there's a staggering number of toppings that can be placed atop a personal pie, and no one has ever blinked an eye at one's choices. A man who ordered before me asked for three extra handfuls of mozzarella on his, and the server dutifully placed the cheesy heaps on his pie like it was an everyday occurrence. I've appreciated Blaze's continuing attempts to include all alternative diets by adding nondairy cheese and gluten-free crusts. I've been here a number of times as I live a few blocks away. Can't say I've ever had a great experience here. But all experiences were not bad until this past Sunday... I placed an order through the app at 6:15 for a 6:45 pickup. I arrived at 6:45 to a line of others waiting for their food to be done (there was a very little line for those having food prepared), so the restaurant really wasn't all that busy - just ridiculously inefficient. When I get to the front of the line by the oven, I wait almost 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledges me. So...I did what I always do in these situations... I just watched and observed how the place is operating. What I see is a guy at the oven removing order after order and placing them on the counter with nobody calling up customers to let them know their food is ready (some orders sat there for well over 10 minutes just getting cold). The buddy taking the pizzas from the oven wouldn't even acknowledge me. I see one worker at the register with her head down for an elongated period of time, only to poke her head up when a fellow co-worker who was not on the clock approached her to exchange pleasantries. How wonderful. Still, not acknowledged. I continue to see several other employees just standing around doing nothing, just waiting for somebody to give them something to do. So...as I mentioned earlier, I stood around like an idiot for 15 minutes just soaking in all the foolishness. Finally, the gal at the register - the one who was doing absolutely nothing for that period of time - finally acknowledged me. I said I was there to pick up an order and gave her my name. It's now 7:00 (order was supposed to be done by 6:45). There is no order because NOBODY MADE IT! . So those 2 or 3 lazy employees in the front who had been doing absolutely nothing this entire time couldn't be bothered to look at the online orders coming in and prepare the order?? Unbelievable. So....the gal from the register took it upon herself to give them a disgusted look and make the order herself. I wasn't sure how thankful I should have been because even though she did work hard to get my order made and get the orders out that were backing up, she did keep me waiting in the line like a fool for over 15 minutes while doing nothing. Ying-yang I guess? ‍ But don't worry, it gets better. My order consisted of a 1/2 pizza, a BYO salad, and a cheese bread. She puts the pizza in the oven. Wonderful. Progress. But I don't see a salad or cheese bread in sight. She tells me she is aware and they are getting prepared. And they did, long after the 1/2 pizza came out of the oven. It was stone cold by the time I got home. I finally left the restaurant at 7:25 with my order, as piece-wise as it was prepared. When I arrived home, I called the restaurant to ask for a manager. I was told there wasn't one and got hung up on. I would have asked in the store, but I was so pissed that I was afraid I'd make a scene. I felt a calmer phone call would be better. Coincidentally, I received an email from Blaze asking to complete a survey about my order. I completed it. Because it was negative, they asked if they could contact me for more information. Of course, I clicked yes. An automated response said I would receive a call the next business day. That never happened. If anyone at Blaze actually reads this, the operations of your restaurant needs some serious attention. The employees do not work well together. Most just spoke nasty to each other because the communication among them was so lacking. Of the 6 employees I counted working the entire line, at least 4 of them need some serious re-training. They need to know to actually check online orders coming in and execute them. They need to know that when they are on the clock, they are expected to actually work and not stand around. There's always something to be done - clean, replenish supplies, help get orders out, CHECK ONLINE ORDERS COMING IN(?!). The amount of inefficiency during a non-peak time was absurd. read more

I'm so happy they have vegan cheese! I had a build your own with mushrooms, roasted garlic, spinach and red onions. The woman making my pizza was super nice, it was my first time here. Fast service. I've only been here a hand full of times maybe about 6 every time I've ordered in store no problem, the SECOND you order on line they don't give a flying fuck. Every single time I've ordered a pizza online it's been almost inedible. And to get nothing but cheese and tomato?? Ok.... I complain, I get a free pizza from the staff nice right? No actually not nice I order my pizza nd I accident ordered one for pick up instead of delivery so I asked the worker to just put both orders together and he said that would be no problem. My order was at 9 I called at 8 to make sure that was okay. I called back at 9 JUST to make sure nothing was messed up. They said that the pizza wasn't even made yet and it would be ready soon. In the same breath he's saying that I get a notification that my order was picked up, just one pizza. One singular pizza of my 2. And I call and I'm out on hold for 10 fucking minutes. And then they leave the phone unhooked for the whole god damned shift so no calls can come through. I have tried calling over 100 times and I am just completely over the way that they deal with things. I'm ordering food so I don't have to cook at midnight when I get off and they've been bullshitting on the phone for over an hour. I literally had to get off of work at 11:00 pm just to have 0 answered calls 1/2 pizza and a headache. I have to go to a totally different restaurant to eat just despicable!!!!DO NOT ORDER ON LINEE UNLESS YOU WANT THE 'WHATEVER TF I WANT' SPECIAL BC ITS FS NOT GON A BE YOUR FOOD!!! My exp began great as we got some staff with a ton of personality. However, my girlfriend and I ordered two pizzas and one of the staff members lost her pizza. There was a girl with glasses that did everything she could to fix the issue. The guy with the afro refused to remake her pizza, and took no responsibility for losing it. Dined in for lunch w some friends recently! I usually order via the mobile app and take it to go. I preferred ordering and dining inside! The pizza tastes even better fresh out of the oven. I always order the hi rise crust pizza with vegan cheese, spicy chicken, spicy red sauce, jalapeños, and spicy vegan chorizo and it hits the spot every single time. You get the absolute bang for your buck as it also come out to only about $12. Most of the time, it feels like so much food that I always have two slices leftover to eat the next day. I definitely recommend getting the hi rise crust to everyone- it's $2 extra but totally worth it. The ingredients always seem fresh and I really appreciate the non dairy options since most pizza places don't have vegan cheese, or if they do, it's a hefty extra cost. I am writing this review at 10:36PM (When I arrived at 10:25PM) hoping to place an order, but being told that the store is no longer taking orders. Yet, I watch individuals pick up orders from the other side of the store. I ordinarily would not leave a review, but in this case I am bc there were individuals who seemed to want to take my order, but obviously being instructed not to by their stores leadership. That is disgusting to witness in itself. I work in leadership in the service industry and would never turn away a guest without at least offering something to compensate for an early closing. It is evident by the response from staff that this is a common pattern. As a resident of the west midtown community, this is egregious service. I don't blame the workers, I blame the leadership bc what are we teaching these younger workers about compassionate service? I appreciate the front staff workers for at least APPEARING to what to take my order, but obviously closing leadership needs the training. Maybe the online orders should have been turned off at 10PM instead of individuals who drove to the store expecting to be serviced before closing. read more

The guy cooking the pizzas during the Night Shift was also taking his braids down. When I addresses the lady assisting me she asked them to stop. This is extremely unsanitary. He wasn't wearing gloves and of course it's hair so it gets in the air and honestly it's just disgusting. I had dinner here with my sister last night. She is an enormous fan of the spot. It is very popular and the lines were long but it was worth it. The pizza is amazing. It's basically the pizza form of Subway where you can build your own pizza and put on it what you like as you move down the line. It's pretty casual and parking is ample in the private lot. Was first person in line when i arrived. Waited 10 minutes before someone even greeted me. 6 workers standing around tapping their finger starring back at me. As the line grew the workers proceeded to making online orders instead of servicing the customers in line. After 20 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave. I wish I could give 1 star. Every Blaze Pizza I see while traveling I stop and have never had this horrible of customer service. This is my second time stopping here and the first time, they didn't have many ingredients. The restaurant itself was clean and the staff very helpful. I had a build your own pizza half cheese half pepperoni and sausage with basil, fresh garlic, sea salt, and oregano. But then I realized that I needed to speak to someone about LIGHTLY baking the pizza (can not stand burnt pizza, the look of it or taste) which I stressed profusely! I tell the worker that I asked for lightly baked to which he reponds that it was. I ask him "Um, how are there burnt pieces/edges and you lightly baked (which means to take it out before it is completed cooked)?" He offers no rebake and goes about his business. Okay, strike one! Then the meal comes with a 20 oz pop. I ask for the fountain cup and he hands me a 16oz. cup. I said the website says it comes with. 20 oz. This man tries to tell me that the cup IS a 20 oz. to which I said clearly it is NOT so give me the bottle and of course all of the pop couldn't fit into the cup because it WASN'T a 20 oz. cup idiot! Strike 2! Now, the taste.....not good. The pizza had too much sauce for a thin crust pizza; was oozing all over the place. The pizza had no distintive taste, just sauce which wasn't that good (the so called spicy sauce) and I see why you can add sea salt as a topping because it needed it! My favorite pizza chain. If you've been to a blaze before at a different location, I don't know why you're reading this as it's going to be the same as the others. Blaze Pizza is priced at a higher tier than your typical Papa John's or Dominoes, but I'd say it's worth it if you're feeling fancy. While I wouldn't get Blaze's to cater an event for pizza, it's more of a fast-casual/to-go place to eat a great personal pizza for yourself. The restaurant has a great ambiance and the staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful. The best deal on the menu in my opinion is the Build-Your-Own personal pizza for ~9 dollars at this location. They let you put ANYTHING you want on it for the same price, besides the upcharges for different types of crust and a few other items. Want to have 6 different types of meat? You got it. Want to have two different sauces, 4 meats, and 6 vegetables on your pizza? You got it. The world is your oyster and you can do whatever you want so that everyone can have their favorite pizza. Blaze's greatest strength is the quality of their ingredients. They make everything right in front of you, it's fast and fresh.
