Customer service good. My food was HORRIBLE! And that little meal was like $16/$17 Whoever prepared my burger, put too much ketchup and mustard, so it drowned the burger and was too soggy to really enjoy it. I do appreciate the portion sizes, but I do believe they need to be more cognitive of how much condiments they're putting on the burger. That definitely makes or breaks a burger! And as expensive as they are, these burgers should be prepared correctly. This was my first and last time I will ever order from these morons. I ordered the 2 cheese burgers for $14.95, a large order of fries and a chocolate shake. The cheeseburgers were $15.00 the large order of fries were $11.00 more, and the shake was about $10.00 more. I added a $3.00 tip for the driver, plus tax should have been $40.00 and change. Instead I was charged $14.00 for EACH sandwich plus a "service fee" (?) of $7.35 which serves no damn purpose at all! So, instead of $40.00 it was almost $60.00. Two sandwiches of mediocre quality for $28.00 stinkin' dollars, and the french fries were ice cold on top of everything else. This restaurant chain deserves to go out of business. I am calling every TV station in town tomorrow to expose this 'restaurant' for the completely fraudulent operation that it apparently is. read more

I should've checked Yelp first. I haven't been to 5 Guys in a while I honestly frequent other burger places. Yet, I was craving here and stopped in.. The atmosphere was off and the burger was ready within 2 minutes max. Shocking which caused me to ask "if burgers were pre-made?" I just finished eating here, and the hamburger tasted like lighter fluid. I mentioned it to the manager and went to throw away half of the hamburger and all of the french fries. When I came back in, they were all laughing. I'm not sure what the joke is; maybe something was in the food, but I will leave one-star reviews everywhere I can maybe that will be funny. And as I said in my Google review, I know the owners. I met them when they first set up the place. They would be appalled to see a manager lead this laugh-off when a customer was upset, and they would also be shocked to know that you all had hamburger patties already on the grill. Not freshly made. My order was ready in seconds! If I wanted a charcoal burger that tasted like lighter fluid, I would have gone to the clown burger joint and paid 1/4 of what I paid here. This was THE WORST service I've ever had anywhere! I preordered my food and when i showed up the "MANAGER" at the register didn't ask me my name or anything, just told me to wait at the end of the counter where everyone else was waiting for a pick up. You could tell they were my thing to keep up with the orders so it was confusing when you saw the manager just standing there, talking shit about the workers. When i asked a worker for my order, they claimed it was "in the works" after 30 mins of waiting for a PRE ORDERD meal, i went back up to the manager to explain how I've been waiting and how i preordered my food. I'd heard people talking about this place for forever before I actually went. I'm not much of a fast food eater, and this place severely borders on such a case. I also don't eat many burgers per year, and that's pretty much all they have here. So it was with a great amount of skepticism that I came on in. Five Guys has a burger that puts most other burgers I've had to shame. Not only do they have half a billion toppings (from grilled mushrooms to BBQ sauce) that can all be added for free, but the patties are some of the best I've ever had. They have some kind of crunch that's unlike any other I've had before. The mini-burger here is about the size of your regular fast food burger, while the normal size is double-pattied, and enough of a meal all by itself. The cajun fries are ridiculously good, and a 'small' serving is more than you need for two people. They serve the fries in a paper carton and heap them overflowing into the bag. One burger and a split fries will put a hurting on you like no other, but a good hurting, one of fullness and happy bellies. The service has always been quick and friendly, even willing to come track you down if you miss them calling your number. Best tasting fast-food you can get, and at this location, you almost feel like its not fast food. read more

I didn't make it past the front door. 9:12 and the employees had locked the door and were cleaning meticulously around two guests still eating inside. None of the employees made eye contact or acknowledge even though we were standing by the door. Your hours say until 10 pm. I would understand if the door was locked at 9:45, even 9:30 but really?? 9:12??? We just wanted to place a take-out order and we probably would've been gone before the last two diners. Which, by the way, cleaning 2 inches from people dining BEFORE closing hours is rude, passive-aggressive, and a health code violation. The poor diners were shielding their burgers from broom dust. It honestly makes sense that the ratings are low due to the bad attitude of the employees. At this point, you're just losing money, losing customers, and creating a bad name for yourself. People should take pride in their customer service, whether it's burgers or steak. Most of the employees looked really young and were more interested in their phones and serving dirty looks than food. Huge, huge shout out to the staff at Five Guys. Visited this location with my bff and her son to grab some burgers and fries. They'd stacked the chairs and pushed the tables together to ensure no one planted roots during the period of social distancing. They'd also marked the 6 feet marks for people to use to place their orders and pick them up. The staff was also very pleasant and welcoming during these challenging times. I'm picky with my burgers, so maybe I'm a little tough on this place. But the service certainly knocked my rating down a star. Being tersely greeted by the cashier, then interrupted as I was ordering, was immediately off-putting. But the cook who handed me my food was quite gracious. I suppose they do what they set out to do well, I'm just not a huge fan of their style. Their burgers are more deli or "diner" burgers, flat and greasy, than I like. The toughest part is the quality of ingredients--the cheese is the flat square sandwich style, and the bread is cheap and adds nothing to the burger. Hamburgers are cooked medium well (as they should be!) and their use of fresh potatoes for the fries really shows in their taste. Another advantage here is their huge variety of free toppings for burgers. Yes, it is a little more expensive than their fast-food competitors, but you are paying more for better quality. The burger wars have come and Atlanta is the frontline. Five Guys and Fatburger gaze steely at each other across a Maginot line of ground beef and condiments. Fudruckers struggles to stay relevant in the 'burbs while the Vortex, stalwart local, watches from its intown sideline. At this point, Five Guys seems to be winning. More Five Guys locations have opened than Fatburger, the surge allowing it to gain a foothold with us locals. The rations? Marginally better than Fatburger, but still nowhere near The Vortex (or The Earl for that matter.) The free peanuts are a nice touch, but what to do with the shells? Throw them on the floor? I seem to be the only doing that which makes me look like a jackass. Loose shells in a war like this can be a dangerous thing. The 4-person serving of fries should be eaten on the spot, lest they steam and grow soggy in the bag. Salt them first though. It'll be a long hard slog through the bag if you fail to season them properly. The burgers are fresh, but forget about asking for them rare or medium rare. They refuse to have such blood on their hands. But the war is not over. Fatburger's menu is larger, wider scale AND has onion rings. "Give me some more" The first time I went to Five Guys, I was actually on a lifestyle change (ie a diet), and so I could only eat a 1/2 a burger and about 7 fries:) 2 weeks later, I damned that diet and got my grub on at Five Guys. I didnt realize this place was a regional/national chain, the quality, taste and service screams local hamburger spot... Five guys is simply amazing. They do hand cut friench fries that are cooked in sometype of "healthy" oil. Everything is cooked to order, so you arent eating a hamburger thats been sitting under a cooling lamp. The best thing about Five Guys, clearly the burgers. Made to order, fresh right off the grill (my mouth is literally watering right now). The place still maintains its local flavor with newspaper clippings about the rise/start of the Five Guys franchise. For some reason, I really like when restaurants do this..I think in middle school terms they'd call that a "dork"...whatever. Are these the best hamburgers that I have ever had?
