Only here for lunch so did not try the beer but everything else was top notch. Excellent service from the bartender. The wagyu burger was excellent and came with a mound of handcut fries. Also an excellent Lemonade

What a great place. Not just great food, but owned by the black bear brewery folks. Oysters, bbq, duck fat Poutine, I can go on. Maizie the bartender was fantastic. I will be back. And Wednesday is trivia night! Bonus!

The Nashville chicken sandwich was great, the burger was so juicy and delicious, and the pizza was very good. Fries were amazing, cooked in duck fat and so crispy on the outside. Absolutely perfectly cooked all around. Service was quick and spot on. I would definitely recommend this place for its burgers, sandwiches, and pizza.

    Blueberry mules!

We were lucky enough to snag a creek side table post-hike. We went a bit after 11AM (when they open) so we had no problem getting a spot. The staff were kind and helpful in answering our questions and made sure dietary restrictions were accounted for. My sister-in-law and I enjoyed blueberry mules (one alcoholic, one virgin), my sister and brother-in-law enjoyed flights, and my partner tried a few of the sours. We ordered poutine for the group, which was a hit. Many of us ordered pizzas (I loved "the pitmaster") and others enjoyed sandwiches, burgers, and steak and fries. When I'm in Blue Hill again someday, I'd gladly come back. Parking is typical Blue Hill parking. We grabbed a street spot, but there is a parking lot nearby, too.

We've been here 5 times between last summer and this summer and every meal has been delicious. The only item we ever had that was not great was a Buffalo chicken pizza that is no longer on the menu. That had weird whole chicken wings on it and so much Buffalo and ranch sauce on top it was inedible- and I love sauce! Anyway, this year we have had the hot honey pepperoni pizza ($20) and large duck fat fries ($9) twice along with various beers and it's a perfect, if not nutritional, meal for two.

Fried Chicken Sandwich at Blaze Blue Hill

Today we were out for a ride and decided to stop for lunch. I have been to the restaurant in Bangor and always enjoyed the food. This restaurant is nothing like that Blaze. First we waited over 45 minutes for our appetizers. My fiancé ordered the fried chicken sandwich. I cannot even imagine what chef would send out a burned dry piece of chicken and expect somebody to actually eat it. The $35.00 lobster roll was definitely subpar as well. The roll was cold instead of toasted and the only word I can use to describe the lobster was mushy. The garden salad came as a Caesar salad as well. The entire meal was just an epic failure. We realized this was not the responsibility of the waitress but we showed her the chicken and she asked if we wanted it to be removed from the bill. Not, I'll take care of it, but "do you want it removed". When we got the bill the sandwich was included. We were so very disappointed with this meal and we will certainly never be back.

My husband and I were referred to Blaze Brewing and we are so glad we went! Food was great and the deck to sit on offered a great view. The staff was so nice too! The waygu burger was probably one of the better burgers we've ever had. The fries were deep fried in duck fat and oh boy did they ever taste so good! I tried a fruited sour beer and it was so good, tasted like blueberry pie! Highly recommend stopping by here if you are on your way through.

No idea why this place only has 3.5 stars, the food was great! - One of the only places open on 4th of July - Diverse menu - Food/drink specials - Nice outdoor seating area - And the food was delicious! Definitely make this one of your stops when you're in town

Was just there during the offseason for dinner....just know this place is super poppin during the summer months. Can't believe its a chain with such distinct and fresh decour, but its pleasing to the eye, especially with the central fire place and live music ambiance. Food was so good I felt guilty! Love the emphasis on duck fat and duck dishes. Will be back to try the pizza!

    Wood fired lobster.

Excellent wood fired lobster. Also, the pizza was very good. Fin, the waiter, was awesome. He told us so much about harvesting lobster in Maine.

Excellent find! What a fantastic pizza!…read more We were staying at the fancy tent place up the road and were pretty hungry and fancied a beer or two. Whip out the trusty Yelp app and we are on our way to this wonderful little gem! I have found this app to be a great tool for finding local gems like this. We arrive and it's a bit under construction from the looks of it. This is a family business in the truest sense. They do all of the work themselves, at least when I was here. He is adding on to the place and creating more seating. He manned the oven and she waited on the tables and I feel like there were some of their children working in the back as well. There are a few other families there with us. One other from our campsite that I noticed when were arriving. I love the fact that the stones for the oven came from the ground right out front of the place while they were digging it up to build the patio. How cool is that?!?!? He told me all about it when I asked if he had built it himself. He hired a mason locally he said. Ok. Pizza hits the table. Wow. I could list 42 adjectives describing how good it was, but you just need to go see for yourself!! Perfect crust though!! Perfect! Do that as fast as you can! Come here by plane, train, auto, snowmobile, tank. Whatever. I even heated up the leftovers on a stone by the fire at the tent. Stupid good leftover too!!! Thank you to the Stones for a great meal and wonderful hospitality!! '26 - 25

The inside was cozy and rustic with a clear fisherman's vibe. My wife and I ate here for our 15th wedding anniversary while on vacation in Acadia. We started with the fisherman's chowder, which is probably the best chowder I've ever had. It wasn't too salty (which is almost unheard of) and came with tons of lobster and other seafood. We both devoured it. The only problem was trying to make sure that you didn't burn your mouth because it was so good you didn't want to wait to eat it. I got the tuna and green bean casserole while my wife got the pasta bolognese. Both were good, but the tuna really stood out. It was seared, sushi-grade, blackened tuna over chopped green beans that weren't in any way over-cooked with a small pea-shoot salad. The name didn't do the dish any justice. We also had a few decent local beers in cans, which both paired well and were yummy.

We walked over from the main strip of downtown and loved the vibe as soon as we arrived. Walking down the stairs to get to the brewery versus the glass blowing shop was so cute. With apples on the ground from the apple trees, it couldn't be more "Maine". When walking in, you order at the bar for both food and drink and then there is a booth/trailer out back where the food comes out. The inside is set up for open mic night and then outside they have a full stage where they host live music. There is plenty of seating outside at the picnic tables as well. We ordered a couple beers, the Margherita pizza, the potato chips, and the Carrot Top salad. I cannot tell you howwwwwwwww amazing the salad was!! I have never had a salad like this and I ate every last bite. The roasted carrots were so good, combined with the crispy onions and the dressing; it was heaven. The chips were incredible and the dip that comes with it just elevates it that much more. I believe it was a pickle dip of some sort? I can't remember specifically, just that I needed a vat of it. Then the pizza?! We couldn't finish it but man did we want to! Add all this tasty food to a beautiful backdrop and we were the happiest little foodies in Maine. Hands down best stop in Ellsworth!

I had the burger special which was fucking fantastic! I was getting pretty tired of seafood at this point and it was the most refreshing change of pace. Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat.
