Improved! After several visits in 2014 to early 2016, decided the food just wasn't up to snuff. I went again this past week recently and I was surprised! The cook during my former visits was no longer there and Francisco (who had been there years ago apparently) has returned. The food was outstanding! If offered, try the chicken special with roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and melted Gouda. Pounded thin, it's easy to over cook it, but it was juicy, tender, and just right. The French onion soup has likewise drastically improved, and the bacon-wrapped poppers were fantastic. Even the mozzarella sticks with aioli were great. Service was attentive and friendly as usual, drinks were served right up. Atmosphere is still sports-oriented TVs in each corner of the hospital green dining room so while the decor could improve just a little, definitely worth a visit. I sincerely hope Francisco sticks around, Blarney Station is back on my dining out list. read more

We went to the Blarney Station on a tuesday evening. It was only about half full but the service was very slow. We had to wait for over a half hour for our food to come out. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing was bad just not very good. I ordered a crab cake salad and the crab cake was greasy and not fresh. The salad was ok. There are much better choices in the Warwick, NY area for a quick eat. read more

First visit. The fish not chips was a nice size serving of haddock. BBQ pork was tender and tasty, and a nice size.

I love the laid back outdoor seating, it's dog friendly too! Unfortunately our waiter was not educated on his menu. He wasn't 21 so he hadn't tasted any of the beers. He wasn't sure what came on the sandwhich, so he told me incorrectly. After taking our order he returned to ask how my fiancee wanted the steak on his sandwhich cooked. "Rare" he said. When the sandwhich came out his meat didn't even have a trace a pink. Both our sandwiches were very dry. Mine tasted a lot better w some mayo but my fiancee couldn't be saved. We ate it all because we were so hungry but we won't be spending our money here again. read more

Ended up at this place from a recommendation from the Christmas tree farm my family and 4 other families were visiting. We were hungry, but scared no one would accommodate such a large party with no notice. They were more then happy to seat us, we rearranged tables, and made us fit. No complaints! The waitress was amazing! She made the kids happy, which made the adults happy. We let it go when the waitress addressed myself and my boyfriend as "ladies" before she even got to the table. Sure, he has his hair in a ponytail, but did the beard throw her off? But whatever, she's young and apparently painfully ignorant, maybe she just won't go very far in life. We let it go when the food was subpar because we were too hungry by then. Boyfriend just said his food was unappetizing, but I'm sure that's because he was still understandably annoyed. My food (Shepherd's Pie) tasted like doctored-up Dinty Moore, and that's being kind. But now that I'm up for the second night in a row with my stomach churning and my body still spewing identifiable remnants of the Shepherd's Pie, I needed to say something. Your food is bad and you should feel bad, at least half as bad as my innards have felt for the past two days. I didn't even want to tip as much as I did, but we had a hard time getting the girl's attention for the check and I didn't feel like waiting around anymore. I've had TV Dinners better than the food this place serves. You can tell the food comes frozen and they just reheat it in a deep fryer. I ordered a Guinness and they served it to me in a bottle. An Irish pub serving Guinness in a bottle? Michael Collins is rolling over in his grave. Skip this place and go to Halligan's or Kelly Jean's in Goshen. Better food and better service. read more

Ive been there before a couple years back and I really enjoyed it (i remembered the pine island kielbasa and the lamb burger sliders) , so after a day of Apple picking I went there again and I must say I was disappointed . First of all we were sat and after 10 minutes I had to get up and ask for a menu, because it was like we were invisible, (strike one). Though the drinks were excellent the food I found to be lackluster. My wife got the fish and chips, which was OK , my daughter had the chicken fingers and fries (both prefab hard to screw up) , my Shepherd pie wasn't good at all. the potatoes had a funny slightly moldy taste and the "stew" was sauteed ground beef with a frozen peas and carrots tossed in which was hard to find because the dish was 90% mashed potato. (strike 2) . Ive had way better shepherd pie in Manhattan. Strike 3 was my son dropped the utensils on the floor and I gave it to a staff member and they never brought back a new set (common sense no?) I had to ask for another set. If you fancy a quick pint, this is a good bar. But for food or good service, id try one of the other eateries close by read more

My friend and I visited The Blarney Station on a recommendation from a local resident in Warwick, NY. We visited on a Friday afternoon around 1:30. There was a family of about 9 people and a couple at one or two other tables and no one was at the bar. Considering that the restaurant wasn't bustling, it took quite a long time for the waitress to take our order. We both ordered the french onion soup and my friend ordered a chicken caesar salad and I tried the mini mahi with a crab stuffing on top. The salad looked very uninviting but at least it was edible. Aside from the crab stuffing, the fish dish was terrible. The fish was not fresh and had a slimy texture. It was very small, even for a lunch size meal but that wasn't an issue as I could not eat it anyway. The waitress was busy talking to the family in the restaurant, it seemed like she was friends with them. I don't mind that but our waitress ignored us and didn't check to see how the meals were. It was only until she brought the check to us that I was able to let her know that the fish was wretched. Not to sound picky but the broccoli was supposed to be steamed. It was barely steamed and was way too hard. I didn't mention the broccoli but I did let the waitress know about the fish. She gave bland, "sorry" and walked away. The chef appeared and proceeded to describe the fish to me. I explained that it was not edible. With a stern look he offered to make another dish but I explained that we ran out of time. He gave a bland, "sorry" and walked away. They didn't even offer to remove the bad fish dish from the check. We paid the bill anyway and walked out the door. I am not hard to please but if I go out for a meal I would expect to be able to eat it. Bad meals happen, however, the way it was handled by the staff was extremely unprofessional. read more

Well where do I begin ,this place has some of the worst food I have ever tasted,Gordon Ramsey would say they have no customers because the food is S***, I was hopeful that being an Irish pub it would have "proper"fish and chips,it was frozen! And the $2.00 Irish curry sauce was packet sauce ,I know this cause I'm British ,the CHIPS were fries NOT what was stated on the menu and when I asked about the chips she said oh you were expecting potato chips...umm NO and WHY does the so called Irish owner not explain the difference to you!, the fish supposedly in beer batter was NOT fluffy or cooked fresh as I coming from the land of fish and chips would know this,I asked "was the fish cooked fresh and was the fish caught today?,umm she said I don't know what they do back there!!!but knew to say the curry sauce was homemade,homemade from frozen and a packet perhaps,she said oh the owner stepped out, I said maybe he is out buying s*** food and erm no he's at the bar,what a disgrace! Local people want GOOD food not crap,so lazy ! We have been here numerous times for lunch so it's time to YELP it. It's a pub, not a classy restaurant so don't expect too much ambience. We usually sit right at the bar and eat. John & his wife are always full of great conversation. The menu is awesome. I wish I could work my way from one end to the other. We have never been disappointed! The food is great. Wings, burgers, Shephards pie, soups, corn beef....ALL OF IT!!! I have yet to have had something that is even questionalbly not delicious. Always a pretty good cast of characters there too. Pricing is very fair. Honestly one of our favorite destinations in Warwick. My only gripe is that I wish John had a few more beers on tap. Especially with Pine Island brewery right down the road. read more

Ordered take away. I love their fish n' chips. Nice and crispy (even after the ride home), batter was not too thick, and no excess oil. Also had the Jameson BBQ wings. Went in for our daughters graduation dinner and we're hopeful it would be great. I guess we should have known better since we were the only table around 5 pm. The place is not even clean very dusty, and for a Irish place it looks like an episode out of hoarders. So we go ahead order fish and chips and curry sauce, since we're in an "Irish" restaurant. Food comes out and it's Frozen French fries powdered curry sauce and the fish. I'm sure it was frozen. Home made beer bather fish I don't think so. Curry sauce looked and tasted powdered or from a jar. Waitress said it was fresh homemade. Yet when we asked about the fish being fresh or frozen her response was " I don't know I don't usually check". Makes you wonder if you don't know about the fish how are you certain the sauce is fresh. The food was so bad I could not even eat it. We ask for the bill and express our disappointment to the waitress who comes back after scanning the card saying she's tried looking for the owner but couldn't find him. Now if the place was jammed back and busy I could understand but the place was dead. No tables being served, 3 or 4 waitress doing nothing. One outside chatting away. How this place gets 5 stars is just beyond me. The food was disgusting and before i forget we also got mash potatoes and they were just as awful too. Do yourself a favor don't come here. read more

A small group of us visited this pub during Apple Fest last year. The service was slow, the food was average but we didn't really mind the wait because of the shear number of people in the area that day. About a week later we went apple picking with the family and decided to head there for lunch. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. There were about 12 of us in the group, including 3 children under the age of 5. We asked for the kids food to come out as soon as possible. It did not. It took about 2 hours for our food to be served - and it wasn't anything crazy - burgers, chicken fingers and sandwiches for the most part. The waitresses were rude and I would dare to say discriminated against us because we are hispanic. This was definitely the last time we will ever visit this place again. I am sure there are other better places to eat right in the neighborhood. Very disappointing!!! read more

My husband and I were up in Warwick for the holiday weekend and were looking to find a low key spot for a quick bite and possibly a brew. We came across the Blarney Station and came right in ! We sat at the bar and we were greeted immediately. The bartenders there were so personable and attentive. My husband ended up getting the Cajun Wings and I had the Shepherds pie , boy was it delightful! We were also informed that they play live music on some weekends! The blarney station in Warwick has recently employed a new head chef that is working magic in the kitchen. His specials are incredibly delicious and creative, many with an Irish spin to them. If you have had a bad dining experience in the past at the blarney station, believe me when I tell you the menu has been completely revamped and upgraded. I recently had the shrimp Mac and cheese appetizer and it was one of the best tasting dishes I've had in over a year. The bartenders and servers are also very funny and friendly. This restaurant has done a complete 180 and it is now one of the culinary gems of Warwick read more

I have visited the Blarney Station about 4-5 times now but my latest visit was the most interesting a few weeks ago. I came in with my husband and a friend on a Friday and it wasn't especially busy. We all ordered our drinks and they got to us fine. But the waiting staff was very peculiar. Walking into the restaurant I saw a girl yelling at what seemed to be her boyfriend, and that turned out to be our waitress; the girl screaming outside the bar. However, I will say she kept a cool demeanor at the table it was easily noticeable seeing (and hearing) it outside. Just a tip, probably shouldn't do that at your job, but besides that good job. I then gave my order to the waitress but I had a question about the Lamb Slyders, Me and my table were sitting close to the kitchen so we could hear her go back there and ask the question, and we heard the chef call it a stupid question and say that the waitress was stupid for asking it. So was the waitress stupid or am I stupid? Because I thought the customer was always right. We finally got our food and everything came out good, the worst thing being my husbands burger being cooked a little bit too long, but not a huge deal so the actual food wasn't that bad. I was just seriously not impressed with the waiting staff. They both were seen at some point yelling at someone and seemed on edge or anxious the time that I was there. There was a really nice boy working there that night that was very friendly and still came over to clear glasses and check how we were doing, even after him and the waitress were paid and tipped. Also the bartenders seemed very social and amicable. I say the bar and busing had to pull for the waiting and kitchens weight that night. I wouldn't say its a bad place to eat , you just may have an interesting experience with your service, especially with that "genius chef" back there. Obviously after wanting to make sure that my food came out right and then being called stupid for doing so, I would not come back unless there was a change in some of the roles. read more
