DO NOT COME HERE!! I brought a coat in to remove some spots. I was quoted $12 for the cleaning. I picked up my jacket and it was still filthy! Didn't even look like anyone had cleaned it. Then Lucy told me it was actually $25 for the cleaning! I tried resolving the dispute with several people at the store, including the owner. They didn't offer to redo it, they didn't offer to honor the initial quote, they refused to do anything! I told them I'd pay the $12 and call it even, but no. So I left with my jacket that they never cleaned, and they had the gall to call the police! I ended up coming back to pay for the jacket but I am never coming here ever again!! We took our curtains to be cleaned, and the owner shrunk them. No response for months, then after he responded, he tried to unshrink them, then he just disappeared like a fart in the wind. Do not use this cleaner, unless you never want to see your stuff again. He is a thief. read more

Horrible experience using Blanco cleaners. My husband brought in my brand new white duvet cover from Pottery Barn that he accidentally got a bloody nose on the very first night we put it on our bed. He asked the people at Blanco's to get the blood stains out which they did get out but they did not dry clean our duvet cover they washed it what looks like 1 million times (something I could have done at home and was trying to avoid the "washed" look because it was brand new!) because now my duvet cover is completely ruined and I'll have to go get a new one from pottery barn which is not cheap and this guy charged me $60 for this botched dry clean job. when I called to complain that this is not the normal experience I have when getting something dry cleaned (it came rolled up in a huge ball in a bag- no starch, not ironed, not hung) the manager was completely unprofessional and instead of kindly asking me to bring it back in so he can see what the problem is he gave me a rude ultimatum that I could take a picture of it, pay to get it cleaned elsewhere, and then come back and show me that someone else did it better and then he would pay me TRIPLE what I paid him (which was $60 for a horrible mess of a "dry clean"). He continued to tell me i'm crazy for being upset about him ruining my expensive duvet. I have this all recorded. Then HE HANGS UP ON ME. A paying customer! So after all this I didn't want to think about it for a couple days and shoved it back in a ball into my closet and then today I decided to examine it and see how much damage was done only to find SOMEONES TOP ROLLED UP IN MY DUVET COVER!!!!! RAHLF I have your Talbots Sweater Tank Top that you dropped off on Wednesday the 11th! literally the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in the history of being a consumer in this type of industry. I called back today to demand a refund in exchange for returning the top they left rolled in my duvet (obviously out of a huge washing machine which ruins clothes that are dry clean only) and the manager said "oh no now you're blackmailing me?" and HANGS UP ON ME AGAIN!! I honestly cannot believe the level of unprofessional interactions i've had with this horrible manager. I hope this place goes out of business, I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to get anything cleaned here. The level of negligence that this business uses needs to be evaluated. I had a hole in my pants that I had them fix. The day I was supposed to pick them up they apologized and said it wasn't ready yet. Once it was done, they did a terrible job and I was way over charged. I tried to get reimbursed some of my money but they wouldn't do it and the manager / owner never called me back. Do not go here. The saying,"you get what you pay for," is applicable here. I've taken my dress shirts here and some dry cleaning items. Too often I get clothes back with broken button and the clothes are not pressed very well. The final issue came last week on April 13 when I picked up my suit that I had dry cleaned. Two days later, when I was getting ready for my daughter's wedding, I noticed the suit was poorly pressed (see pictures!) and the button on the front of the suit coat was broken in half. Also I noticed one of the buttons on the sleeve was broken as well. You can probably imagine my panic? I drove over to Baird's to see if they might be of assistance. No help. They pointed out to me their policy that states they are not responsible for broken buttons. As far as the wrinkled suit coat, they suggested that I use a warm iron on the wrinkles. I asked them to call the owner and that I wanted to complain. So the woman called owner. But owner not interested in speaking with me. So, what did I do? I drove to Walmart and bought a button that matched and I sewed it on. I also used my hard iron to remove the wrinkles on suit coat. Baird's Drive Inn Cleaners is cheap. And you get what you pay for. Ugh. My recommendation is: Don't go to Baird's. The service sucks and they don't do a very good job. You definitely will regret it. Plus the owner is rude. I don't have time for rudeness. I had such an atrocious experience with Baird's, namely the owner, Dennis, that if I could give zero stars I would. I am definitely not one to leave a negative review unless I feel VERY strongly that one is warranted. (I don't remember the last time I left one this negative, if ever.) I had my husband's suit jacket cleaned at Baird's two weeks ago and picked it up a few days later, the night before my sister's wedding. When my husband took the jacket out of the drycleaner's plastic we saw it had new and VERY noticeable, irreparable damage on much of the right side of it. I was shocked. We had to buy a brand new suit last minute for the wedding. I called Baird's that night (Friday 9/22/17) and the woman who was working that night (I know her name but am keeping it confidential for her sake) said she had to make a call to ask her boss what to do and then told me to bring in the damaged jacket and the receipt for the new jacket and they would cover the cost of the new jacket. I went in today and explained the situation to employee at the front (different from the woman who was working when I picked up the jacket initially) and this employee was also very polite. She said Dennis was out on a delivery but she called him to see when he would be back/briefly explain to him my reason for visiting, and then she told me he would be back soon as she could not handle this type of financial matter. I understood and waited for Dennis. When he came in I politely greeted him and the first thing he said to me with some seeming hostility was, "What are you here for?" I explained the situation to him and he accused me of never having been in prior to this cleaning (I had been in there to have items cleaned twice before, one of which Dennis confirmed after checking my account on his computer but the other he couldn't because I distinctly remember one of his employees didn't put me in the system the first time.) Dennis said he never received any phone call from his other employee about the suit jacket damage and that the only way he could handle the situation was to send the suit jacket to Maryland so the "International Fabricare Institute" could look at it under a microscope and determine whether he was responsible for the damage, which he specifically said was 99.9% unlikely so I'd likely eat the $45 cost of sending it to Maryland. I spent over an hour there wasting my time. My husband researched the "institute" Dennis spoke of and we discovered there are numerous law suits against it for scamming people. I told the owner on my way out that his way of addressing this issue--his tone, accusing me of never having been in the store before, refusing to accept the possibility that "his business" had more than a .01% chance of being responsible for damage to my husband's suit coat that had zero noticeable damage before I took it into Dennis' establishment--all of it--was incredibly condescending and terrible in terms of customer service. It was nuts. I understand he's got to protect himself and that sounds reasonable but he was totally unprofessional, accusatory and bizarre. The way he spoke felt super manipulative...he was rigidly unapologetic as though I was being dishonest and there was something wrong with me for coming into his store and asking for reparations. He also "gaslighted" me by saying the first thing he said to me when I walked in was an apology for my inconvenience, which is absolutely not true. He never said anything like that the whole time. I hate writing bad reviews but after my experience with Dennis and looking online (here and on the Yellow Pages site) at what others have said about Baird's...I don't feel crazy, ha ha! I dropped off 5 men's shirts at noon on a Thursday asking for a next day/rush order. I was told the shirts would be available at 6pm the following day. At 6pm Friday evening the shirts had not been touched. I was asked to park and wait. 40 mins later they called my cell and asked me to pull around. Instead of apologies, I was charged extra and was told "we had to push off work from our customers to take care of you". I WAS their customer. When I expressed my discontent the owner replied "well, you win some, you lose some". Unbelievable. I used this dry cleaner prior to the Blanco family purchasing it and was never treated in such an unprofessional manner nor needed to wait on a date/time promised. My family and I will find a new cleaner who meets their stated timelines and appreciates their customers. read more

My husband went here to get his work clothes dry cleaned because he'd previously used them and had a great experience at a good price. When we need to have more done there was no question where we'd go. Biggest mistake. They completely rob you. I could have went out and bought my husband new clothing and spent less. When my husband took his clothes in he let us know it would be $50-$60 dollars for everything after we got home and started doing the math my husband figured it would be closer to $90 so I called the next morning to cancel. I was I informed that I could, but would have to pay a processing fee of an amount close to what it would to clean though he wouldn't give me a price. Well we picked up laundry today and our total was $160. This did include a rush fee that I was told would be $5 that turned into $10 and another $5 fee because we used our debit card. They should be put out if business for shitty business practices. We will never be returning and I'll be sure to let everyone know that they shouldn't either. DO NOT use Baird's dry cleaning to have your valuable linens and irreplaceable clothes cleaned. They don't stand behind their work and you are taking a HUGE RISK if they damage your clothes after you drop them off. I took in my sons nearly new gray suit last Wednesday. It didn't really need to be cleaned, but just pressed for prom on Saturday. Let me repeat that...it DID NOT have any spots or markings on it when I took it in. We pulled it out of the dry cleaning bag on Saturday night, right before he had to walk out the door to pick up his date. It had TWO white chemical burns on it! One, very noticeable on the top of his sleeve, and another on the collar. A really nice look for his prom date!! I called and took it in this morning and the owner is refusing to replace the jacket or make it right in any way! We are telling everyone we know...this is NOT the way to treat customers. Find another cleaner for your dry cleaning or you are at your own risk! Dennis actually said there was a spot ticket to work on the suit when we dropped it off. Blatant Lie! I took a black and white sweater in for laundering. First the white collar and cuffs were dyed bright pink. Then in an attempt to fix their mistake, the top half of the black body was bleached pinkish white and most of the stitching around the top had disintegrated. This item was fairly new as I had only worn it once. The owner, Dennis Baird, supposedly (over the phone to an employee while in my presence) promised in detail to compensate me for the ruined item. We have been bringing our clothes to Baird's for dry cleaning for some time now. I am finally fed up. I don't know how they do it or why, but over and over again the zipper on my pants gets ruined. It probably has to do with how they hook the pants up to be cleaned. I don't know, but multiple times I have had pants come back after cleaning with a few of the teeth on the zipper smashed/melted, so that the zipper gets stuck or won't close. I have mentioned this to them before, but of course no one knew anything about it, and there was nothing that they could do. Now I'm looking for a new cleaner. read more

VERY poor customer service. The owner accused me of trying to scam the company because the receipt showed that someone had picked up my clothes, when in reality nobody picked them up. The owner finally went and looked where they would be if the computer was wrong and there they were. The owner was extremely RUDE, CONDESCENDING, and UNPLEASANT. Just got done with a family wedding, where I had to help clean up and was still in my suit. Obviously it needed to be cleaned. Then my wife's grandfather passed away suddenly, so I paid extra for a rush cleaning on a suit because I needed to go to a funeral. The suit came back still dirty (visible lumps of frosting still on the suit), and it didn't smell clean. It was obvious they had just pressed it and not cleaned it at all. So, my wife took it back and asked them to redo it for free. They said they would, and when we got it back it looked cleaner (not perfect, but better), however there was a really bad washboard-wrinkle patch right on the front next to the lapel. I'm talking about a roughly 5"X5" area that looked awful right in the most visible area. So, my wife took it back again. The person at the window argued with my wife. Said "It's a problem with the material, we aren't responsible for that." My wife said, "It didn't look like that before." So, the girl at the window took it back to the presser, and he said some nasty things about my wife in Spanish (my wife understands Spanish). He steamed it, and what do you know, the wrinkles came right out in that area. However, my wife (now wary of them) checked it over well, and this time they really messed up the sleeve. So, she asked them to fix that. More swearing and nasty things about my wife from the press operator. I'm not a picky guy, but if you pay to have a suit dry cleaned, they ought to actually clean and press it, don't you think? And if they badly tweak your suit in the pressing, they ought to fix it. I will never use them again. I took in my husbands suit and 14 curtain panels. When I went to pick them up 2 days after the due date nothing was done and it took them some time (after looking all over the store and a phone call to locate the suit pants) to be able to even tell me when it would be done. I went back 2 days later to pick every thing up and was told there was some damage to some of the curtain panels. I said I know about the sun damage that had discolored the linen. When I got home to put the curtains back up I found that 3 of the panels had holes bigger than my hand. When I went back to explain my frustrations I wanted them to refund the cost of the cleaning on the 3 panels. I didn't expect them to replace them I just wanted a refund. I was told I could have a store credit. Since I will be taking my business else where that offer did me no good. By the way there is a new owner the Blanco family. I took an expensive, custom tailored shirt here to be cleaned, and they lost my shirt! It had my initials monogrammed into the fabric, so it should be easy to match the shirt to the owner, but it is nowhere to be found. I have tried but not been successful in my attempts to contact the owner. I was told by the employees that I would not be reimbursed for my custom tailored shirt, but that I should buy a shirt from Costco and I would be reimbursed for a that, but not for the original shirt, which was very expensive and had only been worn once. This is the absolutely the worse business I have ever dealt with. I took a pleated blouse in to get dry cleaned. When I picked it up they had ironed out the pleats, completely ruining it! When I talked to the owner he was the rudest man I have ever met! He would not make things right or admit that they had ruined my expensive blouse.
