I like that there's a drive up window. Makes it easy with kiddos. They do a fine job with the clothes. What I don't like is how grumpy most of the workers are. I'm having a bad day too and I'm still hi, how are you?! I'm not even the freaking customer service rep! Guess I'm just a decent human? My wife and I stopped by Veldon's to get a dress and suit dry cleaned for a work party. We dropped them off and were really impressed by the way they looked when we picked them up. Fast forward a couple of days to when we're getting dressed for the party. I put on the pants and they were a little snug getting the clasp together. I zipped up the pants, but the zipper wouldn't go all the way up. They were tight around the top, and the pockets were sticking out just a bit because the pants were tight. My wife asked if they were my pants... Then I put on the shirt and couldn't button the top button. Next up, the suit coat. I put it on and it was a little tight across the shoulders. I went to button it up, and it was tight around the middle as well. I couldn't help but think of Chris Farley on Tommy Boy... My wife put on her dress and said "It's a little bit tighter, but it fits a little better." Well, we ended up staying home - the suit I wore two weeks ago didn't fit anymore, and I didn't have time to run and buy a new suit before the event. Will never go back, unless I buy a suit that's simply too big and want to save on paying a tailor. read more

My wife had her wedding dress cleaned here as well and they boxed it up and it looks so good. She had a lot of lace on the dress and they cleaned it really well and looked brand new. I hate to leave a bad review but feel I should be honest, I just picked up my dry cleaning and it looks terrible!! We just moved to the area and were trying to find a new dry cleaners, I went off the good reviews and thought they would be as good as our old cleaners. I picked up the clothes, got them home, took off the plastic and they literally look exactly the same as when I dropped them off. The skirt still has all the creases from when I sat down wearing it, and the sweater literally still has the dog hairs from when I last wore it. On top of all that the sweater hanger did not have an anti slip sleeve so it had slipped really far off the hanger and the collar is really stretched out now. I will be returning only to get my money back, I am extremely disappointed and will not be using them again. I attached pictures to show just how terrible they really look. read more

Veldon's Cleaners is truly a neighborhood gem. Sadly, we had tried other places before finding Veldon's, and they were right around the corner and we just did not know it. We use both delivery and drop-off services. The delivery service in the local area is wonderful with a twice per week pick-up and delivery. The clothes are always returned on time. Drop offs are always handled proficiently as well. They offer drive-up service as well as walk-in. The staff are always friendly. The business maintains a small feel but the service is spot on. If you have large items such as comforters, long table clothes, etc, just coordinate with them on when you need the items returned. That particular service takes a bit longer than the general two day turn around. The prices are very reasonable and are appreciated. I always know what things will cost. I can also pre-pay for an item when I drop off if I chose. They take cash, debit/credit card or Venmo as well. read more

Her.....Sigh..with a slight moan of frustration......"Yes" Me......I am new to the area, can you explain the services you offer? Her.....Another Sigh, "we are a dry cleaner", we clean clothes? Me......Do you offer pickup and drop-off services Her.....Well, not really......(sigh)....you need to be on the route. Me......Is there a way for me to get on the route? Her.....No, so the best, I don't know, I guess it's best if you drive here. Whatever. Me......So how can I get on the route? Her.....I don't know how to add you to the route, so you need to come in. Me.....Is there someone I can talk to that knows how to add me to the route? Her....No, he doesn't get here till 4 Me.....So I can call back after 4 and talk to someone about getting on the route Her.....Yes, then hung up. This company was a wonderful company to work with, until this last year. There is cranky people working the front and they no nothing. They lost a shirt of mine in March and it is now September. This was no ordinary shirt, but one I wore twice. Once at my daughters wedding and one more time after that. No one knows what happened and the owner does not return phone calls. I was looking for a new dry cleaner so i thought i would try out veldons since it is close to my house. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! I needed to pick up my dry cleaning today but i left work a little late. i ended up arriving at veldons at 6:04 and the clerk refused to help me or acknowledge me. i know they had closed at 6 but i had a small order and was going to pay cash. i tried to explain this to the clerk but she could not have cared less. i will never use this shop again they have lost a customer for life. read more

Though the dry cleaning itself is good-the employee (esp the daytime employee) is downright the crankiest person i've ever had to deal with. As per the other reviewer we've also had to make multiple stops back-for example they say our d/c will be done on Thursday after 4-I stop by on Friday morning and it's still not done. Which only makes the cranky employee crankier if you should ask when they think your d/c will be done. read more

I went to Veldon's with no problems for over a year, but will never use their business again. I took a dress to be dry cleaned a few months back and when I received the dress back, they had broken it and not even bothered to notify me or offer an apology. I guess they just assumed I wouldn't notice. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more
