Delicious pizza! Our favorite is the "Iron Miner" with extra sauce! Frequent customers and always one of our favorites in the area!

Pros: The pizza is decent; I tried the six cheese since they felt the need to put trash on their Hawaiian (green peppers and onions do not a Hawaiian make), and it was good. The sauce could have been a little better, but the flavorful cheeses made up for it. Cons: I asked which crust was better and got a definition of what thin crust and hand-tossed meant, like I was from another planet and had never heard of pizza. When I pressed for which crust was better tasting or complemented my pizza better, I got a blank stare. When I went with thin crust, I was told the machine wasn't working so it wouldn't be true thin crust (maybe I should have left at this point). Worst of all, the meal was slower than Congress. Everything took forever: putting my order in, getting my order, getting a refill on my drink, getting a to go box, paying for my food. The meal should not have taken 65 minutes from seat to check. The waiter was nice and helpful, but looked to be running the place by himself as other staff kept needing him to assist them. Also, when I went up front to pay the bill someone from the kitchen was at the counter and instead of saying that someone else would be with me shortly, he tried to engage in awkward conversation which of course made the wait interminable. If you can't help me, go make some pizzas or fix the thin crust machine for God's sakes. read more

We were in the mood for pizza and wanted a non-chain experience. This place fit the bill. We started with the cheese sticks - OMG. The menu says 6 sticks, we got a 9" circle cut into 12-14 sticks. Dripping in garlic, butter and Parmesan - they were heaven. For pizza, we had the Mucho Meat in thin crust. The pie was great. Slight spice, not too much sauce and premium meat toppings. A little bit of a wait for the food, but the quality and taste were well worth the it. read more

I first tried their pizza several years ago and it was terrible. So bad that I never went back. Recently, we met friends there and I ate off their plate of appetizers. It was actually good. The pizza had improved. The cheese sticks were amazing - like a really good cheese pizza. Word of caution, it's very greasy - but in a good way. The cocktails were surprisingly good as well. Chicken wings are the best in town. We've been back to order the same things and it's been consistent. This used to be a great place to eat and get drinks but not so much anymore. I do not recommend going there ever! We stopped in for a beer and it was disgusting. We attempted to drink it but couldn't. We told the bar tender that something seems wrong and she said she has to flush the line. They didn't have bottles of the beer we wanted so I told her I'll pay for our other drink but not the beers . She got the manager and he went to check the keg and apologized because it was the bottom of it. He insisted that we still pay for the beers because we drank some of it. I refused and told him to smell my glass. He then agreed that something was wrong. Sorry buddy, the customer isn't always right but Stella Artois does not smell like stinky socks and taste sour. We had delivery over to Pine Mountain. Double order of Cheesy bread was excellent as well as the wings. We had 18 plain and 18 mild wings. The thin crust pizzas were very good as well. We ordered a family size supreme and family size sausage and pepperoni. The pizzas were a little soggy which I'm assuming was because of delivery. But they were still great!! Price was reasonable. Blackstone has excellent pizza and a great selection of beers on tap (Mostly small breweries and craft brews you may not have heard of), along with a full bar (that functions as an a pretty popular night spot). My family gets pizza here at least once a month and it's consistently excellent. My favorite is probably the Mediterranean, but all the pizza's we've had there are tasty. (I usually get extra sauce, but I like it a little saucy). I can also vouch for the Veggie, Hawaiian, Tuscan and plain old pepperoni and cheese. Haven't had the rest but I definitely will over time. They also have good wings and the service has always been super friendly. read more

Love the atmosphere here, but like someone said already, the service is SLOW. We went for my birthday last year (I'm not big on pizza, but the garlic bites and deep-fried pickles are to DIE for) and got held up at the restaurant so long we actually missed the movie we were planning to go to afterwards. Waited at least fifteen minutes just to get a member of wait staff to come take our order. My coworkers and I went for dinner and the place looked empty from the street. Turns out there is a little bar in the back, which is where everyone was eating. Cool wall art in the back! We split some pizzas from dinner. We ordered the Italian and Mucho Meat. Both went down well and the hand tossed crust was good. They didn't short us on the toppings either. So after 3 nights spent sleeping on a tent and eating campfire cuisine we were craving a hot shower and a pizza. We're staying in iron mountain at the days inn hotel, this place is advertised in the binder found in the rooms. For good reason. It's located in downtown iron mountain, near other cool upscale bars. There's street parking and a lot in back so finding a spot is easy. Upon walking indoors there's a counter and drink cooler because they offer take out, delivery and of course dine in. A hostess told us to seat ourselves which gave opened of booth or high top. We decided to go to the newly renovated bar area which was SO COOL. There's a cutout abstract neon wall feature. Surround sound and a full bar. The bartender was also the table server and she was awesome! They have a large screen with 15 craft beers on tap, my husband and I ended up getting 4 beers... mixed reviews but check out our untappd or instagram for that lol cheese sticks to share which we're out super fast and we're perfect. Then a Hawaiian pizza hand tossed to share. The pizza was incredible, hand tossed allowed for a thin and crispy oven baked base but also a fluffy crust. The sauce had good flavor, perfect amount of cheese and toppings. We lucked out and got live music and she was so good. If this place was near our home this would be our go to spot. read more

Food was good and pretty fast. The crust was awesome on the hand tossed pizza. It was a little weird that on a Saturday night there were only 2 other tables full on the restaurant. My biggest complaint is that for the other ingredients that were on my pizza being so fresh, I wish the pineapples on my Hawaiian pizza were also fresh. Also, eventhough the restaurant is very child friendly they don't have milk available. I don't know if they expect me to give a 2 and 5 year old pop, but even our waitress seemed to be pretty irritated that they didn't have it. Fantastic place!! The appetizer was cheesy bread, the most delicious cheese bread I've had! Perfect garlic butter and ample cheese applied. The thin crust pizza is the best I've had in a long time. I really used to like this place, and now I'm a little confused. Before I moved from Iron Mountain, I frequented this place ALL the time. The interior is fun, the food was delicious, and the staff was fantastic! Now, the food is still pretty good, but the staff is horrific. I don't know where they've found one of the wait staff, but it was a mess from the get go. We were basically asked to leave before we had even finished our food. This person was so confused by every little thing we ordered, and then was rude on top of it. It was bizarre. Drinks also have a tendency to be weak. I dunno. I'm not sure if it was a fluke, or if it's just gone downhill. Hopefully the latter. read more

Over priced for quantity and quality... I do like the nachos though, I just wish my chips were actually in the form of a chip and not a bunch of crumbs from what seemed to be the bottom of the bag. We were driving home from Mount Bohemia on a Sunday afternoon in mid to late January under mostly cloudy skies. My son found this place on yelp, and despite the warnings regarding slow service we decided to stop. A friendly wait staff showed us to the back room sports bar area. We ordered right away knowing this place is not known for speedy service. That was at 2:40 eastern standard time. It is now 3:05pm EST. If the pizza arrives within the next 5 minutes and is edible I am giving three stars. Waiting....btw we are in our own private room watching football on the heels of a great weekend so am inclined to give a generous review. Status update its 2:10 and we have been waiting for 30 plus minutes for our pie. Getting a little nervous. 2:13 pizza arrived. Looks good. Generous toppings! Great crust. Hot. Very green peppers. This place used to be pretty good but after our last experience we won't be going back. We ordered a salad, wings, and pizza last time we went. The salad was Greek, and although it tasted decent, it wasn't a Greek salad (had cheddar cheese instead of feta, for example). Also the wings were flavored nicely but very small with a tiny portion for the price. The worst was the pizza - my husband ordered garlic butter to go with it, and they put the garlic butter container IN THE CENTER OF THE PIZZA , which left a huge dent. When he called to complain they were just like "oh" - no apology or anything. We used to love this place but it seems to have gone downhill. read more

Blackstone is a go to place when I'm in town. They have a great beer selection. Some nights the bar host bartenders that produce excellent mixed drinks. The pizza is on par with or better than all of the other good pizza in the area. Try the Iron Miner. Their wings are good too. The atmosphere is great with a good bar feel, live music some nights, and sports on the TVs. Don't be put off by the front entrance. read more

This place deserves a much better rating that it has been given. The food was delicious and the quantity was immense. 25 bucks for delicious 10 wings, a plate of cheesesticks and a large pizza with as many toppings as you like. It doesn't get better than this. I've been coming up to Iron Mountain for the past 10 years for work and Blackstone has been the best place for Pizza and beer. This week I visited 51st state brewery they also have pizza it was good but nothing special. The pizza was better at Blackstone and there beer selection is so much better. 51st state had 3 beers, but Blackstone had 16 on Tap including KBS. This wasn't the first time I had Kbs at Blackstone. I was disappointed that I wasted a night at 51st State. I've never been disappointed at Blackstone! Great tap takeover from Pigeon Hill brewery also. read more
