Ambiance is very good, food was excellent, but a little pricey, service could use improvement when we walk through the door we stood at the kiosk for about 5 minutes while he was on the phone finally a server seated use, then for another 5 minutes or so before being helped, the food came in a timely manner although our cocktails came after the meals was served. If I could choose absolutely zero stars I would. We called and already the girl on the phone should have been a giveaway of how this experience would go. We had a reservation and showed up about 3 minutes early. We were seated shortly after arrival and it was active inside but not crazy busy.. a lot of open tables about between servers, bussers/food runners and bartenders there were about 11 employees not including hostess'.. once we were seated we waited 12 minutes and not one person touched our table.. meanwhile a group of 6 servers and bussers were congregating and laughing and chatting by the bar.. when we made eye contact with one of the servers she just kind of stared at us and continued her conversation with a busser. Not one person approached us. Then they seated a 6 person group next to us and someone came to take their order. Unacceptable. I'm an avid small business supporter but this business will not be gaining any more visits from my family and I. I was a restaurant manager for many years and sadly you are who you hire... how you train your employees is a direct reflection of your business ethic. Sad to say a number of those employees def needed a refresher course on how to interact with customers starting with the host stand. read more

Ordered Chilaquiles it had choices for sauces and protein. Its odd the server offers if we wanted protein and in the menu nor by the server does it mention that it would be an additional charge. Disappointing Experience at Blackstone! My husband and I were in the area, as he was getting a haircut. I was walking the dog around Dos Logas while waiting for him. I noticed Blackstone was open, so I stopped and asked if we could eat on the patio, as we had the dog. This was on Valentine's Day and the dining room was full. The hostess was very nice and told me he would meet us out on the patio. There was one other family out there. He left the menu's and walked away. We sat there for a good 20 minutes talking and nobody ever came out to take our order. I asked the other family how long they had been waiting and said longer than us. We decided to leave! We did look over the menu's and everything looked interesting and delicious but also looked overpriced for a breakfast/brunch spot. Not sure we will go back! read more

I set up reservations, and we decided to leave after waiting for 20mins for anyone to come by to at least get our drink order. It's a unique atmosphere, but it's not a good first impression - when you let the hostess know that you have reservations; and he looks so confused. The hostess walked back and forth, and seated us in a big table rather than seating us at a two person table. While sitting down we noticed the waiter walking around to the same table more than once, he kept forgetting things for them he looked lost. Everyone working there looked confused, including what seemed to be the manager after I let him know that we were leaving. Very disappointed on how we were treated. I chose this place to celebrate my bday dinner with co workers and bragged about how pleasant it was because I live at Dos Lagos and frequently dine there. We were a couple of hours into our dinner, paid our bill and around 7:40 server comes over and says "we will have to ask you to leave in 5 minutes because we have a party of 20 coming in." 4stars? Boy we must have gone on an off day. The pros: Nice dark and relaxing ambiance. The so-so's: The food was ok The bad news: The service was horrible! There were only about 3 tables of people there yet we had to wait a few minutes before the hostess showed up and took us to a table. No offer of coffee so we waited for the kid playing waiter to show up. He brought a fork and a knife, no spoon and we had to ask for coffee. Another 5 mins and he showed up with some coffee which we stirred with our forks. Then we had to wait for him to return and take our order. attitude was well, disinterested. The food took forever to come out. No offer of more coffee even though he was walking around aimlessly with coffee pot in hand, don't ask me why, I never figured it out as he wasn't stopping at tables asking about refills. Finally the food came and as I mentioned wasn't bad. My partner's was not exactly "piping hot". Finally he came by and dropped off the check. We waited another 10 mins and he rang it up at the table making sure to hover while I decided which tip button to push. It was the only time he showed any interest in our being there..:) I rarely leave no tip so the next lowest choice was 18%, about 10% more than he "earned" imo and I realize the staff shares in that money so I can't punish them for his poor service. He took his machine and left, no "have a nice day", nothing. For the sake of future customers we brought this to the asst. mgr's attention (the gen manager hadn't arrived yet...at 10:30am to a place that's only open for bkfst and lunch??? Nice gig I suppose! The asst. mgr/bartender did his best to pretend like he cared as we shared our experience with him. Will we come back? Heck no. Not for that level of service and the prices were on the high side too. I don't believe this place will still be open a year from now. The restaurant business is tough and super competitive in this environment and surprisingly too many, like these guys and the recently closed Rock n Brew's are finding out, you gotta do better if you want to survive. read more

My aunt made a reservation ahead of time for our party of 8 for brunch and received a confirmation text but as soon as we arrived, the hostess told us that we weren't in their system and we had to wait an hour. This was disappointing especially since parties the same size of us were sat ahead of us and got their food faster. Food and coffee were good but they need to honor their reservations especially when you have a confirmation text to prove you made one.
