I had gone to the car wash and used the scrubber provided before I went in and purchased the $13 deluxe car wash. After going through it and realizing my car was still dirty in multiple spots I went to the gas station attendant who I couldn't understand that well. I told him what happened and he said I could buy another one. However, eventually he gave me a refund and I was able to rescrub my car then run my car through the wash. read more

Went to the location 7/9/24 and was told the monthly pass was not available for sale and to come back tomorrow to speak with "The Woman." This business is continuing to push customers away. Not sure what their business model is. I sent a complaint into Shell corporate. And the person working there doesn't speak English every well. * The machine will take your credit card payment, but it may malfunction and not give you a car wash. (I went inside and had to prove that the machine took my payment by calling the CC company, and then let them listen to the auto-message. I was on my way to the parents' house and needed gas. This was my neighborhood gas station growing up along with the Chevron across the street. It was kind of a trip coming here as I haven't had to get gas around Blackhawk in a very long time. Prices without a car wash on Friday, January 1st were: $2.799 regular, $2.919 plus and $2.999 v-power. If you were to get a car wash, prices per gallon are lower by: $0.20 regular, $0.22 plus, $0.20 v-power. With a car wash, the prices seem competitive, but without one, this gas station is on the pricier side. But we are by Blackhawk, so I guess that's to be expected. For the area, there aren't many gas stations around. So if you're like me and running dangerously low, this isn't a bad option. Super convenient when visiting the parents. read more

I don't know if it's just me, but it always seems like something is broken or not working at this Shell. I always have an issue with the pumps here not pumping without me holding the lever down. This is probably one of the nicer looking Shells I've ever been to. The people work here are pretty friendly. I think it makes sense to get free air when you buy gas, but I don't always line up when I fill up my tires with when I get gas. Either way, the attendants are always nice enough to give me air even though they don't see me filling up. Theres an employee named Jimena. I counted my money in the car which was $45 the only cash I had to put for gas. I gave her the money and went back to pump, it only pumped to $25 so I go back and she claims I only gave her $25! Which I SPECIFICALLY counted the money in the car! So she ended up counting the money in the register turn's out she was negative $40 (Obviously has counting issues) She did not want to call manager to resolve this and gave me attitude. Gas prices are getting higher & higher. Yikes. They have two sides of pumps for this gas station & one side they don't work. So I had to drive over to the other side. The the middle & higher gas was out of order for the whole freaking gas station. Wtf?! My car needs premium; not the lowest one. BEWARD OF THIS STATION UNLESS YOU HAVE CASH! I've had it with this station. They seem to always have issues with their electronic systems. Car Wash codes rarely work and constant issues with using your debit card. Some pumps accept cards and other do not and the station does nothing to mark which ones are not working. I was on fumes today and pulled in for gas. They rejected my debit card (plenty in my account) and was told I had to speak with the clerk. Instead I left (not worth a trip inside) and went to Safeway where my card got rejected AGAIN. Bank of America shut my card down due to my attempt to buy gas here! I had to call, wait on hold, and was told this was a fraudulent vendor. They tried to get $75 off of me without dispensing a drop of gas! I've had it with this place. Car wash code used to be good for 90 days, gas station changes the policy to 14-day without posting any sign pump. Asked for owner's contact info, staff gave me the Shell 800 number, bad service and policy. Very bad customer service. Car washing machine was broken for a long period of time, during the replaced of new computer system at car washing machine, I did meet with owner, and he was helpful to solve my issue ( station replaced the computer without porting previous purchased code). Owner gave me a new code to access the car washing system. read more

After two bad experiences there out of two times going, I will no longer give this place my business! The first time, the pump I pulled up to was not working AND the clerk on duty has no idea how the Rewards cards work, so they got full price. Second time, the car wash didn't work when I went through and the SAME clerk had no idea (and even accused my of not really going through the car wash) how to make it work or had the power to re-do it for me. He told me to come back when the manager was on duty. Tried calling many times and funny thing that the manager never seems to be there, yet nobody has the authority to rectify a car wash code issue. I was in the area yesterday and stopped by the Shell station ...New Pumps they needed that..they were very friendly and spoke ENGLISH! got 20cents of per gal of gas just cause I got a car wash nice!
