My coworker and I gave this place a try after another coworker recommended it. My GPS found it perfectly, but I would have never known it was there had I not been told about it. Located inside the little airport, it has no signs outside or inside. The only way we knew we were in the right spot was due to the diner scent that led us to its door that had a small name decal on it. We arrived around noon on a Thursday and this place was PACKED!! What a view!!! So cool how you can see all the planes coming and going! Parking was really easy, too, since it's at the airport. We waited just a minute to be seated and the waitress greeted us promptly. Really the fastest service ever regardless of them being so busy. My coworker got the tenderloin and I opted for the breakfast all day option and got The Tomahawk. The chorizo was some of the best best I've ever had which was quite a surprise coming from a Columbus IN airport. I saw like 5 things on the menu I wanted to try so we'll definitely be back. Plus the pics from everyone else look so good and the coffee smelled heavenly!

This is how our food came out in October 2017... totally not living up to the hype of photos and reviews online - total bummer.

I went to this place on the way back from my honeymoon on October 11th 2017. This is how the food came out after finding hair in my orange juice and the waitress put her fingers around the rim of our glasses and went back to polishing forks and spoon behind us. I felt bad as we seen photos online and roadtrip off the hwy for this. To say, we didn't eat this and just left cash on table and left. Totally disappointed as the photos and reviews didn't hold up.

I'm usually not a breakfast person but this place has made me crave breakfast. I can't get enough of the chorizo and hatch chili biscuits and gravy, unreal. Anything I've ever ordered from the menu has been great. The view while eating at the window booths is pretty cool too. There's not many places that you get to watch planes go by as you eat.

Food was very delicious. Our waitress was very kind. Here are some updated menu pictures! It's very small inside, but our food was great!

Awesome little breakfast joint with a great view of the airport from the inside. Great service. The tomahawk is the plate to order if you come here. Restaurant was clean. The biscuits and gravy were just OK. Nothing spectacular on that. Overall a great place to eat for breakfast/lunch..

What a fun little spot! I'm not from thr columbus area so i plugged in breakfast places on google and found this little gem. At first i thought it was a mistake because it took us to a small municiple airport, but then i put it together snd we ventured in for s delicious breakfast. My friend had scrambled eggs and cheese and ssid the eggs were cooked perfectly. I had the California Beneduct which was also tasty. Did crispy hashbrowns just right

We really loved this place!! The potatoes were super soft and not super greasy like most places have it. The tomato jam on the smoked chicken bowl was amazing and the grits were wonderful as well and had a nice large texture.

Rohde’s Family Diner - Fried bologna sandwich

We stopped in for breakfast last weekend. We were not disappointed. We had a great satisfying meal…read more We got the Rise and Shine with sausage and a biscuit as well as the Friend Bologna sandwich that I of course had to add Bacon and a little mustard to. The homemade chips were delicious as well, they were not all super crispy and I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. All food was great!!! The diner is nice and quiet and the food feels like home. Our server was fun and very welcoming. I didn't catch her name and I feel bad about that. We will be back to try other items for sure.

The decor is country with country music playing in the background. Holly, our server, was friendly, engaging and attentive. She checked on us regularly. Food came out super quickly. They offer daily lunch specials and have a standard breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered a vegetable omelette that was filled with onions, peppers and tomatoes and my choice of cheese. The omelette was large, light and perfectly cooked. The star of the breakfast for me was the marbled rye toast which was delicious. My husband had the Rise and Shine breakfast which was a hearty meal with two perfectly cooked eggs, a homemade biscuit, hash browns and a meat which he chose bacon. He would have preferred the bacon to be a little more crisp, but the breakfast was, overall, a winner. The assorted jellies were a hit. Price were really reasonable. They were half full during our early morning visit, but the noise level is high. The restaurant is an easy/fast two miles off the highway. There is also plenty of parking around the building. The restrooms are super clean and nice.

I've lived in Edinburgh my whole life, and I can honestly say the Edinburgh Diner never misses--but…read moretheir 16oz thin-cut tenderloin is on a whole different level. It's not just a meal, it's *the* meal you crave when you want something truly satisfying and classic. The tenderloin is massive, perfectly breaded, and fried to golden perfection with just the right amount of crisp. Despite how big it is, it's incredibly tender and flavorful in every bite--not greasy, not dry, just done exactly right. You can tell they've perfected this over time. What really makes it special is how consistent it is. Whether you're stopping in on a busy day or a quiet afternoon, it always comes out just as good as the last time. Pair it with their sides and you've got a plate that feels like home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff treats you like family, and the food reminds you why small-town diners are unbeatable. If you're anywhere near Edinburgh and don't try the 16oz thin-cut tenderloin, you're seriously missing out. Easy 5 stars every single time.

The menu has plenty of options, but we had to go for their signature tenderloin. We were excited to dig in. They offered an extra bun plus lettuce and tomato for an additional charge. If you're planning to split the sandwich, I highly recommend getting that second bun -- we were able to make two full sandwiches out of it. Just note that fries aren't included; they're an extra charge as well. We ordered some, but they arrived lukewarm, which was disappointing. The sandwich itself was tasty, though definitely heavier on breading than meat. Overall, it was a good experience and worth trying once, but we probably wouldn't return unless we happened to be passing through Edinburgh again.
