The food was great! Excellent burger! We came in during the lunch rush and it was a small wait but definitely worth it. Order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There were lots of people eating that seemed happy and satisfied with their food.

Burgers were great and the fries were extremely satisfying-especially with the sauce they served.

I'm telling you. This is not your ordinary local pub…read more Gastronomically, Gorgeous. I could only decide (because there were ingenious choices) when our bar server, Hannah, suggested "Sweet Heat." Listed under "Pinsa Flat Bread" it came out 12"x6" thick bread perfectly browned in oven with gooey garlic/mozzarella but, wait, caramelized onions, thick-diced grilled chicken that tasted like bacon. Every two or three inches, one pickled jalapeño perfectly placed for heat that didn't burn, and over it all, drizzled HOT HONEY!!! My mouth was ecstatic. Pretty soon I couldn't wait to cut with my fork and knife to have my third and fourth triangled piece. Sitting, leaning over the high long bar, I just held the sticky, sweet cheesy spicy bread with all ten fingers tipping my head to catch the drips. Passion Orange Guava Cider washed it all down. I made a trip to the restroom and wash my hands then stopped at the kitchen window to rave about the menu with Clayton, the cook. This was all on a summer Monday night in June, low west sun shining into the cozy wood space, baseball silenced on the three screens, fun, toe-tapping music the whole two hours we stayed. The Gibbons couple have scored the times with their courage to do local, unusual creative food with a dialed-back vintage vibe.

Meant to take pictures, but I ate it all too fast!…read more Very friendly service and a nice concrete oasis out back. Looks clean dive in front and rather pretty out back; perfect vibe for the location. The spicy bacon bloody marys are fantastic, could only really be improved by adding a pepperoncini to the toothpick for a palette cleanse. The beer battered fries were dope, but the "add garlic" feature would be better if the garlic was quickly sautéed in oil and then tossed with the fries to spread the glory evenly. I thought the burger had some great flavors, but the patty was a touch overcooked, and the mushrooms and swiss cheese were a bit anemic. Overall, I'd highly recommend this spot and with a few tweaks there'd be a fifth star. I plan to return next time I'm in the area!

On our way back north, we stopped by Mount Olympus Brewery. It was quite quiet, especially since it was a Sunday and not many people were there. We were just me and two other friends, so we decided to sit at the bar and have a few drinks. The place was fairly quiet, and they had a TV in the bar area, which was pretty cool. We ended up watching the NBA Finals game seven. The servers were amazing--down-to-earth, very personable, and they made us feel very welcome. Maybe because it wasn't that many people there, but anyway, I don't think that was an issue. There were great people there. They had plenty of options on draft and bottled/ canned , but I sampled two stouts on draft. The one that I liked the most was the Blood of Hades, which is a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout that aged for 12 months. I really enjoy the flavors of bourbon, char, and chocolate, hence the vanilla, and combined with bursting flavors of cinnamon, spice, and dark chocolate. It's by far earned its place in my top 5% of styles that I've drunk in multiple regions. I should definitely return here in the near future and indulge some more because this place seems pretty cool. It's very quiet and peaceful. I recommend coming to Mount Olympus Brewery if ever in Aberdeen.

The raspberry cider ended up being my favorite. I enjoyed tasting pickle beer snd a stout, hope to get that next time. The hook tender Pizza was a hit- tasty and generously loaded with toppings. they have indoor outdoor seating as well as sell branded merchandise. My only complaint is it took us about an hour to get our pizza so I think they may have forgot to put my order in until they saw me come into get another beer? ;) it was either that or possibly they were cooking out of order, as I seen people have their food before us? I don't mind if delayed, but I do wish it was communicated. Obviously, I'm still giving a five star because everyone was very friendly, food and drinks were delicious. (Just communication of waiting times is key.)

Pros: Chill lounge/sitting area at the front corner with sofas, a low bar (accessibility friendly) and board games. Big tables to accommodate groups and various bar seating. Large brewery menu screens with large range and the food looked good. Tbh we came for brews so can't comment on food. The Wildman Beer brand was so-so. Some better than others! Cons: FOH staff interaction. Why we love pubs/breweries is because of the chill, friendly, conversational flow of FOH; their knowledge of the beers and/or cocktails, their passion for sharing it with new customers so they come back again and again ... this vibe fell short at Wildman. TL;DR Good for a basic group of people looking for a brewery experience in town with room for large groups. Not for those who are expecting an awesome brewery experience -- a la PDX, DEN, PHX, ATX or SEA.

But when I saw that they opened up a location in Olympia and Steve and I were going to Olympia for a show it made perfect sense to go to this new location. Downtown where our show was is super walkable and this brewery is right there. When we went in what escaped my attention at the Raymond location was that I was particularly impressed with their own mead selection. And the mead did not disappoint in the slightest. The first mead I had was their Oak Aged Classic Mead. Such fantastic balance in body and the oak flavor was truly impressive! I got another mead from the list, the Sneaky Bastard Meer. It's called meer I believe due to the five different kinds of hops they put into it. Great floral and honey flavored highlights! Our experience here was excellent! Steve enjoyed his drink selections as well! Definitely returning for more mead enjoyment!
