We were here in December 2025, so it's the off season and there were just a couple other families dining in. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. We loved their hot sauce selection and ended up buying two bottles to bring home. Husband had the poke bowl and Alabama Slammer. He loved his selection and said it was delicious. Kiddo had the pulled pork sandwich and also loved it. I had the fish tacos. They were tasty. My only complaint is the fish strips were more breading than fish but otherwise they were good. If I could give 0 stars, I would. WOW. The service here is absolutely awful. It took 25 minutes for our food to come out and it was COLD. Not to mention, this bbq is nothing to rave about. The mac and cheese tasted like the white cheddar pastaroni you can get at the store for $1. Wasn't expecting true Southern BBQ... but wow.. I might as well buy a TV dinner over coming here and save my money. Not pictured, my mom got the nachos and they were the smallest serving size. Not worth $20 in the slightest. They were drizzled with too much bbq sauce so they were incredibly soggy and also cold. To make things worse, the woman serving us was the farthest from offering warm hospitality. I asked for utensils and some pepper for my chowder, and her first reply was "it's gonna be awhile" as she acted the most inconvenienced. We basically paid $40 to utilize the undercover outdoor space (because we had a dog) during a little rainstorm. That's the ONLY nice thing this spot has to offer. Not quite the quality you get in Hawaii, but that's what makes visiting Hawaii so worth it. The bowl ran about $17 and the side of Kimchee another few dollars. Stopped in to eat while on vacation and I have to admit I was not impressed. The food was mediocre at best, not a lot of flavor, and the Hawaiian chicken looked uncooked. However, it was fully cooked, it just looked like it wad boiled as there was no charring or bbq grill marks. If you look on their website it shows chicken that's actually grilled but as you can see from my picture that's not the case. We should have read the reviews more carefully, as we are not the first to comment how terrible the brisket was. See the attached photo - that is a $25 plate of brisket with .5 bites gone. I have a medical disability and it took me around 15 minutes to even get a seat. When we got the table, there was still trash on it and nobody came to pick it up. Last time we went I got the brisket and my husband got the pork. He said his pork was good but a little dry. My brisket however was at least half fat so I would never order that again. My beans were also borderline cold. There were only two gals doing everything out front from taking orders to making drinks to cleaning tables. Understaffed. Honestly, don't remember much of it because I bit into my fish sandwich and immediately got burnt by hot liquid that came out of the fat fish patty. I lived in Maui for a number of years and I'm always looking for proper traditional Hawaiian cuisine. My wife had the Kahlua pork with cabbage and it was perfect. It's Kahlua pork with cabbage so it's nothing to write home about, it's simple but it has great flavor. I ordered the piggybacker Burger. It's a Burger with Bacon, pulled pork, and coleslaw. Had a nice balance, with a touch of the barbecue sauce. It had a nice flavor going. It's obviously not Hawaiian, it's more Of a classic barbecue burger but I highly recommend it. It was nice. They had a number of gourmet hot sauces on hand. The Mac salad also had the exact flavor I was looking for. I thought the noodles were a little dense so if I'm going to nitpick it would be the macaroni itself. But the flavor was spot on. If you're in Westport and you're feeling like some barbecue, this place should certainly scratch that itch. read more

While you wouldn't expect a 'Hawaiian-bbq-fusion' spot in the fishing-heavy town of Westport, we'll here it is! And a danged hood one too. Hubby and I grabbed ribs for takeout one evening to eat back on our boat since the tables were all busy. We were very happy with our choice as the portions were super generous, meat was tender and flavorful...and the service is way friendly. The dining options are good too with a covered 'outside' area where you can bring the pups as well as the rest of the fam. We went today while allowing crab pots to sit in the water. Only 1 wait staff working and a busy restaurant, she did ok but once she took your order and dropped it off she just kind of forgot you. Menu looked fantastic but the food was mediocre at best. The best thing was probably the fries and the cowboy egg rolls even though one of mine had a huge chunk of bone in it. I ordered the pulled pork platter with the baked beans and Mac and Cheese. I was starving but it just wasn't very appetizing and the Mac and Cheese tasted like it came from box. My plate definitely lacked flavor. My guest had the fish and chips, there fish also had a large chunk of bone it. The prices are reasonable but we would definitely not order what we ordered. After having fried oysters in Oregon a couple of times, we decided to try something different and lighter, thus our stop at Aloha Alabama! My friend and I shared the poke salad; the folks at Aloha were great about giving us an extra plate. Unfortunately, the tuna that was used was not the greatest grade... the cut was fibrous and hard to chew... and there was not very much tuna included. Another friend got the fish tacos and they looked delicous; she was happy with them. The clam chowder was a disappointment, though. It was thin and didn't have much in the way of clams, potatoes, or bacon. The outdoor dining tent was great. There were picnic tables that were pretty well distanced from each other. We checked this place out when we headed to Westport to surf. It was a Monday and they were only open till 5pm. They just have outdoor covered seating and you order at the counter. The food came out relatively quick and they do have alcohol or soda options. I ordered the pulled pork nachos. The pulled pork was really good but I didn't like the fact they were over BBQ chips. I should have read the menu closer. They had some aoli sauce as well and tomatoes but it was not my thing. My kids ordered the kid burger which is not published on the menu. They have some other kid options so just ask when you order. They are about $6-$7 My husband ordered the pulled pork and poke bowl which he really liked. This was our first stop when we arrived in Westport recently. We came here for lunch after being drawn to the unique name and seeing the Yelp reviews. There was only one person taking orders in front and he was patient as I asked questions about the restaurant (the wife is from Hawaii and the husband is from Alabama). We weren't super hungry so we decided to split an order of their "Famous Fish Tacos" which were very good and reasonably priced at $13.49 for four tacos. We also liked their large selection of hot sauces and how they are displayed. We decided to order macaroni salad and steamed rice on the side and felt those were overpriced at $3.99 each for small containers. And for me, the macaroni salad was very plain and not what I am used to for Hawaiian style macaroni salad. It didn't take too long for our food to arrive despite the apparent lack of workers. The dish comes with two (2) sides and you can order additional if you're feeling it. Their corn muffins are the smallest I've ever seen in my life! Flavor was meh as far as a corn muffin goes. Such a great meal! We arrived with a bit of a hunger pain setting in so we were ready to tackle the entire menu!!!! The place is clean and the menu is large with a bit of something for everyone in your group. We ordered the meat platter, pulled pork sandwich, kids smoked garlic chicken thigh meal, and lots of egg rolls! Food was out quickly and very tasty. We also took a spin at the hot sauce wall and regretted a few of our decisions. I think the unsung star of this shop is the freezer case that stares at you while you're ordering..... it's filled with menu items to take home and enjoy at a later time but the cookie dough was definitely the star of the case! This place may have a strange name but don't let that deter you! Their food is a mix of Hawaiian Barbeque and southern comfort food. And it's delicious! Located right on the marina in Westport this place has a wonderful view to look at while eating. There's plenty of parking all along the marina area area right in front. My boyfriend and I shared their fish tacos and fried pickles, and each had a sweet iced tea. There were four fish tacos all of which had a crispy cod fillet and lots of great toppings. Their corn tortillas were crisped just to perfection to give them a nice char. The fried pickes were crunchy and had a great flavor and also size...not too big or small. Just right. I wish there was more poke or other island offerings to choose from but the bbq here is pretty good!
