Too fancy of food for Everett, not very big portions. It's a cute little place, just wasn't for me.

This cute cafe has a seasonal menu which is pork based. The biscuits are made with lard also. They also sell raw milk and kombucha, fun sodas as well as the full coffee menu. Baked goods include beautiful homemade desserts, the lemon cheese cake was eye catching but lacked flavor and was $$$. The Black Valley Provender has become one of our local favorites. We recently returned, 1/8/23, for lunch with our daughter. I had the Brisket Mac and Cheese. It was absolutely awesome. My wife had the Provender Reuben which was also very good. We were back again on 1/21/23 for lunch with my mom. We had the Chicken Salad Toast and the Provender Reuben...again. Great! I had the Shepherds Pie. It was the best I have ever eaten. Just know it is a smaller portion if you are very hungry. Also, please note that they have cut their evening hours and no longer offer dinners. I can't say enough about how much we enjoy the Black Valley Provender and the friendly owners and staff. read more

Delicious and cozy British themed cafe. Worth a visit. Food was delicious and the pastries are amazing.

Why stop at a chain coffee house when you can take a few extra minutes to enjoy this wonderful, locally owned cafe? Delicious, VERY filling "English breakfast" (with local sausage, ham and bacon!) and softest, lightest buckwheat pancakes. Best of all-- the young (11 and under) servers gleefully helping out in this true family business. ("OK, it's complicated. Her grandma is my grandma's sister.") Great atmosphere! read more

This place is amazing! My family stopped here while traveling and it is the perfect breakfast/brunch spot! The ambience was so cute; the seating and decor had lots of character. We came to visit this shop. When we walked in we were met with a frazzled owner throwing menus at us. He walked back to his open kitchen where I then listened to him berate an 18 year old employee. Loudly to where everyone in the shop could hear him. When I expressed my uncomfortability and unease with his method of bullying the boy publicly I was told I was the disruption and I was wrong because that's his stepson and he's a drill sergeant so it's ok to talk to his staff how he wants. I used a calm and gentle tone when communicating with the owner and was met with contempt and disregard for my concern. The shop itself was BEAUTIFUL and the food looked impeccable. But there is a time and place to reprimand people. Loudly and publicly is not it. I would have loved to spend the money there because I believe it would have been worth it. But the disregard for the mental wellness of the staff, stepson or not, was far too disappointing for me to be able to participate. The two stars go strictly for the look of the shop and the young man controlling any feelings he may have been having and continuing his work despite the negative environment. I hope the owner/ FATHER does better next time creating a healthy work space! read more

This place is absolutely charming! Cozy and warm friendly service make this place a hidden gem! We had the toad in the hole, Reuben, brisket Mac and cheese, and fried chicken sandwich, all of which were delicious. We also got some amazing lattes to take on the road with us. A sweet cafe with wonderful ambiance. The owner has done a nice job of making the place cozy including local art work on the walls. Very friendly staff. The only draw back for me is there are little to no vegetarian options to choose from. Otherwise, we would be regulars. The Provender is an asset to the town! read more

This is such a cute coffee shop! They have so many coffee options (especially if you have a sweet tooth like me), and their menu is super unique! The chicken salad toast I had was delicious, and the portion filled me up all day. I also got a chance to chat with owner, who was incredibly welcoming. What a find! Stopped by on our way home to VA and was pleasantly surprised at this treasure trove of coffee and baked goods. Unique menu options, local and sustainable products. Nice cozy country cafe vibe and the owner was warm and friendly. Wish this place was closer to home for us but if we ever drive that way again we will certainly be stopping by :) read more

What a wonderful stop on our travels. We stopped for breakfast and everything was delicious. Great coffee. I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin and it was perfectly cooked. This is such a great place! I have stopped in twice in the last few months and it has been outstanding both times. Today I had the chicken salad on sour dough - so so good. They sell a lot of different things from local honey to pickled eggs and the desserts are very good. Definitely worth the stop if you are passing through Everett PA - I will return for sure! read more
