I coffee shops if you can't tell if you follow my adventures. This one doesn't disappoint. I'm always looking for a cozy place to work from most of the time. This place fits that. Super nice staff and great vibes. Four stars for me because im not much for coffee flavor itself the other stuff in it is what makes me happy like white chocolate mochas. Caramel lattes etc....the flavor just wasn't there for my caramel latte, it was bitter with lack of the caramel flavor. They may have the best coffee you have had if you are the black with a little something in it. Give it a go!

Short & sweet review to highlight the many wonderful things about this coffee shop. The location is great, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the coffee is made with care. It's pretty easy to find street parking nearby, since this shop is on the corner of Elm and Ninth. I stopped here to work remotely for a few hours on a Thursday, and I would definitely come here regularly. There was smooth R&B playing, which totally amplifies the creative, community vibe this place has. I love the wall mural and the decorative art that highlight Black culture. The prices are also right on ... I ordered a "Woah Latte" and a bagel with cream cheese, and spent about $10. The barista was extremely thorough, asking what type of milk I preferred, and how to spell my name. I also love that they feature desserts from Sweet Petit! I'll definitely be back to the intersection of Community & Culture very soon!

This was my first time checking out black coffee lounge and it was such a cool and unique experience! The service was exceptional as everyone I had encountered was very endearing and polite. It gave off such chill vibes as music played throughout the building and the workers were singing, dancing, and having a good time all while keeping up on their orders. There are some very intriguing art pieces on the walls to look at too! I ordered a swirl latte which was steamed milk with caramel and dark chocolate and I added oat milk to mine. It was very delicious and the perfect temperature! I also had a chocolate muffin which was delicious and the opposite of dry for those who hate the "m" word 10/10 recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

A great downtown coffee shop still delivering great drinks and bites in these pandemic times. Love the Woah! Latte, so smooth and so balanced with caramel and vanilla. A mid-day small kept me going for the rest of the day. You want to talk the talk or walk the walk. If it is the latter get your rear-end down to this community-centered shop.

Needed to warm up and get a caffeine fix after a cold wait in line for sneakers. I had seen Black Coffee Lounge features on the Yelp Cincy Instagram page and knew I wanted to give them a try. This would be the perfect place to sit, work, and ppl watch while just taking in the vibe. There's tables to be productive and couches to chill. There's definitely a hip hop vibe throughout the whole shop, from the "It Was All A Bean" sign in the window to the music playing. I am a sucker for a lavender latte and theirs is definitely top 5. The staff was great about offering suggestions and they were super patient when I was being indecisive.

Awesome coffee and excellent service! Cute little coffee lounge that has delicious coffee, has friendly service and plays great music. What more could you want?! I stopped in today to pick up an Iced Coffee. I noticed all the yummy looking pastries and cookies in the display case on the counter and decided on a Red Velvet Cookie. My husband resisted the treats but ordered an Espresso. My iced coffee was blended perfectly. Rich, creamy and sweet, but not cloyingly so. It was absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed his espresso too. They use La Terza coffee, which is excellent coffee and a favorite of ours. They sell it here by the bag also. They adhere to all pandemic protocols and there is plenty of parking nearby. We will definitely stop in again for more great coffee!

I am so glad I finally got to try this place! I just stopped in to grab an afternoon pick-me-up included in the yelp elite event and it was great! The staff were super friendly, greeted me right as I walked in and took my order. She was very quick to give me the milk options for my swirl latte, including their non-dairy options. The swirl latte is amazing, Carmel and dark chocolate, not too sweet with wonderful flavor. They also had some really yummy looking bakery options, I can't wait to go back and try more menu items. I'd definitely recommend stopping in and supporting this locally owned coffee shop! The place is super cool, once the pandemic has calmed down this would be an awesome place to meet friends and hang out, I love the art work on the walls and the overall vibe, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Love this addition to Cincy! The environment is so friendly and comfortable. The employees are extremely friendly and personable. It makes the visit so much better. I have gotten the lavender latte and the whoa! The lavender latte was a perfect balance of sweetness & floral. The WHOA was on the sweeter side but still amazing! I also got the vegan chai muffin which was very delicious. I have found a new favorite place. I can't wait for this place to open up fully, it'll be a great place to hang out and drink delicious coffee!

Great place, came to visit with my wife for a day and we stopped by this place. From ambiance to beverage it was amazing. We got the lavender latte and woah latte with a vegan chai muffin and oatmeal cookie. It was great! I wish I lived closer; I'd visit this place every day if I could. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful with recommendations, the food and drinks are delicious, and the aesthetic inside is beautiful, especially with the local artwork adorning the walla. If I'm ever traveling through the area again I will make it a point to stop here again. read more

Awesome place to get some studying done. LOTS of seating, free wifi, and *AMAZING* coffee! The staff that was working when I was there were really fun. The music that was playing was also really good, but wasn't playing super loud so it didn't distract from my work. Definitely check this place out! read more

Not only a fantastic brew but the atmosphere is brand new- nothing like it in Cincy. The New York Times should do a story on how awesome this place is. Trend-setter is our hope! This coffee shop just opened around the corner of my apartment and I love it! Fast and friendly service, super chill vibe, great teas and coffees. I'm mostly impressed on the price points -- seems way cheaper than your standard coffee shop in downtown cincy, but not lacking in good quality or atmosphere whatsoever. read more

Found this place while looking for a place to work to get out of my hotel and found this gem! I instantly knew I made a great decision as I walked in hearing 90s R&B and smelling coffee. Even though I'm not a coffee drinker, the tea selections were great and fit the bill for a cloudy, chilly day in Cincinnati. The employees were extremely friendly and had great recommendations. Being in the coffee business for as long as I have, it always excites me to see a new shop to check out. Black Coffee has it all; diverse food, drinks, customers, and vibes. The customer service was excellent, and something to be desired from other shops. I will definitely be coming back to try more. ONLY complaint I have is downtown parking=no bueno. I stumbled upon this wonderful coffee shop on my morning walk and now I see myself becoming a regular. It was my first time their but the employees made me feel so warm and welcomed. Very professional and quick service. I got a triple iced almond milk latte and it was FANTASTIC. Best espresso in the city - well rounded and not acidic. I had "The Woah" - sweet & delicious I almost wished I'd gotten 2 of them I guzzled that first one so fast lol . AND that home made oatmeal carrot cake cream pie !!! Three words YASSSSSSSSSSSS !!!! I'm definitely going back I'll probably do coffee dates here with my friends the atmosphere was really relaxed and welcoming as well as the staff who were very warm and helpful.
