I live in San Jose and was driving on the 880 freeway and witnessed the driver of the security vehicle get into a road rage incident with a civilian in another vehicle. The driver was sticking his head out of the window screaming GO at the civilian. He then began to drive erratically swerving in and out of lanes almost causing multiple accidents. The security driver then pulled off to the shoulder cutting of the civilian forcing him to come to a stop on the shoulder of the freeway. The security driver got out of his car and began approaching the civilian driver. He was yelling and screaming and throwing his arms wildly in the air! I believed I was going to witness a fight on the side of the roadway. The civilian driver looked very scared and frantically but his car in reverse and was able to get out of there before the security driver approached his vehicle. Very traumatic for me to witness on my morning commute. When I called the security office to report what I witnessed the gentleman who answered the phone said he immediately knew which driver I was talking about and said the situation will be taken care of. Scary to think someone who is supposed to serve and protect is starting road rage fights on the freeway. Think twice before using this company for service.

Ami helped to coordinate installs was a total Angel because our schedule is Hectic and our project of sorting out multiple old systems, broken sensors and contacts, and a mess left by the old company (nothing was labeled or organized) required multiple visits and at odd times- I really appreciate that the installers were committed to doing everything right even though it took more equipment and time than we originally anticipated. Also love the head engineers that are familiar with lots of systems to help with random WiFi/network errors. The systems themselves are sleek and easy to use with the app. The sensors can be delayed or disabled for certain purposes. I also accidentally set off the alarm silently, they called me and the cops, and were able to call off the cops easily once confirming it was me. Lots of nice safety features to this alarm which Scott tested to make sure they worked as needed :) We compared to another well know local company that seemed a bit outdated (no app access/control) and a giant national company (expensive setup, less local, not as individualized attention). Ultimately chose safe and sound for the excellent customer service and highly recommend!

I asked how much the price would be and he said anywhere from $85 to $140. After waiting almost an hour and a half, he finally showed up at 11:10pm and told me my apt lock was "commercial" and the "driving fee" from the East Bay is $150 on its own and this lock is actually $270 -- but he'd take $180 on Zelle immediately. He then unlocked my door in about 8 seconds. Being that it was almost midnight and I'm a woman alone, I had no choice. I'm not sure why a "driving fee" would be relevant to a business that advertises itself as LOCAL. I could have called the plenty of other SF-based locksmiths and 1) not had to wait much longer than promised 2) not been pressured into a payment that was well over the price that was quoted.

He only told me the cost after the door was already opened, when I no longer had the option to refuse. This is classic price gouging and an example of deceptive business practice. A standard lockout in San Francisco is normally $120-$200, even for SmartKey models. Charging $750 without prior disclosure is unacceptable. I am requesting a partial refund and a written explanation of their pricing structure. Until then, I cannot recommend this company.
