He offers a free estimate before the work is done and more importantly, he will NOT perform extra work without authorization. I have often found many mechanics to be money hungry, they try to get as much money from the client at once. Most people do not understand the finer points of auto mechanics, so they are easy marks to take advantage of by any unscrupulous mechanic. Camano's motto is the opposite, "why would I screw you once, and then you would never come back, when I can give good service at a fair price and keep you as a client for life." And I have found this to be true over dozens of visits to Camano. Quite often Dennis will advise me not to have work done if it can safely wait, or other times he performs minor service and doesn't even send a bill. I highly recommend Camano as my only mechanic for small vehicles: cars, pickups, etc...

Newark Safety Service was honest in saying what did need to be done and what mightn't be needed. The work was completed in one day, and the prices for what was done were fair. It was not a question of who was the least expensive (although Newark Safety Service did provide the lowest cost estimate), but rather a question of who I thought would do the best work. Based on years of prior experience with Newark Safety Service, I can attest that their work is excellent and further, that they are genuinely nice guys who truly know how to fix a car. Five stars!
