We were there on the 6th celebrating two birthdays, and it was a pretty big party. Our server, Kerri, was truly one of the best servers we've ever had. We've been celebrating birthdays and other events at this location for at least five years, and we have never had a server like her. We've honestly never gone without having at least some sort of issue, and most times it felt like we were forgotten about -- but not this night. Kerri was truly exceptional. Her attention to detail was incredible, and she was somehow always one step ahead of us -- almost like she could read our minds before we even had to ask for anything. We were absolutely blown away by the level of care and service she provided. We made sure to thank her before we left, but we really can't say enough great things about her. She made our celebration feel even more special, and we're so grateful for the experience she gave our family and guests. read more

We've enjoyed this BJ's for about five years. We came for the comfortable bar and stayed for its excellent house beers, especially Hopstorm IPA. But after attending three of its beer dinners, I wish BJ's would give those events the same attention it gives its regular dining room. The September 14 Oktoberfest dinner cost $45 per person when booked in advance and included five food courses and six beers. BJ's decorated the long communal table beautifully, right down to the little pumpkins. Guests poured their own tastings from bottles set along the table, which let us try a little of each and revisit the ones we liked. More beer was available when requested. A way to rinse the one glass used all evening would improve the tasting. The food was plentiful, but the kitchen's execution was disappointing. The pretzel arrived cool. My broccoli cheddar soup tasted good but contained tough, woody broccoli stem. The wedge salad was wet, limp and dominated by red onion. Sal's Brewhouse Chicken was the best course--good flavor, tender asparagus and a generous portion--but it arrived warm rather than hot, and the chicken was somewhat tough. The strawberry shortcake Pizookie arrived with completely melted ice cream and a soggy, sludgy cookie underneath. Food served at the proper temperature is a basic expectation, even at a prepaid group dinner. Service had the same problem we've seen at previous beer dinners: too much work assigned to too few people. As far as we could tell, two servers were handling beer, delivering each course to the entire table, clearing plates and responding to requests from roughly 18-24 guests. They worked hard, and I don't fault them. They needed help when each course came out and when the dishes were cleared. A large tray of dirty dishes crashed on its way out near the end of this dinner; remarkably, we witnessed a similar mishap at a previous one. BJ's has the experience and staff to serve a group this size far more smoothly. The event also needs someone who can guide the tasting. We received a card naming the beers, but learned little about their flavors or why each was paired with its course. The host had to speak over the restaurant music and was difficult to hear. Turning down the music and giving the host a microphone--or simply a brief, useful introduction to each pairing--would make this feel like a beer dinner rather than a group meal with bottles on the table. Most puzzling, nobody has asked us for feedback after any of the three dinners. There are straightforward fixes here: have enough staff available for course delivery and clearing, check plates before they leave the kitchen, and ask guests what worked. I'm writing this because we *want* the dinners to succeed. We'll continue coming to BJ's for Hopstorm, the comfortable bar, and good values like the weekday $13 Pizookie Meal Deal--especially the excellent Southern Fried Chicken. Happy hour and occasional gift-card bonuses are worthwhile, too. The $45 beer dinner provides plenty of food and beer, and friends make it a fun night. But after three attempts, I can't recommend the dinner itself without serious reservations. BJ's has everything it needs to make these events much better. read more

This was a girls night after working all week!! I called ahead and asked if I can bring my own champagne bottle since it was a gift for Christmas. The person said yeah and that there was no cork fee. That's awesome!! I live BJs since California so i was happy to bet there. They always have one of the best Rieslings château Saint Michelle. We all ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared. Everything was so delicious. The ahi flatbread was my favorite. But the potstickers and calories were fire. And we killed that mixed sampler. The drinks were fun!! Yes, it's a chain, but the beers are actually pretty good, the atmosphere is lively, and there are TVs everywhere with games on, so it's a fun spot to hang out without it feeling boring or stuffy. This has become my absolute favorite place to watch a sporting event. Yes, there are sports bars that are more lively or that have better drink specials, but I have yet to find one that has such excellent service, easy to view TVs, a pleasant crowd, and food that is pretty darn good. And don't get me started about their Pizookie desserts. I have tried several, and they ran from outstanding to decadent. Not a single one I would not be happy with. A lot of times they only order apps. I have tried many and the shrimp is the absolute best but the nachos are good and the combination platter is outstanding. When watching the football game, these appetizers are the perfect comfort food to get you through the first half. The second half is the opportunity to try one of the meals. On non game days, I go with the unlimited soup and salad which comes with the mini Pizookie. I choose the chili and for a small up charge I'll often get a bread bowl for the first serving. Well, I prefer my chili a little spicier, their recipe is very tasty and is among the better versions served in restaurants that I have been to. Went for a late Valentine's Day dinner with my wife and daughter and we were sat immediately which was amazing. The ambience was perfect for the occasion with low lights and good 90s music. Our waitress was great as well, she brought our order quick and was very attentive if we needed anything. We had the avocado egg rolls and the sticky ribs as appetizers. The ribs were delicious and the egg rolls were ok, not my favorite. As an entree I ordered the deep dish ziti and it was very flavorful! I love the combination of tomato sauce and cheese. About five years ago, I had a less than great visit, and despite that, I decided to give this location another try. Unfortunately, nothing has improved since then. The service was acceptable, but the food was quite disappointing. I ordered a bacon ranch flatbread appetizer, which tasted like it had been microwaved. For the main course, I chose the Atlantic Salmon, which was overcooked and was a very small portion. The rice served alongside was stale and clumpy, clearly not fresh. When we brought this to the waitress's attention, she seemed embarrassed by the quality. While the bar atmosphere is nice for having a beer and chatting, the food quality is unacceptable. I've been here over ten times and have never had a smooth experience--there is always something wrong with the check or some kind of issue. Every visit, the servers disappear for 10+ minutes at a time and are nowhere to be found when you actually need them. We were here 2 days ago on Saturday to stop for lunch. This was our first time here. Considering it was midday on a Saturday, I was surprised by how empty the place was. We got our pick of seating, so we sat in a comfy booth. They have piped in music, which was somewhat loud, but we could still hold a conversation. The decor is done beautifully in a lot of wood beams and window sills. I liked it because it felt like I was at a large ski lodge in the mountains. I ordered the French Dip sandwich with a scoop of white cheddar mash. It came with Cole slaw and au jūs. I was disappointed that the Beef was on the dry side and didn't seem seasoned. I tried using the table salt, but it was stuck and wouldn't come out of the shaker. A French baguette would really improve the sandwich as the bread that was used melted in the au jūs and fell apart. It was very messy. I love French dips, but I didn't fall in love with this one. The mash was bland and could've used some seasonings also. The Cole Slaw was good. This was the best cole slaw that I have tasted in a long time. I couldn't eat the other half of my sandwich and took it home for our chihuahuas. My daughter ordered the Kickin Chickin with sweet potato fries, sauces, and bread. She said that her meal could've used more seasoning and was just ok. Our server, Andrew, was very nice and helpful. He recommended the Smores dessert to us. It has a Ghiradelli chocolate bottom cookie, marshmallows, Graham crackers, and yummy vanilla ice cream. Wow, it was delicious!! We split it as there was enough for two people. All in all, we would go back and try other meal selections as we liked the ambiance of BJ's. It is a nice, clean place with a cozy but fun feel. Terrible experience. Our order was messed up multiple times, and after waiting 25+ minutes, we were told our replacement pizza would take even longer. What made it worse was the way we were treated afterward. The manager attempted to make us pay for the pizza we didn't order when we were told to have it for FREE while waiting on our actual order. Then a server who wasn't even assigned to our table approached us, told us to "calm down," used vulgar language toward us, and was extremely disrespectful. We were all minors, and this behavior was completely unacceptable. As a server myself, I would never treat customers this way. My guys were in great form tonight with their boneless and bone in $5 wing night plus the Heat and the Panthers playing. Hubby had $13 Pazookie Special with endless soup and salad, broccoli, cheddar soup, & Wedge Salad. My son had the boneless wings, and I had the Philly Steak sandwich with fries. First and foremost I must recognize, Ronnie our server. Ronnie is just phenomenal and truly dedicated to your establishment by making sure the customers have everything they need and want. He smiled the entire time in-spite our family walking in close to your closing time (10:10pm). The appetizers were exactly that, appetizing. The food is so yuuumy. There is nothing we ordered that was not equally delicious. Everything was placed in our dishes with an art form, and the meals were pipping hot. Our server Ivan gets 5 stars because he greeted us instantly, was very nice & our food & drinks came out perfect. Once my food was dropped off I was expecting to see Ivan to order a second round of drinks for both of us & to let him know we would be getting the check soon. No one approached our table after my meal was delivered, except a server walked past us and asked us if we needed our check or dessert menu. I informed her I didnt need the check because I was paying via the app. The app ended up not letting me pay and she never came back. I approached the host stand after about 20 min of waiting and the hostesses asked where I was sitting and once I said table 217 and that my server was Ian, they quickly got me a manager. He was kind and understanding regarding the meal that came out cold and the replacement came after the others finished their dinners and wasn't what was ordered. He offered dessert and when we respectfully declined, he removed the meal and applied a discount. The waitress could've been more attentive to the situation, she left it up to the manager and we didn't see too much of her. They had football on and it was a pretty good vibe. The food was okay, I ordered the sirloin with white cheddar mashed potatoes (yummy!) and garlic mixed vegetables (literally only got broccoli and 3 small pieces of red pepper). This has become a go-to spot for us when we're in the area due to their great beers and food selection. My favorite menu items are: The Prime Rib special - they have it on Saturdays, and I think Sundays too after 3 or 4pm. Bartenders are good and serve up original beers made by BJ's. There's a good selection of them and we always find something good to try. They have guest taps as well. It's always chill there when we go on the weekends and sit at the bar for a pint and some food. Also their bowls are really good, I've had their salmon and quinoa bowl and it's a winner. One positive thing was that the host told us our table would take 25-30 minutes, but it was ready right away, which we appreciated. To drink, I had the mango spicy margarita. It was good, but it didn't taste like mango. However, it was definitely spicy and I loved that it had pieces of jalapeño in it. As an appetizer, I wanted the Ahi Poke, but they had just run out. Instead, I ordered the chili crunch potstickers, which were good, and the sauce on the side was tasty. I also ordered the burger sliders with fries. The burgers were a bit dry but tasted better with the added pickle. However, the lettuce wasn't fresh, and the fries didn't seem very fresh either. Additionally, I was given a dirty knife.
