My husband had the poutine with brisket (pictured), he ate most of it, but when asked for his thoughts on it he said the brisket seemed to have more pieces of fat than actual meat. The Mac and cheese had the right amount of creaminess and the noodles were cooked to the right amount of tenderness to keep it from tasting like it's been sitting all day, but it seemed very bland and needed salt to be enjoyable. The pickles were very good. It took nearly thirty minutes to receive our food, but our server was very prompt in welcoming us and getting drinks to the table. They were also very friendly when my little one didn't want to stay seated and kept thinking the ATM was her personal computer, the struggle was real after being strapped in a car seat for the last 1.5 hours. There is a popcorn machine that offers free popcorn and a couple different seasoning options to top it with. My kids enjoyed the popcorn while we waited for our food. When I asked my kids what they thought of our new restaurant find, my middle daughter (10) commented on how the bartender was very loud and talked a lot. She could be heard regardless of which end of the restaurant she was on. I noticed the same thing, but thought maybe it was just me. We were fed, but probably won't return. I was stuffed. Everything tasted great with that original bbq sauce flavor. What an unexpected surprise to find such a cool bbq joint in a quaint little community.
