all i had was cheese curds to go, so i'm not sure how it translates to the rest of the menu, but the curds were some of the best i've had - crispy and hot and squeaky without being greasy at all! the ranch isn't homemade, but it is Ken's, so in my opinion that's the best store-bought option. i'd definitely check 'em out for other menu items next time i'm in town. read more

Nutz Deep II - cheese curds and ranch - Burgers Near Me - Marshfield, Wisconsin

5+ stars. This place is amazing. I was there an early January, the weather wasn't very nice so there was not very many people out. Not a lot of places open in Marshfield on Sunday night or Monday night. I went both nights. I had steak and shrimp on Sunday night. I was a little leery about getting a steak at a bar and grill, but it was quite delicious. It was a lot of food for a very reasonable price. Nice selection of beer on tap and in bottles. They have some nice bourbon there as well. They have an incredible tap handle collection. It's almost like a beer. Tap handle museum. It looks to be fairly freshly renovated inside. Clean modern bathrooms. Friendly service. TVs. Decent food. I'll be back. read more

Great burger and fries and great service and good atmosphere plenty of parking clean and cold beer

First off, the name is pretty great! There is a lot of parking outside. When you walk inside, you go up this ramp and then all the tables are gonna be spread out. It's a lot more roomy than you think. On the walls there's a lot of sports paraphernalia and a huge wall of beers that they offer here. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. The chicken was nice and crispy fried and I ordered onion rings with it because I do like the fries, but I really wanted something else. I also had a seasonal beer. I am honestly not sure what it was called, but it was amazing very flavorful and perfect temperature. My kids had two burgers and chicken tenders, which were all very hot and well-made. I do appreciate that this place had cups with lids on them since it made my kids drinking experience a lot easier on them. Overall, very clean atmosphere, fast service, and great food! read more

Of course if you drive by a place called Nutz Deep you have to stop in for lunch. We were in town visiting family and had heard this was a good spot for bar food. Our waitress was really attentive. She had good recommendations when my in laws had questions about various items on the menu. For my meal I got the chicken strip basket with honey mustard as the dipping sauce. They were a little more dense than I anticipated but we're good. The fries were really crispy and the honey mustard had a perfect amount of sweetness. I wish they listed their sauces on their menu so I could have seen other potential sauce options. My fiancé ordered the cheese curd burger. He really enjoyed it. I tried a bit and love the sauce it had, but the richness of all the cheese on it was overpowering in some bites. My in laws split a sandwich, so they brought it out cut in half on two plates, each with a big mound of fries. I thought this was a really nice touch, because it's sometimes challenging splitting up a meal. read more

Food was delicious, area was spacious. Reasonably priced, fast service and good experience.

We had supper at Nutz last night (a group of women co-workers). Our food was delicious and served hot! We had the most amazing young man for our waiter. He was quick to wait on us, refilled waters without us asking, checked on us multiple times to make sure we were all doing well. He stopped to visit and "thanked" us. Dylan was our waiter and did a fabulous job!! read more

Great atmosphere, service, and food. Unique food dishes that are well prepared. Beer selection is truly above average.

The breakfast is awesome. Lots of food and fast. We usually get the omelets. The salads, burgers, and fish fry are also some of our favorites. The nachos can feed a lot of people. Mixed drinks are good and they have tons of beer choices. Or get the sampler and have fun with picking out a bunch to try. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for casual dining and want a drink as well. Nutz deep wins local awards each year for best something (like best burger, etc ). I can see why. You won't regret trying this place out. read more

Really gr8 diamond in the rough!! Super friendly staff, always smiling and looking like they really enjoy their job! Last evening I ordered the blue cheese burger rare with fries. Couldn't believe how fasr it arrived and cooked to perfection! I'm here again for their breakfast and getting the same awesome service and delicious food! read more

Place was crazy busy on a Monday night, which surprised me. Lots of tap beers available and choices and the food was real good. I'll definitely try it again. Not sure what the name refers to, although it sounds profane; the vibe is anything but. read more

I tried calling in my order and was told I had to pay with credit card over the phone. I was not comfortable with that so I had to go inside and order from the bar. I was really craving a juicy greasy tasty bar burger but unfortunately I was not satisfied. Although, the pictures online make it very enticing, the bacon cheeseburger and fries I ordered were cold and flavorless. Maybe it was just a bad night? I would like to try again but I don't want to be left disappointed when I can go to Culver's and get a great burger every time. If you want a place to go with your friends for a drink it seemed like a fun and friendly environment. read more

I absolutely love!! This was my first time ever and the downstairs with the pool table, music and games was definitely a vibe. I'm from California so I didn't know what to expect. Will definitely be here again when I visit. read more

Great food. Ordered the Steak Philly and it was delicious. Last time we were there, we ordered the nachos and they were huge and really good. Great service, good prices, and pull tabs! read more

Cool little bar. Drinks are cheap. The white cheddar cheese dip that comes with the Tavern Pretzels is SO good.

Nothing short of amazing. From young to old. An Absolute blessing to stumble upon. Every appetizer was 5 star. Burger were the best I've ever seen and huge selection of drinks. Game night was a hit and I will have yo find my way back just for this restaurant if nothing else read more

Great vibes and many locals gather there, esp. Friday fish fry. Good craft beers on tap.

Very good food and service! We were here due to a family member being hospitalized at Marshfield and everyone loved their prime rib burgers! Thanks! read more

HOLY SMOKES GO HERE! This breakfast was FANTASTIC.. yummy scrambler, biscuits and gravy, loaded tots. THE BLOODY MARY was one of the BEST! We couldn't say more good things about this place. There are so many cool beer taps all over the walls & it is a very clean, open environment. Also, our waitress Cody was awesome & personable with every table. Told us some of her favorites & recommendations to help us decide since there was so many good choices on the menu! read more

Excellent fish and chips and fried shrimp, wonderful eating experience, generous portions

Great food. Had the brisket burger and cheese curds. Some of the best cheese curds I've ever had

Great food and ambiance were great. Service was so so and my son received the wrong burger. What he ate was great, would go back!

On a recommendation from a store clerk down the road, we ended up here for lunch. Wow! My husband and I each had burgers, he a bacon cheeseburger and I a Jack Daniels burger that comes topped with caramelized onions, jalapeños, and pepper Jack cheese slathered in BBQ sauce. The burgers were the perfect size and the charbroiled flavor was unmatched. The service was provided by Alyssa and was extremely fast and attentive. read more

Best burgers in town, pizzas are good, too. Not a fan of the fish fry at all, no flavor.

Most important for me, the fact that this is an older building but it is handicapped accessible. Wife ordered Tuesday taco special - 3 steak tacos (prime rib) and she said they were awesome. I ordered the blue cheese burger and it was very good. Only complaint was that my vodka and diet soda was $10.00 each. Her margarita was $5.00 so be careful what you order. They said mine were doubles but sure didn't taste like it. read more

Great bar iconoclastic Wisconsin! The name, although offputting is funny. I sat at the bar. I had some of the most delicious cheese curds that I've ever had anywhere, including in Wisconsin. Lightly battered deliciously fresh curds with the saltiness that you love. Also had a Swiss mushroom burger and I've had many great ones. This was definitely on the list delicious great meat perfectly cooked and of course had to have a Leinie creamy dark!! read more

Excellent food in an excellent atmosphere. Waitstaff are always friendly, fun, and helpful.

This bar looked like it would have been a good choice to have a good time, but, it was a complete dud! We reserved a table for 630pm, had to get our own drinks and wanted to get food but the staff could care less that we were there. After 3 attempts to get someone to act like they wanted our business, a server came over to take an order from a table of 10 (we had a table of 9) who arrived 30mins after us. POOR CUSTOMER SVC and POOR MANAGEMENT! Save your money and go anywhere else! read more

Nutz Deep II - the menu for the restaurant - Burgers Near Me - Marshfield, Wisconsin

Besides the ridiculously bad taste, sexist, Central Wisconsin redneck, awful name, this place is a great place to grab a burger! The burger I had was perfecrly done and had a pile of onion straws a few inches thick. The waffle and thin fries were crisp and tasty! Nice place, full bar, great service. Food is hot and quick whether it's Friday or Tuesday night. read more

Popped into to thus local hang out. Super packed due to trivia night but found a seat at the end of the bar. Ordered my first order of Wisconsin cheese curds. They came out fast and were fresh and hot with a side of ranch for dipping. Enjoyed a localish beer new glarus spotted cow; good recommendation from the bartender! Per bartender suggestion I order some wings 50 cent special. These things were top 3 of my wing history. Super crunchy and perfectly cooked with juicy meat for dipping in some amazing hot garlic sauce. I got 6 thinking I would get a meal. However, that was wrong! I ordered another 8 because they were so good. Sitting at the end of the bar next to the server run I was able to see the menu items come out as they paraded them to the tables. Everything looked really really good. The locals definitely know what's going on by coming into Nutz deep. Plus, how can you not frequent a place with that name!!! read more

We had a large group of hockey players and parents. Our waitress handled the entire group, mostly on her own, and it was the best service the team has ever had. We had to bring a hamburger bun for one player with a dairy allergy because the buns contain dairy, but the service was speedy and accurate - a tough thing for a group of 30! read more

My first experience at this place. I walk in and I was the only one eating but it said "wait to be seated." A tall woman with curly black hair said I could sit at the bar since it was only me. "They're still some sits seats there." Ok . There were not seats at the bar. Completely full. But a counter in front of the bat was open. 2 people were at one end and 10ft down another 2 people ordered food. Now, they're 4 chairs in between and you sit in front of a white board. I will emphasize that there were CHAIRS there. The area looked like you can just sit up at would be bar area expect your looking at a white board! . People come in and get served. I'm patiently waiting for 30 minutes. Seriously, no one came to say "hi". I'm just sitting looking at a white board. I would look at the waiters but they walked by so fast. After 20-25 minutes of looking at this white board and not being waited on, I decided to play with the white board. I'm irritated and board. I started scratching off the writing on the board because it was in permanent ink. I had to use my nail. I got away with this for maybe 5 minutes. (The bar did get a little quiet). This scrawny little blonde haired guy comes up to me and yells, "could you please mot do that"! He left to deliver food to someone. . When he came back I told him I've been sitting here for 1/2 hour. He said, "well this isn't even a place to sit to be served". Lets just think about that for a moment... I'm at a bar. They said I could sit at the bar but there wasn't room to sit at the actual bar. There are chairs sitting there. Now when I think, what I would do with a chair? A person would sit on said chair, correct? No one said "hello", " would you like something to drink"? NOTHING! I got up to leave and he said "that's ok" and gave me permission to sit there and take my order. . Fat chance! I walked out. It's too bad, I heard they have a great fish fry. read more

Went there for lunch today and arrived at 11:30. Ordered the bacon Avocado Burger. Did not get my food until 12:45. The waitress was very accommodating and kept apologizing. When I finally got my food there was no avocado. By the time I caught the waitress who is very busy and said something I had eaten half my food because I needed to go and had waited so long already. The waitress said something to the manager who gave no compensation or regard to the situation because I had already eaten more than half of my burger. The waitress realize that something should be done because she asked about it and when the manager wouldn't do anything she told me not to leave her a tip to compensate me. It was clearly not her fault and I told her that and left her a $5.50 tip anyway. It should not be the responsibility of your employees to retain and satisfy customers. When clearly it is not their fault and completely out of their control. Guess who just lost a customer and earned a bad review. Way to go! read more

With a name like that, how can you not stop? I was in town for work and took a new hire here after we found it on Yelp. Didn't even read any reviews, went strictly based on the name. I have to say that it was a much nicer, cleaner place than I expected. Service was satisfactory, and the food was worth it. I ordered a Reuben, which stood up to my high corned beef standards. My teammate ordered the cheese curd burger and it was HUGE. It looked delicious and she said it was amazing. We also orders some fried pickles as an appetizer which were also delicious. Wish I lived in the area so I could make his my bar! read more

If you can get past the name, then come here for a fantastic burger. I got my bacon cheeseburger a little rare and it was perfect. The meat is as good as Five Guys and Culver's. Instead of fries I picked the shoestring onion rings and am planning on returning. I am trying to think of why this is not an immediate 5 star.... I will have to come back and see if they are consistent. read more

"boss lady" was not reasonable at all. After eating the Jack Danials burger, my brother thought it be a good Idea to try the pounder burger. He was within a bite or two when the 30 minutes went off. Instead of being decent And throwing in a t-shirt for my brothers, in which my opinion and the opinion of the others that where out to eat with us my brother earned the t-shirt and it would a much better look for Nutz deep to throw a t-shirt his way! Not to mention food was sub-par! our waitress on the other hand was very good and was always there to keep us well supplied with beverages! read more

Very cool little bar. Stopped in for dinner the other night and actually returned the next night. The bartender and servers were really nice, although they did slightly mess up my order on night 2. It's ok though, not a huge deal. The burger was excellent! Cooked perfectly and delicious. The wings I was not a fan of as they have a lot of breading. To each their own. I shall definitely return when in town again. 4 stars for friendliness and quality of food. read more
