    Peanut butter & caramel cupcakes

Oh my goodness these cupcakes were Devine. If you're in the area, check out this delicious bakery. The salted caramel cupcake had a surprise filling of caramel deliciousness. The icing and cake were fabulous.

Really stoked to have a bakery this side of the Rio Grande. I was looking for a sweet, simple fun treat to bring to my Pops house for his 70th birthday. Everyone in the family is on their little detoxes right now, so I didn't want to totally overthrow them from their paths...a dozen mini cuppies in a variety of flavors seemed like just the ticket. I phoned in my order a couple days in advance *I read that it's wise to do that since they often sell out*. I intended to deliver the sweets to my Pops on Sunday, but since the bakery is closed on Sundays, I made arrangements to pick up Saturday afternoon. They suggested I leave out on the counter overnight, as opposed to putting in the fridge, so they didn't dry out. The counter service was friendly and helpful, I ended up taking home a few regular sized cuppies home to treat my kids for behaving so well this week. The flavors were interesting, fun, colorful, and tasted GREAT! I just might have to order a few dozen minis for my son's birthday next month!

Delicious and fun treats here! More than just cupcakes too. They have homemade marshmallows, cookies, and cakes. Even gluten free options! I love the unique flavor combinations. This time I ordered almond joy and carrot cake. Was bummed out that the carrot cake didn't have more obvious grated carrot chunks and that it really didn't taste like carrot cake but rather just a spice cake. The carrot cake didn't wow me.

The cake we purchased was originally supposed to be used as a grooms cake for my daughters wedding. Due to the COVID nightmare, the wedding reception was forced to move to the fall for out of state travelers. Because of this, my wife had this cake altered from the original design to use in the informal ceremony TOMORROW. The changes were made over 1 month out from the date of delivery. She went to the bakery and spent considerable time with the owner explaining what we wanted, and that the wedding colors were taupe and crimson, but the cake should feature a topper of Han and Leah, with the script "I love you....I know". It was supposed to be an semi-elegant but fun design with these elements. As the ceremony won't be formal, we were hoping to keep things light hearted. I picked the cake up today, a day prior to the event and was greeted with a cake that was clearly intended for a five year olds birthday party. Somehow the wedding colors of taupe and crimson got translated to black buttercream. That should be a fun site when people eat it. Black teeth for everyone! And who the hell makes a wedding cake BLACK? Artistic license is one thing, but how is black even a thought for a wedding cake? The next eye grabber is the cardboard cutout STAR WARS lettering in gold on the side. Pretty much looked like it was cut off of a cereal box with scissors and slapped on the side so we wouldn't be confused by the theme of the cake. Now we can address the Han and Leah wedding topper as seen. Yes...clearly printed from an HP printer, stuck to fondit and jammed into the top of the cake like an umbrella in a Mai-Tai drink. Oh yeah...same for the ridiculous heart cut out of fondit with the text written in what looks to be sharpie. Classy. The last element dropped randomly on top is the Millennium Falcon. It can best be described as an Easter Peep that melted and was painted silver. I honestly thought it was there by mistake till my wife pointed out what it was supposed to be. Bottom line for the whole mess is I got to spend the day prior to the wedding running all over Abq trying to find decorating supplies to fix an 8" cake we paid nearly $100 for. We called another bakery and asked if they could help repair the cake, and they actually guessed where we had purchased it from before we told them. LOL. Fortunately I decorated cakes in high school 30 years ago, and was able to find decent tools and supplies at Hobby Lobby to somewhat repair the disaster. Unfortunately, it was far too late to do anything about the black buttercream base they had used. Our friends will just have to blow torch that off their teeth when they get home. But I'm still a little chuffed I had to spend three hours working on a cake we had paid for. Buyer beware with custom cakes from this bakery. Random trinkets plopped on the top of your cake is their idea of custom. Hopefully you won't get the ones their kids help them make on your cake. The biggest day of my daughters life has already been crushed by quarantine and social isolation. I was simply hoping to give her the best day I could with what is possible in these trying times. Lesson learned with Bittersweet.

Oatmeal raisin and Anise -sugar cookies - The image shows two cookies wrapped in clear plastic. The top cookie appears to be an oatmeal raisin cookie with a rough texture and visible raisins. The bottom cookie is a sugar cookie with a smooth surface and a light brown color. Both cookies are individually wrapped in plastic and are positioned on a white surface.

On New Year's Eve, a beautiful pastry chef rang my door bell. In her hand was a special gift that my Seattle family ordered. Every item was fresh, innovative and tasty. I highly recommend this bakery.

We saw this place driving around and decided to stop by and try their cupcakes. I've been back a few times since and the cupcakes have been delicious every time. We ordered a vanilla/raspberry cake and some GF cupcakes for our baby shower and there we no leftovers. However, between the raspberry filling and the frosting, the cake was a little too sweet and some of us scraped some off the cake, so I'd recommend making the filling between the layers not so thick or perhaps asking about not-so-sweet filling options. Overall, I loved the cake and it was exactly what I asked for.

This place is a no go for me. We went in the afternoon a few minutes before they closed. There cupcake pricing is cheap I'll give them that, but the cupcakes were not good at all to us. We ordered strawberry, vanilla, and lemon chello. We first had a hard time pulling the wrapper off the cupcakes because the cupcake was so hard and it was so stuck together. When I bit in to the cupcake it was not moist at all and the flavoring did not taste good the icing also left a bad after taste in my mouth. Even if it is the end of the day you should always make sure your products are fresh or kept fresh. This will not be the cupcake spot for me and my family.

    Cupcake anyone??

Tasty treats and their cupcakes are also moist with real icing. A great range of creative flavors as well.

I ordered many treats for myself and bestie. One pastry that caught my eye was the classic butter croissant dough with activated charcoal, glazed blood oranges, and blood orange curd. I'm not sure if this is only a seasonal item. The colors are beautiful! It was quite sweet, however the blood orange tartness aided in the flavors giving it a bit of tartness. The Boston Cream Cruffin looked mighty tasty. It's made with their signature croissant dough rolled up and filled with vanilla pastry cream and dipped in dark chocolate ganache. Friendly service and faces always warm up a cold morning, and we definitely got that at Los Ranchos Bakery. The menu is simple and the baked goods look great! We ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and green chile cheddar bagel, a lavender latte, and a red chile mocha. A cherry tart and a cinnamon roll to go. The drinks were, unfortunately, missing a few ounces and flavor. The sandwiches were smaller than I expected. The bagel had a hint of heat and chile. It was perfectly toasted and held the egg and bacon quite well. The bacon was crispy and the egg was well done. It was filling in the end. The baked goods will have to wait until tonight but I've had their scones before and they were excellent! I'm betting on excellence on the tart and cinnamon roll. Overall, this is a nice local coffee shop that can be a great alternative to a chain coffee shop. The space is nice for some work or chatting with friends and family. Don't bet on the coffee, but definitely go for the baked goods!
