Great food, I had the Special Alfredo with shrimp and artichoke and it was amazing, and my mom had the teriyaki chicken equally as good , very clean establishment , great service from our server Leana, We were seated quickly and the staff were working together,I will be back a lot more read more

Based on this visit, this establishment deserves all the stars they can get. Right from start the service team was welcoming and hospitable as they are supposed to be. My brother and I went later in the evening maybe around 9, so when presented menus we were given their "late-night" menu. Having worked in the service industry I appreciated this a lot because it helps to make things easier on the kitchen staff if a big wave of customers were to come it. It keeps the quality of the food high and at a standard! The food was delightful, a nice twist on modern Asian cuisine. The service staff from the bartenders, waiting staff and the bussers was superb, recommended items and sold us on them. They knew their products and that is something that will help a business go far. Great training on that. This establishment seems as if it is a bit advanced for Forest Grove but I think that it's something Forest Grove needs. A little modernization, something new. I LOVED IT! Overall we enjoyed our visit and we would return again with more family and friends the next time. read more

Love this place! Came in a few months back and tried a bunch of the small plates. Wonderful! I was there about a month ago, and everything is still just as good! Never been disappointed. They even have a small bar for drinks. It's nice to have a place like this around! read more

Location is great right in downtown Forest Grove. Food is always great! Great prices and service.

Eat here at least once a month and it never disappoints! I could live on the gyoza, Parmesan tempura green beans and tempura avocado!! Try the ginger spritzer and the ginger tea...! read more

They were having a fundraiser for Gaston grad night so I went there to eat along with a lot of other people in support, and then they said they didn't make any profit. It was very busy when I went there, so I would not use this place as a fundraiser and I will never eat there again. They didn't give any money to the school! read more

Only a few inside and service started slow but improved! Absolutely yum! The deep fried green beans were farm fresh and exploded in your mouth. Can't recall the name of the dish but it was a spicy noodle plate that I'm craving... perfect for after a Pacific U game... read more

Only came for cocktails but the atmosphere was relaxing. Would be a good place for date night. Not too loud, dim lighting and the food menu looked good. Will definitely come back for dinner. read more

By far my favorite restaurant- Bites has amazing food and delicious beverages! With reasonable prices and excellent staff, this is the ideal option for any date night or family dinner spot. The front of house crew are always inviting and prompt + the kitchen staff definitely know what they're doing because the food is always 10/10. I would certainly recommend this hot spot to anyone and everyone, you will not regret it! read more

Growing pains are over! Updated menu and service was spot on. Variety is excellent and so is the food!

there are a couple of dishes I could absolutely adore & eat weekly if the promise of those meals was realized. it's the promise that gets 3. if bites were to fully execute them, I'd petition the pope for a special 6 yelp rating. fish & chips: outstanding flavor and perfectly crisp (when I get it fast enough as I order takeout 99.5% of the time). the big flop is that kimchi tartar. it's mostly flavorless with an oily yet acidic afterbite and leaves a film I want a napkin to wipe out of my mouth (so glad I was at home the first time I tried the sauce cuz that's exactly what I did. that coulda been embarrassing in public). teriyakidon: utterly delicious combo of grilled chicken, stir fried cabbage and rice with a "drizzle" of teriyaki sauce. that sauce is heavenly but nowhere near enough of it, especially when half the takeout container is filled with plain white sticky rice and barely enough of that absolutely devine cabbage to give you a taste let alone mix with the rice to give it some flavor. the drizzle of teriyaki sauce should be a crime punishable by making it law to provide a bucket sized monkey dish full of that heaven. read more

Bites is my all time favorite in forest grove. The Asian fusion is great, you can go traditional all the way to a touch of Asian. I try and order something new every time and have yet to become disappointed. Excellent flavors. Would highly recommend. The new cauliflower sweet/sour is awesome! read more

Bites Restaurant - Tacos and pork belly! - New American Near Me - Forest Grove, Oregon

Wonderful restaurant with great owners and staff. The reclaimed wood interior along with local artistic flair is a beautiful replace inside and out. It's definitely worth a stop for food, drinks, or both. The kalbi tacos are amazing! read more

Tried Bites on a Sunday mid-afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. We had the Waltz brewery stout on tap which was very good; we wanted to try the amber, but the keg had just run out. They only have three taps; wish they had more, but they are only a couple blocks from Waltz. I also had a Moscow mule, which was light and frsh and had a blueberry garnish with huge berries, and was great for a sunny day. We tried two appetizers; the calamari and the tuna tataki (seared tuna). The calamari was very fresh, not chewy at all, and came with an aoli for dipping. Light breading, not heavily seasoned; the best calamari we've found so far on the west side. It also came with some greens with their mango vinaigrette dressing which was so tasty; we may have to get the calamari salad with that dressing next time we go. The tuna was melt in your mouth, very fresh, with a sesame crust and light soy dipping sauce. Can't wait to come back and try more food! read more

Everything I've had here is either good or great. The bulgogi burger and kimchi fries are crave worthy, and the salad I got on the side with mango dressing was also super tasty. The carbonara was a bit bland, but I'm keen to come back and try everything else. Plus it's kind of awesome having such a gem in Forest Grove. read more

Andrew (manager), Autumn, Alexis and Chris welcomed us each of the 4 times we ate there in 3 days. It was THAT good! Fabulous service, gorgeous presentation, and yummy food -- and we tried nearly everything. You can't go wrong! Then, they surprised Brad with a free desert because his car won best in class at the show -- something totally unexpected and awesome! read more

Me and my bf went Here on our anniversary and we really liked it ! Small portions but delish

Great restaurant - inviting, casual and friendly. The food was delicious. Some local brews; though the Session brews are a waste of tap space. Vegetarian options were good :) read more

Disappointing, This place has so much potential... I want to start by saying our server was fantastic! she got us our drinks and appetizers right away. The appetizers where tasty amd hit the spot, but the drinks were sub par. My wife's drink came out in a dirty cup to start. And to top it off, we waited an hour and a half for our entrees!!! Totally unacceptable! After sitting there for two hours we had to take our food to go. We asked to speak with the manager, he came out and was only making excuses and totally unapologetic. There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant and he put "to-go" orders in ahead of the people who were actually in the restaurant. The drink options were minimal because they where out of a lot of items, my wife's meal was incomplete because they didn't have all the ingredients. This guy has no idea how to run a restaurant and needs to be replaced in my opinion. You can forget any chance of us returning, unless the owner of this restaurant acts quickly and replaces this manager.... As a business owner myself, I would fire this guy as fast as I could and find someone with some actual customer service skills, if I hope to keep my doors open. read more

Very good place in Forest Grove that could be so much more! Their vegetable are out of a bag and not fresh. The service is ok and the food is really good. With a few small tweaks this place could be much much more. I hope they continue step it up. All in all it's a great spot. read more

Bites Restaurant - The bar - New American Near Me - Forest Grove, Oregon

My visit was great. I wasn't sure how the food would turn out because it's an interesting combination of American/European foods with asian foods. My dish, consisting of artichoke, rice noodles, and Alfredo sauce, was great. I also tried the sweet potato fries which were super good, probably some of the best sweet potato fries I've had. I also enjoyed the aioli dipping sauce it came with. My only complaint is that they don't have that many vegetarian/vegan options. There were a few, and what I got was good, but it did not seem complete like some non-veg meals I saw. My recommendation would be to have some kind of veg patty that could be easily subbed on the burgers and then you would have way more options on the menu, some of those burgers sounded really great but as a vegetarian I obviously can't order them unless I wanted an incomplete sandwich. Also, our server was very accommodating and welcoming. read more

Soooo yummy! Bulgogi burger was on point! The service was great, presentation was really nice too! read more

Delicious. I recommend their salmon fish sticks. Also have great burgers! Will be here again and recommend to my friends. It's cute inside and friendly staff read more

Everything here was absolutely amazing. First, for cocktails, their Old Fashion is made with real sugar instead of simple syrup. For Tapas, the Ahi Guacamole was to die for. Very popular Tapa and I can see why. I had the Shrimp & Artichoke Alfredo for my entree and the garlic sauce in it was the best. Can't go wrong with any food here! read more

Poor service. over charged us and got no service till the end and was told ribs would be cheaper but marked it up 6 and took a $1 off

Weak drinks, odd menu choices and combinations. My fiancé and I came here and saw that their food was not our flavor, so we decided to just get a drink. Drinks were both more water and syrup tasting than anything and the service wasn't anything memorable. Probably wouldn't come back, definitely wouldn't recommend. read more

Generous wine pour. Menu lacking in vegetable dishes. Small plates are good, not exceptional. Service is spotty, got first entry without napkin or utensils. Happy place with everyone enjoying it. Next time I will try the burger and avoid the Asian food. read more

Delicious local food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, Bites is a great lunch and dinner choice! Restaurant was packed, but we only had to wait a couple minutes to be seated, and the wait staff were prompt and courteous! read more

I ordered today through Door Dash today and they were really quick to send me my order, but the food was terrible. The egg roll mozzarella appetizer was cold in the center and my Kai Dow was awful. The chicken was like rubber and had a bad smell. The rice was greasy and tasteless. It was not a good experience at all. I only could stomach the eggs and a little rice with kimchi. I was really disappointed with my order. read more

This place its really aesthetically pleasing I love the atmosphere there and the food it's super good , the manager it's always super nice always trying to see if you need anything , the bar you can get anything you can thing off . read more

My husband and I had been on the hunt for a good restaurant for some time.....or I should say, a good meal. We kept reading reviews and going to trendy places in PDX and we were always disappointed. Either the food was awful or it was decent, but the price left the overall impression very bitter. Then we went to Bites. You guys. This place EXCEEDED every expectation. Our waitress was so kind and helpful. We ordered tempura green beans with spicy dip and All American burgers. The appetizer was huge, and yet when it was gone, we felt sad! It was perfect tempura batter..... spicy sauce....so much more than we were expecting. And the burger????? I mean, we haven't stopped talking about it. Incredibly moist and packed with flavor. We are big time foodies and this place is our new #1. No exaggeration. Now for the best part....well the best part for a cheap-o mom of three. THE PRICE. I'm telling you, what you get for your money made me feel like I was robbing the place. Finally all the stars aligned......perfect ambiance, perfect food, perfect price. read more

Awesome fusion food with good prices and good service in a chic but warm and cozy space. Pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Forest Grove. I recommend the tacos. The hot ginger tea is slightly sweet. Seoul dumplings are good but the sauce was a little sweet. read more

Bites Restaurant - Hot ginger tea, Seoul dumplings and tacos. - New American Near Me - Forest Grove, Oregon

Apparently the service problems some have mentioned have been ironed out -- the place was nearly full early on a Saturday evening, a very cheerful sight, but there was plenty of friendly staff and we were served quickly and efficiently. (Well, a request for extra kimche took too long, but that was a very small problem.) Food -- Seoul dumplings, spicy ramen, kai dow -- all very enjoyable; good house wines reasonably priced. An interesting menu, and we'll be back to explore further. read more

I ordered some food for pick up here and while the food was just fine, I was told that I couldn't wait at the bar because it was for "VIP" only. The only people at the bar were some servers just hanging out and not working. I was not impressed with the service. read more

Finally some downtown-quality dining in Forest Grove in both food and vibe. We had the spicy ramen and garlic tonkatsu and both had layered, deep flavored broths and great flavor. Look forward to trying all of the other beautiful dishes we saw pass by. All the dishes between $8-$15... Selfishly hate to see it more crowded but please check it out so it sticks around. read more
