We made a 7:00 Tuesday dinner reservation online. We arrived on time and were promptly seated.
The place is small and filled quickly. I noticed it was mostly other English speakers around us. The two servers both spoke English, snd seemed accustomed to non-French speaking clientele.
For starters (Entrées), we ordered wine- I wish I remembered which as both were great.
My husband: Artichauts, poire, noisettes & parmesan. This is a cold dish and would have been more enjoyable if the pears had been peeled.
The bread they serve with the starter was wonderful.
For mains (Plats), we ordered:
More wine - again, I didn't make notes on these but they were great!
Me: Cordon bleu de volaille, comté & jambon Prince de Paris avec Épinards 30,00€. This was very good & different than any other chicken cordon bleu I have had. I highly recommend this.
My husband: Daube de boeuf à la Provençale avec Purée de pommes de terre. Thus was EXCELLENT! The beef was so tender- melted in your mouth. There wasn't any bit of gristle, etc. the sauce was delicious and just the right proportion for the potato puree and meat. I've been wanting to return but can't get another early reservation
They have 2 dinner seatings: 7/7:30 & 10:00/10:45. I just can't eat at 10:45.
We were too full for dessert this time so I can't say anything about that.
