They were also running an incredible lobster special for just $9.99, which we obviously had to try and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster was tender, and we even ended the night with their peanut butter pie. The atmosphere was fun, relaxing, and perfect for mid-week plans. This was actually our second time visiting this month, and we're already talking about coming back again. Great food, great experience, and great value. Conroe Lake House just keeps impressing us!

Even if you are trying to give your kitchen a chance to catch up by slowing down seating, HOW ABOUT GET BUTTS IN SEATS and drinks started? People will be much more understanding seated enjoying your views from their tables vs the crowded wait area where they can get frustrated at the wait and carry their MONEY elsewhere. You start getting money "cha-Ching" STARTED. OR YOU CAN CONTINUE WATCHING PEOPLE WALK OUT THE DOOR as I did in the first 10 minutes, you lost 4 families and it kept happening. CAN YOU SAY "LOST MONEY"??? Or if you already have enough, perhaps it's time to sell so someone else won't take their money elsewhere. Isn't it the point of having a business to make money? I'd rather make it and keep it than to watch it walk through my doors in the opposite direction. You missing an effective process AND staff. I know because this is my specialty. And I'm a rocket scientist as well and this was not rocket science. It was simple logistics & logic IMO.

This restaurant is located by the lake so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the views. Our server Collin was pretty nice and was on top of everything. Checked in on us a few times & made sure our drinks were refilled. To start, I ordered their gumbo. For our mains I got 3 pounds of crawfish with sausage & it comes with 2 potatoes & 1 corn. My BF ordered their shrimp Po-boy with French fries. & for dessert I got some beignets. I also ordered the Cajun pasta with shrimp to go. Now, I'm not gonna lie I was a little disappointed that I was overcharged for my crawfish. So they had the happy hour which you can get 2 pounds for 14 bucks. However I was charged 20.99 for 2 pounds on top of that another 7.99 for an extra pound. Okay, now I know I'm not tripping but the math ain't mathing. I didn't look at my receipt until I got home, but I'm not going to be upset over a few bucks. * Seafood Gumbo- kind of expensive for a cup of gumbo since it was 9.69 however it didn't taste bad. The sauce was on the thicker side and it wasn't salty, it had the right amount of seasoning. I would order it again. 3.5/5 * Shrimp Po-boy with fries- loved the batter and the shrimp was fried to perfection. Sauce was good too. Fries were just okay. 3.3/5 * 3 pounds of crawfish with sausage, potatoes and corn- whoever is boiling in the back knows what they're doing. The crawfish was buttery, spice level wasn't too spicy but had good amount of heat. The spicy mayo dipping sauce that was provided was delicious. Sausage was above standard. Corn was cooked nicely but the potatoes could've been boiled for another minute or two. The only criticism I have is that they need to purge their crawfish a little better. 4/5 * Cajun Pasta with shrimp- the pasta was creamy and shrimp was cooked nicely. However for an extra 5 bucks to substitute for shrimp they could've given at least 6-8 shrimps. The 4 I received was on the skimpy side. 3.4/5 * Beignets- came out piping hot. It was doughy, pillowy and had good texture. It also wasn't oily which is good. I just wish they had some sort of dipping sauce for the beignets but I ain't mad at the whip cream though. 4/5 Overall, I'll definitely come back. The inside looks nice with a beach type vibes. The patio views next to the lake was also good. Collin was a solid server. They also have a full bar as well. I'll have to order some of their cocktails next time.

What a mistake I waited so long to make! This place did not disappoint. We started with the fondue, and wow... rich, creamy, and served piping hot like molten cheese lava in a proper fondue pot. The toasted French bread cubes were perfectly dunkable, and that cheese has more pull than the President. It's pure cheesy happiness in a pot--seriously, the cure for any bad mood. The beet carpaccio was another standout: beautifully thin slices drizzled with sweet fig balsamic, topped with goat cheese crumbles and fresh microgreens. Even the beet skeptics at our table went back for seconds. Next came the strawberry goat cheese salad, and I'm officially a convert. I used to avoid fruit on salads, but this one changed my mind completely. Sweet strawberries, creamy goat cheese, and crisp greens in perfect balance. I'm already planning my next visit with grilled salmon on top. For mains we shared the chicken paillard--light, bright with lemon, and paired with dreamy whipped mashed potatoes--and the steak frites. The steak was tender and juicy, but let's be honest... those frites stole the show. Fresh-cut, double-fried, perfectly crispy and salty. I could have eaten an endless basket of them. Absolute drool-worthy. We finished the night with sharing a plate of beignets. Warm, fluffy and dusted with powdered sugar. The service was phenomenal, especially for a large group. Our server never missed a beat, and the whole team was warm and attentive. The drink menu is excellent too--great selection of beers, wines, and creative cocktails. The Napoleon was our table favorite by far. Petite Suzette has officially earned a new set of regulars. We'll be back later this week, and I can't wait to try even more. If you're anywhere near Montgomery, do yourself a favor and go in. You won't regret it!

It's a great option when you want something fast but still a little different from the usual burger spots -- just know there are a few logistical quirks that come with it. Pros: * Excellent location that makes it an easy go-to when the craving hits * Super simple menu (and that's a good thing) -- no overthinking, just sliders done right * Friendly, upbeat customer service that matches the brand's energy * Unique concept and branding that genuinely stands out Cons: * On the pricey side for sliders, especially if you're actually hungry * Exiting can be a headache during peak traffic times * Drive-thru is tight, and larger vehicles will definitely feel the squeeze Overall, Smalls Sliders delivers a fun, well-executed experience that hits the mark more often than not.

Why 5 stars? Because this was a great place to stop on my way back from Dallas…read more --- --- --- A couple days before I headed up to Dallas, I saw an Instagram ad for Smalls Sliders in Willis - I had never heard of it before. I sent it to my wife and she had seen it on social media herself. We were both intrigued and added it to our very lengthy list of places we wanted to try. Fast forward 48 or so hours, and I'm on my way home from Dallas. I ask the wife: "would you like me to stop at the new slider place and pick up some lunch?" She opts to bring the kiddo and just meet me there. On this day, a new record was set for us learning that a place exists, and going to said place. We arrive and it turns out, approximately 4,000 other people saw the same Instagram ad. The line for the drive-thru is so long that it's causing traffic to backup on 1097. Fortunately, we were dining in (aka on the covered patio), so we were both able to park right away, despite there being only a few spots. I got the sliders with bacon and thought they were great. We got some of their smauce, which is similar to Cane's sauce, as well as queso for dipping the fries in. I can't say I've ever dipped fries in queso before, but I like fries and I like queso, so I was not mad about it! I can't say we come to Willis often, but if we are ever in the area in the future, this will be on our short list!

The chips were served warm fresh and very tasty. We were presented with red warm salsa, which I love it when a salsa is served warm and a creamy tomatillo green sauce as well. Both were very flavorful, but not overpowering with heat which I loved we could've had a bowl of each for each of us. Service was attentive without being overpowering because when perusing their large menu, I could not decide what I wanted to try because I wanted a little bit of everything. Our waters and chips were so very promptly after being seated. I finally decided on the specialty dinner number two I believe, which was served with a crunchy beef taco that was filled with an enormous amount of seasoned ground beef and the lettuce and tomato on the side so you could stuff it yourself. It also came with a cheese puff with some yummy yellow queso, and then a side warm plate was a cheese enchilada that was served hot and bubbly. All the flavors were so fresh and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My husband had the taco plate, which was also with three seasoned ground beef tacos that were filled very heavily with the lettuce and tomato and cheese on the side has came with rice and beans and he devoured his plate. I'd say he'd liked it. Restrooms were clean. The restaurant itself has plenty of seeing nothing out of the ordinarily spectacular about the vibe. They do have what appeared to be a large room that is separate. Maybe that could be reserved for groups for a mid afternoon Saturday they had several tables that were filled lots of free parking available on site. It's worth the drive to check it out. We will be back so we can try other menu items.
