Glad we stumbled upon this place. It's super cute and cozy. I love the fire place. They have several sugar free syrups to choose from which is unusual, many places only offer 1. My daughter got a hot chocolate and said it was great. The girl working was very pleasant and sweet. I would love to try their food sometime.

My friends and I went on our camping trip and on our way back home we decided to stop by Bistro Espresso. We weren't expecting much and just really wanted somewhere quick to eat. When we arrived I have to say it was very nice! There were little fairy lights and decorations around the building and the weather that day was perfect. We ordered a frappe and some fries and the fries were by far the BEST fries i've ever had. It was crispy, hot, and the flavor was just right. I def say give it a try! The person taking our order was very nice as well and kept up a good convo. Overall 10/10 and my friends and I need to come again soon.

Loved server the day we went. She was the highlight of the place. Menu is good for basic coffee and tea. A few pastry choices were fresh and good. Best of that they also serve food, like sandwiches and more. Prices were fair and the portions good. Parking lot is theirs. Indoor seating has good amount of room. The decor is limited and over lacks an identity. Outdoor patio seating would be very nice in this area when warmer. Love the trees. This place is on the busy highway which was very convenient and near other shopping places down the road. Went twice while in the area and happy to visit again.

Such a cute bistro.

One of our family traditions is picking up some coffee on the way home. Most especially when we are headed out by brunch. We had spent the weekend at Camp Connell and needed to be checked out by 10AM. This place was on our way out and was 15 minutes from the house. When we arrived their little parking lot looked packed so we parked across the street. I stayed in the car as my sons and husband went in. It took about 20+ minutes for them to get back. I knew it would be a bit. They came back with some yummy items. I had an iced lavender iced mocha that was delicious. Husband loves mocha and this place just so specializes in it so of course that's what he ordered. He also ordered a gigantic cinnamon bun. It was delish! My daughter ordered an iced almond joy that she was happy with. One son had an iced chai and I can't recall what my other son ordered. They also picked up a cookie and a blueberry scone. I did not try the cookie but did try the scone and it was scone-ing! This place also serves breakfast items so maybe next time we will try out their breakfast.

Thank you, Molly, Emily and Nathan, for the EXCELLENT cheeseburger meals! Your kindness and service was much appreciated! Also, the garlic fries were an absolute hit! We will definitely return and let others know so they can partake of a scrumptious meal and friendly atmosphere.

The best place to go for coffee and breakfast! The service is great and the atmosphere is nice and friendly! It's my go to for coffee or special drinks!

My food

We try and support locally and best as we can. But I have to say the inconsistency that the bistro has is almost intolerable. I tend to always get the same thing every time and I ordered my barbecue chicken ranch salad, but I get crispy chicken and literally I got not even a half filled to go box of salad, literally one chicken tender, sliced. For $18...

My partner and I spent a couple of days in Arnold and this place quickly became our new favorite spot. We first visited on Saturday, July 13, 2024. After a morning at the lake, we were on the hunt for some food and decided to check this place out. Little did we know, they have a live band on Saturdays, which was an unexpected and delightful surprise. My partner ordered the tri-tip sandwich with regular fries, and I got the fish and chips with garlic fries. Despite the cook getting ready to close the kitchen for the live show, he kindly took our order, making us the last customers. Their accommodation was greatly appreciated. My partner couldn't stop raving about his sandwich, and I loved my fish and chips so much that I packed up most of it to enjoy later. The next day, Sunday, I was craving some coffee and suggested we go back. I got a small iced americano and couldn't resist trying their 6-piece buffalo wings. To my surprise, they were incredibly spicy and delicious. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place. A special shoutout to the worker with the pretty blue acrylic nails who helped us out both days--thank you for being so kind!

I would like to start by saying the service was spectacular -- they were just understaffed for how busy it was when I went. Service will take a while but they are very kind. Coffee was alright, could use more ice. Big selection. Also had alternative milks. Espresso was good, nothing out of the park but I wasn't looking for anything spectacular. Fairly priced coffee, a little bit overpriced food. Sandwhich took 20 minutes to-go with no orders in front of me. Coffee probably took about 10. The croissant sandwhich was good the bacon was just a little too thick for me. I thought the setup was cute. I'd come again just for the vibes. Boyfriend's review: I personally really enjoyed the coffee it was a great price and I recommend the iced mocha with brown sugar. Also had free wifi and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Zebra & vanilla latte

I think that overall this place is pretty good. We always stop here while in Arnold. The service is great. The coffee and food are good, some items or drinks are better than others but that's okay. I usually get the zebra or the white mocha. The food is a good portion size for the price. One of the best parts about it is how beautiful the scenery is. They also have cute decor and a fireplace .

Productivity improver! Dirty chai made with soy milk and (2) shots of espresso
Jillian G.

This is the best place in the Sierra Nevada region to get a chai or coffee. My go to is a "dirty chai, made with soy milk" (2) shots of espresso The ambiance is perfect and the service is always excellent! A must-stop when visiting Arnold or the surrounding area!!!

Breakfast plate of my dreams...just really, really good.

i went in and none of the staff were wearing masks. it's extremely risky and unsafe considering they're the ones preparing food.

Alicia's Sugar Shack - Breakfast Burrito with bacon and avocado

Alicias Sugar Shack is AMAZING!! IF you are on your way…read moreup or down the hill stop in and get your self a little treat, TRUST me, you will be thanking me, well hopefully.. lol.. I have tried a few things on there menu, all look so good tho. I really like the breakfast burrito, with bacon. IT WAS SOOO GOOD! It hast to be one of my Fav breakfast Burrito since last time I can remember. The proportions were all perfect, egg, cheese, bacon, and maybe a little more spice if you are into that, I like it either way... I might add avocado if they could, sure small fee but thats a given and have you seen the prices of food these days.. lol Service , Hands down all the girls I talked to while we got breakfast, were super friendly, busy but were nice when i asked for a few other things, and then coming to get my order... ** This Business is more of point of sale or window order I guess? , and pick up, not waited on. And nothing wrong with that, Just saw one negitive Review out of sooo many. So take it as you will, they clean off things when they get around to it, Its a Pastry shop, tucked away in Tuolumne County. Up past the turn off to the Black Oak Casino , in the mountains, open up most seasons if not all just changed hours...** Ambiance, well. Its a little wooden shack , wood work is beautiful inside. I think it has 2 or 3 tables inside, and a bunch outside . No dogs / pets inside but I saw a dog or two in the patio area outside... And if any of the reviews on Yelp have helped, tell them Yelp sent you, I am sure they will appreciate it..

If you like rude service, dirty tables and floors, this is the place for you. Had to rake old food…read moreof the table before setting down. It's like a glorified star bux, only dirtier.
