Blueberry cheesecake latte and a s'mores mocha!
Nichole M.

Our family took a quick weekend trip up to Arnold to have some fun in the snow. This was our first time here and we decided to check out this place for breakfast. It definitely did not disappoint. It's a cute little local bistro. Super cozy and warm with a super friendly staff! The food is good and the coffee drinks are delicious!! It's on the pricey side but understandable since I'm sure they get a lot of visitors. Why not charge more? It's a place to check out if you are staying up in Arnold!

Pulled pork and onion rings

We stopped by for a quick bite to eat on the way back from a weekend getaway in the mountains and were not disappointed. The portions were generous and I appreciated having the option of a salad as a side in an attempt to counteract the BLT lol. The bacon was thick and perfectly cooked and my husband's pulled pork sandwich was out of this world, I don't know which I liked better! It was very crowded but the staff kept up and food was delivered at a good pace. I will say, there were a ton of kids so it was loud, but that's not shocking during lunch on a weekend.

Glad we stumbled upon this place. It's super cute and cozy. I love the fire place. They have several sugar free syrups to choose from which is unusual, many places only offer 1. My daughter got a hot chocolate and said it was great. The girl working was very pleasant and sweet. I would love to try their food sometime.

Patty melt supposedly.

Stopped by for a burger/patty melt after a long hike. Spent $18 and got this. The bread wasn't toasted so it was soggy. I got about three bites of a burger on half of the sandwich. The red onions were hardly cooked, still crunchy, and there were about three slices of them. One of the scariest andcrummies burgers I've had in as long as I can remember. I definitely won't be returning.

My friends and I went on our camping trip and on our way back home we decided to stop by Bistro Espresso. We weren't expecting much and just really wanted somewhere quick to eat. When we arrived I have to say it was very nice! There were little fairy lights and decorations around the building and the weather that day was perfect. We ordered a frappe and some fries and the fries were by far the BEST fries i've ever had. It was crispy, hot, and the flavor was just right. I def say give it a try! The person taking our order was very nice as well and kept up a good convo. Overall 10/10 and my friends and I need to come again soon.

Such a cute bistro.

One of our family traditions is picking up some coffee on the way home. Most especially when we are headed out by brunch. We had spent the weekend at Camp Connell and needed to be checked out by 10AM. This place was on our way out and was 15 minutes from the house. When we arrived their little parking lot looked packed so we parked across the street. I stayed in the car as my sons and husband went in. It took about 20+ minutes for them to get back. I knew it would be a bit. They came back with some yummy items. I had an iced lavender iced mocha that was delicious. Husband loves mocha and this place just so specializes in it so of course that's what he ordered. He also ordered a gigantic cinnamon bun. It was delish! My daughter ordered an iced almond joy that she was happy with. One son had an iced chai and I can't recall what my other son ordered. They also picked up a cookie and a blueberry scone. I did not try the cookie but did try the scone and it was scone-ing! This place also serves breakfast items so maybe next time we will try out their breakfast.

Loved server the day we went. She was the highlight of the place. Menu is good for basic coffee and tea. A few pastry choices were fresh and good. Best of that they also serve food, like sandwiches and more. Prices were fair and the portions good. Parking lot is theirs. Indoor seating has good amount of room. The decor is limited and over lacks an identity. Outdoor patio seating would be very nice in this area when warmer. Love the trees. This place is on the busy highway which was very convenient and near other shopping places down the road. Went twice while in the area and happy to visit again.

Classic cheeseburger meal with garlic fries and fresh unsweetened iced tea

Thank you, Molly, Emily and Nathan, for the EXCELLENT cheeseburger meals! Your kindness and service was much appreciated! Also, the garlic fries were an absolute hit! We will definitely return and let others know so they can partake of a scrumptious meal and friendly atmosphere.

The best place to go for coffee and breakfast! The service is great and the atmosphere is nice and friendly! It's my go to for coffee or special drinks!

My food

We try and support locally and best as we can. But I have to say the inconsistency that the bistro has is almost intolerable. I tend to always get the same thing every time and I ordered my barbecue chicken ranch salad, but I get crispy chicken and literally I got not even a half filled to go box of salad, literally one chicken tender, sliced. For $18...

My partner and I spent a couple of days in Arnold and this place quickly became our new favorite spot. We first visited on Saturday, July 13, 2024. After a morning at the lake, we were on the hunt for some food and decided to check this place out. Little did we know, they have a live band on Saturdays, which was an unexpected and delightful surprise. My partner ordered the tri-tip sandwich with regular fries, and I got the fish and chips with garlic fries. Despite the cook getting ready to close the kitchen for the live show, he kindly took our order, making us the last customers. Their accommodation was greatly appreciated. My partner couldn't stop raving about his sandwich, and I loved my fish and chips so much that I packed up most of it to enjoy later. The next day, Sunday, I was craving some coffee and suggested we go back. I got a small iced americano and couldn't resist trying their 6-piece buffalo wings. To my surprise, they were incredibly spicy and delicious. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place. A special shoutout to the worker with the pretty blue acrylic nails who helped us out both days--thank you for being so kind!

Productivity improver! Dirty chai made with soy milk and (2) shots of espresso
Jillian G.

This is the best place in the Sierra Nevada region to get a chai or coffee. My go to is a "dirty chai, made with soy milk" (2) shots of espresso The ambiance is perfect and the service is always excellent! A must-stop when visiting Arnold or the surrounding area!!!

Had a few beers and the bbq burger and it was great! Nice folks, good outdoor eating area. They get busy so plan to wait or call ahead.

This is hands down the best breakfast restaurant we've been to when visiting the area. My kids said…read morethe pancakes were light and fluffy with just thr right amount of sweetness. I am Southern and found their biscuit to be the best I've had west of the Mississippi River - OMG? I ate that whole thing. And when you have a choice between spuds or hash browns, do Yourself a favor and say spuds. The potatoes as well as the red onions and peppers were nicely browned with a wonderful seasoning...I ate them left over the next day with cheddar and pickled jalapeños - yum. The servers were all happy on a Saturday morning at 8:30 am! All they all had genuine smiles and were funny and kind. We were seated immediately outside and found it to be lovely once the sunshine found us. Try this place out for your next sit down breakfast or brunch!

Had lunch here with my wife and father in law. The wait was to be expected as it was a holiday…read moreweekend. Once seated our waiter was upfront and stated the wait for food is going to be long. We appreciated the heads up on that. I ordered the chicken sando and tots. Super delicious and the tots were crispy. The chicken was juicy and the avocado was spot on ripe. My wife got the bacon breakfast and I assume she loved it as she didn't say a word while digging in. My father in law got the Rueben, with sweet potato fries. He absolutely grubbed it. He asked for the fries extra crispy and they came out perfect. For a little place off the 108, in Mi Wii....its a little gem. It feels like a country kitchen and they do not skimp on serving. I highly recommend stopping in.
