Went there recently for the first time in years. Started out a little odd, a waitress came over and took our drink order and then suddenly switched tables after saying she'd be our waitress. The guy that took over was nice and did a good job. The food came out timely and fresh. I don't remember the burgers being as flavorful as there were this time. Excellent atmosphere! The prices are great and the food was pretty good with the exception of the bow tie Mac and cheese and margarita panini. Mac and cheese was REALLY over cooked and mush, so that got wasted. The flavor was definitely there though. My daughter said her margarita sandwich was "the most boring sandwich" she had ever eaten so I wouldn't recommend that. She ate less than half of it and the rest went in the trash. It had one small piece of tomato and one piece of basil on one half of the sandwich. The rest was cheese. The bruschetta came out as a bowl of tomatoes, zero cheese, and grilled bread. Albeit the menu said it had cheese, I had to ask for it. I also asked for balsamic vinegar, a staple ingredient for good bruschetta. Once we added those ingredients, it wasn't too bad. Panini sandwiches were pretty good size, and big enough to share. My husband loved the Italian panini. The fried mozzarella was also good. The sauce was perfect. And fresh cut fries... can't go wrong there. The chocolate mousse cake was delicious!!! Very nice to see a good and fresh place to eat in Galion Ohio despite the few hiccups we had. This one should be around for a while, so long as the dishes arrive to tables as advertised on the menu. (The kids meal said it came with applesauce, but we never received any applesauce.) Very cute inside though. It felt clean and fresh. I do feel I overpaid a bit seeing some food was tossed and one item wasn't received. But.... lesson learned. My husband will eat the Italian panini if we ever returned when visiting family in the future. I give four stars for a clean place to eat, and fresh tasting ingredients. If I had to rate the experience overall including feeling like I overpaid for two items... I'd give it a three. Those things separate an average place from an excellent one. read more

Our neighbors have always sworn by Bistro 217 and their wraps and salads. While you should expect a longer ticket time, the dining room is always busy with a consistent quality in all meal categories. Company is ran by a fantastic family and I will continue bringing people here. read more

You're in for a treat if you get the right waitress, which we did :).... we each got a burger and one of us got the fish and chips. The burgers were great!! Hot and fresh not frozen(verified by their waitress). The fresh cut fries were hot and endless.. we went through two four orders*ask for the vinegar.. so good. Next we had dessert and we ordered one of each of their choices, they have some from a local bakery that is awesome at what they do.. the salted caramel cake was delicious not too sweet and it was fluffy... the chocolate mousse cake was rich and full of flavor. Went on a Saturday evening with friends to celebrate a birthday. Service was prompt, and friendly. I had the a panini with fresh cut fries, and everything was delicious. My friends all had burgers, which they all said were very good. There are only a few non-fast food options in Galion for dinner on a Saturday night, this is a good one. We came to the area to pick something up. We asked where to go eat and this is the place several locals recommended. Wow it was fabulous. There was a special 2 pastas and 2 salads for $20. The house salad was fresh, guess the only issue with the dinner was that the ranch dressing was not homemade. The lemon pepper chicken pasta was awesome, made with angel hair pasta. The other was a pomodoro chicken pasta. That was also fabulous. We ordered a piece of lemon cake to go. You also each got 2 warm pieces of bread with your dinner. Wish we lived closer, we would be there more often. If you are in the area be sure to stop in and enjoy the food. We sure did and you can't beat the prices. OMGosh!!! This is the best pasta I have ever had. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but this was a gem of a find. We never been through this town and searched restaurants near me. I've never posted on Yelp before, but the whole experience was great. The place was clean, staff friendly and attentive. I had the chicken bacon pasta and it was amazing. We brought a lot of the food home because the portions are huge. The price was inexpensive. They could easily charge 5 bucks more per entree.
