We had a family dinner here recently and sadly we're a bit disappointed. The best part was our server, who was great. Very charming and attentive. We had a reservation but the host stand seemed quite overwhelmed. We literally stood there for 5+ min for them to figure out who we were or something. It gives the impression that it used to be really nice but has gone downhill. Our food was just okay. The fish dishes were very greasy which made it hard to eat. Very disappointing experience. Made reservations for a party of 10 for 5 o'clock Food took over a hour to come after asking our serving when we would get served,we were told there were 10 tables ahead of us. When we arrived there weren't 10 tables occupied ! No one ordered anything difficult,mainly burgers 2 kids Mac& cheese & 2 steaks. All the sides were wrong and cold when our food finally was brought out . The 2 steaks,one was supposed to have blue cheese crusted over it and was not, the server brought a small bowl of blue cheese afterwards. The manager did come over part way thru the meal and apologized. The server did take 10% off the food but I felt they should have done more,we should not have gotten the up charge for the sides $5.00 for cold mashed potatoes is a bit much. Extraordinarily nice place to eat with family and friends. We stayed in the hotel Friday and Saturday night a few weeks ago. Friday night me and my wife went to the Bar without our kids. Kristen and Kayla the set of twins were very nice, and professional. Made some of the best spicy bloody Mary's & martinis that I've ever had. The food was amazing the smoked brisket Mac & cheese was a little pricy in general but for a resort reasonably priced. Saturday we sat down with our whole family at a table. Jayde was our server she was very nice. Giving us suggestions from the menu helped us out a lot and made our experience worth it even while they were slammed with almost every table in the restaurant being occupied. read more

Food was ok. There was a limited menu because of the fall festival. We had a Kiwanis club card (up to $20 discount) and asked the host if we could use it. He checked and told us "yes, it can be used" We also told our waitress that we were going to use the card. "No problem" Time to pay and the waitress tells us the card can only be used after 4, so no discount. We asked to speak to the manager, Christina. We explained that two different staff told us the card could be used. She refused to honor it and the excuse was the host that told us the card could be used was only 15 years old. I'm not sure what his age had to do with it. We had a discussion regarding customer service and would she comp the $16 burger. She refused. I find it hard to believe that after being told two times that the card was good that the manager would react the way she did. She was rather rude and not a good example of providing good customer service. We expect more from a Scott owned business. read more

When we arrived the restaurant was at maximum capacity due to covid restriction. We were told wait time would be 25mins, so we decided to wait. We only waited about 10 mins and were seated. The place was quite full. The atmosphere was nice, decor was very fitting with the theme of the inn. A server brought us our water and promptly took our orders. Food was delivered in a timely manner. We ordered NY strip steak, chicken caesar wrap, kids hot dog and kids chicken tenders. The food was tasty and the steak was cooked just as requested. Our server was pleasant and food was good. My boyfriend and I visited here the first night of our trip. We came down from our room at the Inn and sat at the bar. There is a large dining area as well. The bar is seated height rather than standing. It had comfy leather cushioned rolling chairs which were great!! Especially after being out on the slopes then coming in to relax while grabbing some drinks and food. After a few drinks we ordered food at the bar. I got the broccoli and chicken Alfredo while my boyfriend got the drunken chef burger with fries. My dish was smaller than expected but it the broccoli and chicken were both seasoned and flavorful. I also got the French onion soup to start which I really enjoyed. He said his burger was very tasty. Some friends met us who also ordered burgers but theirs were slightly under cooked. The following night we were so tired from being out all day we walked down to place an order for take out. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, a Buffalo chicken wrap, and the bacon avocado burger. All came out in 15 mins, the lady brought it out to us as we were sitting out by the fireplace. The spinach dip was delicious!! It was in a bread bowl with pita chips and were very flavorful! It had a large selection of both breakfast and lunch options, including a tasty prime rib and good pasta dishes (I opted for lunch food only, given the many options). Like any buffet, there is a the risk of getting the crusty last scoop of the serving dish, but aside from that, I was satisfied with their selection of food. The bananas foster was good but a little too heavy on ice cream rather than bananas. We made a reservation in advance and had a very attentive server, which meant that we had frequent refills of the mimosas which were included in the brunch price (make your booking for after noontime to take advantage of this!). read more

Don't order seafood. My salmon was very overcooked and basically charred on the outside. This is NOT how you serve salmon. My father-in-law ordered the mussels and half were not open. When we complained, they only offered him 20% off his dish. I heard the steak was very good. Maybe they should just stick to steak. Even the chicken my mother-in-law ordered was overcooked and charred on the outside. This is a beautiful old restaurant, but they charge way too much for what they are serving. This is the coolest place to hang out. It is literally behind the ski resort. After ski if you just want to go somewhere warm and have a nice meal and drinks this is a best place to go. The place is really fancy and nice. There are few TV so if you want to want watch a game that's a nice place to go. They have really good burger :) I love the atmosphere. For us, this place is a must at Peek 'n Peak! Everything we tried was good! The staff was very friendly. I just wish it stayed open a little later, especially during the week. For travelers, hanging out at the pool or just coming and going 9 & 9:30 during the week just aren't late enough when there isn't much else around. Especially when the pool closes at 9. The staff here is extremely unfriendly. The hostess in particular very unwelcoming and uninviting. It's as if you're a pain in the ass going to the restaurant. I witnesses not only for myself but for the group behind me of seven people. Who wound up just sitting at the bar because the hostess acted so put out that she would have to seat them somewhere in a completely empty restaurant. Telling them they needed a reservation etc. I looked around there was nobody in the restaurant like few people at the bar that's it. This was during the week between Christmas and New Year's the place was dead there was barely any snow on the slopes. They only had a couple of hills open. They should be welcoming and inviting and hoping for more business. The restaurant does have a nice big fireplace and decent ambience. The food is subpar. We came during Biker Bash weekend in July, so there was a live band jammin' out, making it a bit too loud for comfortable conversation, but at least it was lively. They have a good number of beers on draft; I got a blueberry beer that came with blueberries floating in it, which I enjoyed. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap (you can choose grilled or fried chicken) and substituted the chips for fries. It was decent. Also tried the sweet potato fries, which were nicely seasoned. On another night, we ordered a few pizzas to eat in the room - meat lovers, sausage, and cheese. They were extremely cheese, with strings of cheese pulling when you went for a slice, and toppings threatening to plop off with the cheese. Overall pretty satisfying. This review is based on my experience staying at the lodge and having 3 dinners and 1 breakfast experience at this restaurant. The environment is nice for a ski lodge. The service is very hit or miss. Everyone is nice here but very often they get the orders wrong and forget things and the food has come out cold a few times. The food is very basic - pizza, burgers, french fries, steak etc for dinner. It's also very basic in preparation - not much seasoning and nothing unique in presentation. The prices are reasonable for a hotel restaurant. The cocktails are actually very well prepared. Their bartender is really good. Her drinks were a pleasant surprise. What a horrible experience. I went there on the middle of the afternoon to make a reservation and ask if the Super Bowl was going to be on. Yes I was told. Arrive. Game not on. Arrive for the reservation and I Ask for it to be put on. Manager say it will be put on but volume will be set appropriately to accommodate all guests. Which meant mute. I asked who they were truly if to accommodate and she pointed to one couple in back of the restaurant. So full restaurant and bar want the sound on and she says no. Best restaurant at the Peak, usually fairly good service but my most recent visit left me waiting for my order for an hour and a half. I'll list the inconveniences out for you: 1. Our waitress did not go to the kitchen once to receive anyone's food, instead she just stood by the bar the whole time. The one instance I saw her do something productive is when she was asked to take a family picture for someone. 2. Three groups of people that came after us ordered, received their food, and left before we even got any food 3. Our table had not been cleaned before we ate. 4. In my previous visit, service was good but they did mess up my receipt and I just sucked it up and paid for it instead of making a big deal I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say that I am with a big group every time I come here (7-10 people). Came here on a quiet night for a date night with my wife. The atmosphere is awesome, a little retro with a modern upgrade. Started with the stuffed mushrooms which were good but average. Next I had seafood chowder which was really quite good. The I had the bistro steak. Had to use A1 which I didn't want to do but it was the only way to get flavor. We had not been up to Peek n Peak in a few years for Sunday Brunch and now I know why. This place has changed. It used to be the premiere Brunch location in the Erie area and that is no longer the case. The breakfast items were limited to just eggs, bacon, potatoes, French toast and some pastries. For $30 I would have thought that there would be an omelette station or bring back the Eggs Benedict. There were a number of lunch items including Prime Rib (which was the best item served), but most left something to be desired. The free drinks were OK, but still not worth the money. Scott Enterprises should be embarrassed by the quality of what is served or maybe not, since they are making money off of sub par food. If you are in Erie, save your money and go to Golden Coral. read more

After standing around for 5 minutes I finally asked if we could seat ourselves and finally directed to the hostess stand. My wife's steak on the 2nd night had a little more pink than she wanted. But she said everything was super good. They did offer to put the steak back on the grill. Quite possibly the worst dining service Ive ever experienced. We had a large party with several waitresses taking care of us. There was clear and obvious tension between the two of them, and while it was awkward and annoying, it was the least of the problems. They also were unfamiliar with the menu, called their own food "freezer fries" stating that there was "nothing special about them", and they forgot to enter in two meals. Those meals, a steak and a kids chicken tender meal, arrived after everyone else had eaten and plates were clearing. (How a steak and kids chicken tenders take the same time to cook and deliver is beyond me...) To top off the entire night, it took well OVER AN HOUR for them to attempt to separate and deliver our checks. I say 'attempt' because they never came. We patiently waited, asked several time how much longer, and then finally had to hover over them at the computer and threaten to walk out. The manager acted very blasé about the entire thing and offered zero discounts or compensation. I actually had to request the late food be comped. It was a frustrating end to what was an annual family holiday dinner. If you're a party of 2 or 4, maybe your experience will be different. But I'd argue they were massively ill-equipped to handle our party of 20. And I give their team a massive thumbs down for professionalism and customer service. read more

First off, our reservation was "put in the wrong book" so we waited to get seated; probably less than ten minutes, but that should have been a red flag. Waitress grazed by, saying I'll be right with you. About ten minutes later she came back, we ordered one app to share and our 5 entrees. We watched another table get there apps who were seated after us. That put us a little on edge, but ours came shortly after. We ordered brie, but it wasn't served with any crackers or bread (which was odd to us). The waitress didn't stick around long enough to ask for some, so we flagged down another girl that was bussing a nearby table. The brie was good, no compliant on that. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. The aforementioned table got their entrees (remember that came after us) as well as another couple who came much later than us. We waited. And waited. We identified a manager and let her know that we had been there well over an hour and had seen two neighboring tabled get food, and almost their checks. She said she would check. After ten more minutes we had had enough and went to the hostess to pay for the appetizer. The manager was summoned again, and stated she had just found our order. At that point we were done. Horrible service and management. When management is that poor, of course the servers will follow suit. There are limited options in this town but I will never go here again. We sat for 30 min before we even got drinks, then waited another hour for food. My son fell asleep before it even came. We spoke to a manager, she went to the kitchen and never showed her face again. When the food did arrive it was dried out and terrible like it had been sitting for a half an hour. Booked a romantic stay with my boyfriend at the peek. Our second night we decided to get dinner at Bistro 210 because the weather was inclement and it was getting late. I'll start by saying we should have taken our chances driving to find somewhere else. The staff seemed nice, our waitress didn't know the menu and was unable to answer simple questions. The appetizers were cold and sent back to be taken off the bill. I just can't believe they get away with serving that sub par food and claim to be fine dining. The Peek is a great place but the food is way over priced. $13 for a frozen 1/4lb beef patty burger on a generic white bun. We also got the chicken caprese with vegetable du jour.. $20 for a tiny flat chicken breast with some cheese and 4 grape tomatoes. The vegetable serving wouldn't satisfy an ant. I gave them 2 stars because I'm optimistic?!?! Don't waste your money! read more
