Harry is phenomenal! Will never see another stylist as long as he is around. He is also very nice, accommodating and professional.

My first time coming here , and it was AMAZING. Not only is there Friendly staff but the atmosphere is phenomenal. You're welcomed with a smile and it's like you're stylist becomes your friend. Any question before the cut can be easily answered and you never feel rushed. As I was Sitting in the chair while my boyfriend got his hair done, I noticed how the room was filled with color and music for all customers to enjoy. Plus there are t-shirts, hats, and other cool rep things to buy while there! As for the haircut, it was just as great as the experience. It was a clean fade with not too much taken off the top which was about 4 inches when we walked in. It looked amazing, certainly better than what he's gotten before. If you're not coming here, you're not getting the best. read more

I walked in and immediately felt a atmosphere like no other shop I've been to, I was greeted by a very nice face at the front desk and my stylist was Khalif. I would recommend going to this shop and choosing my stylist for any of your hair appointments/concerts or if you want your own stylist products they have a wide range of amazing products, and clothing. read more

Karen is very kind, listened and was very informative. I came in for a haircut, and she provided! I also ended up getting the K18 treatment she recommended for my over-processed hair. My hair is baby soft! Worked even better than olaplex. I will be coming back for more treatments. read more

I wanted an undercut. I showed makuta a picture of what I wanted exactly. What I got was honestly the worse hair cut ever. For someone who claims they knew that they were doing he obviously had no idea. What I wanted was a small simple flower design. He made everything crocked and practically made me bald with how thick and terrible the lines are. I will NEVER return and would NEVER Recommend anyone to go here or at least to him. He also dyed my hair WITHOUT my permission nor did I even want it. All I asked for was an undercut read more

Lis is great and loves her craft. She enjoys getting to know her clients, and makes sure the client is happy with the results. Having very thin hair and with lots of color treatments, she convinced me to chop a huge chunk off my ends to make my hair look healthy and strong. I was hesitant but followed her instructions. I am returning every two months for a quick trim, and we're taking pictures to follow the growth process. I used to cut my hair 2x a year and never trusted my hair stylist. If you go to Lis she is as friendly as can be, and will do a great job! read more

I have been to Bishops twice, and both were great experiences. I've had trouble in the past finding a place that can cut short women's hair without either neglecting the top or totally butchering the top with straight lines.. The people that work there are really nice, and friendly. Harry cut my hair the first time he's really nice and honest. I had colored my hair a few days prior to going there and he said I had color on my scalp so he didn't want to cut it too short. I definitely agreed with him, , he did a great job and kept me from looking like cheetah on the back and sides. While he was cutting my hair I made short conversation with Desiree, who was coloring a girls hair, (which looked really great) and made me want to color my hair on my next visit(instead of doing it myself ) Bishops is one barber shop that offers color as well which makes it even better. My second visit was last minute so I didn't get to color my hair. Which wasn't a big deal, I just desperately needed a shape up. Desiree cut my hair, and I didn't have to explain how I wanted the top, which was a relief. She did an awesome job, fixed my 4 cow licks. I left looking and feeling so fresh. I can't wait to get color and cut with Desiree. Check out their Instagram, great feed. read more

I will not be returning. Karen was distracted and cut my hair so short it was patchy and needed to be buzzed. do not come here.

Outstanding service by Harry Clarke!!!!! My partner and I have been searching for some time for just the right person and Harry is the man! Harry listened, is so skilled, and the shop is great! Could not be happier! Thank you Harry! read more

First impressions matter and Bishops far exceeded all expectation. The facility is clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly, laid back, but still professional. I was greeted with a craft beer ( enough said). Lastly, the manager called me the next day just to make sure I still liked the cut. Nice touch! This will be my go to spot from now on. read more

Great shop. Recently moved to the area and needed to find a new place to get my haircut. Great little shop and highly recommend giving it a try. read more

We were walking by on our way to dinner. Makuta, the stylist, was outside so we struck up a conversation. It just so happened that my son desperately needed a hair cut, so we popped in. Such a cool place! Free beer and really nice staff. My son chatted with Makuta the whole time. The result was the best haircut he has ever gotten in his 12 years. We are sold! This is our new place. Give it a try. You won't be sorry. read more

Sarenceya was great! Very personable and welcoming. I walked in without an appointment and she agreed to fit me in in between appointments, rather than making me come back the next day. While definitely pricier than normal budget haircut places, the quality and attention to detail you'll find at Bishop's more than make up for it. read more

The staff was welcoming and friendly for my first visit. I was greeted promptly upon my arrival and offered a beer. Not just a run of the mill domestic either but some of the delicious local offerings from the Atlanta craft scene. The wait was under 5 minutes and I was taken care of by Jess. She was fun and friendly and did a great job getting my cut right. I will definitely return. read more

Booked an appointment for 1:15 with Harry but, when I got there at 1:10, I was told that he would be another hour due to another client running over. I value my time so, please don't waste it by not honoring scheduling. read more

I came here for a quick cut one weekend. I was a walk in, but I didn't really have to wait long. I had Desiree as my hairdresser, and I loved what she did with my hair. I had addressed with her some of my concerns of recent hair thinning and previous haircuts I had tried, but she put me at ease with an explanation of what she would try to do along with making sure to ask me of my preferences along the way. Overall, I've enjoyed my haircut. There's a surprising amount of volume, and I honestly feel so much more comfortable in my own skin now about going out with friends or work (which I have to deal with a number of people a day). I really have to thank her for that! read more

I got a haircut from Karen and she was wonderful! Very nice and personable and reaffirmed what I wanted during the entire cut. Very pleased with my 7 inch chop! read more

I don't want to sound like a horrible person for this review because the place is very clean and friendly. However my stylist was Harry the assistance manager of the salon, I walked in to see if I could get a haircut and colored. I was given a consult by Harry and all seemed well so I signed my waver with a cost of $155-210. I honestly didn't think twice about the amount because I was ready for a change. I normally use revlon soft black at home about every 2+ months with a spray in on the roots as needed because I absolutely hate coloring my hair because I suffer 3days afterwards(very itchy with swollen lymph nodes). I was way beyond excited for this!!! So he gets started with the black over all with some soft caramel underneath tones which I was very excited for. Ok well the first ones didn't take so I was like alright now what? He said ok we will try with some bleach to see how it goes. I had already been there since about 2pm so he said we can try again tomorrow or now. I told him now would be the best. He said sure no problem long story short, from 2-8:15 he tried to get the look I wanted without any notice of color to the ends of my hair. Poor guy had black hands and all. I really hate to leave a bad review because everyone was so nice but I paid $165 with a $35 tip walking away with a feeling of "damn it, why me! My boyfriend didn't really see any difference, and saw how dissatisfied i was, so he looked around to find a place that was willing to help get the look I wanted. I'm glad he did some research because he found a great place. I had to spend another hour getting a new consultation today and will go back tomorrow to get started all over again. Also I will have to spend more money! Thank you to my amazing boyfriend for wanting the best for me, btw he's paying this time so he can handle it if I'm not happy or not. I lost 6 inches of my hair because of the damage caused. read more

Love getting my hair cut here. Desiree is so fun to talk to, and the quality of my haircut is great.

I saw Charisse today for a full highlight and a hair cut! She did amazing! She understood exactly what i wanted and made my hair better than I could have expected! I showed her a picture of golden locks and she replicated the color in the picture. She worked quickly and was very kind. I have been highlighting my hair since I was 10 years old and have been to some of the best salons in Atlanta and Charisse gave me one of my favorite colors to date. The Covid procedures followed by the salon put my mind at ease and allowed me to enjoy my experience. I highly recommend Charisse and can't wait to continue to have her highlight and cut my hair! Go see her. read more

Christina was straight fire Made my husband presentable again! Salon was absolutely nice and the staff def had a great vibe.

This place is really clean and the staff is really friendly. They offer you a beverage when you walk in or after you check in which is always nice. I got my cut by Harry and he did a great job. He took his time and was engaged with what I had to say and how I wanted my hair to look. I definitely recommend him if you stop by. read more

Made an appointment to come, no wait time needed at the time of my arrival. They require masks, a waiver and do a temperature reading, I appreciate that they take the COVID-19 precautions seriously. Barry was my stylist today. He's everything you could ask for: attentive, listens, very gentle and friendly!! I got an awesome blunt bob out of it. By the way, the other stylists and staff there were very friend as well. Whole place lifted my spirits up. Price is very reasonable. I'd recommend this place to everyone! read more

I have been coming here for a few months now. Makuta does an excellent shave. Very helpful as I am working on my beard.

I booked an appointment online to get highlights in my hair for the first time. Stephanie was great throughout the whole experience. Due to a personal appearance policy at my workplace, I needed the color to be subtle and professional, and since I had no prior experience with hair dying, I trusted Stephanie and she delivered! She walked me through all of my potential options and I went with her instinct on the final color and it turned out great. The salon is also very modern and comfortable. read more

So glad I found this place! I'll definitely be coming back. My hair hasn't looked this good since I moved to Atlanta!

This is an awesome spot to get a fresh cut. I couldn't help myself in dropping in because of the name "Bishops" , being that my name is Bishop haha. The staff is professional and Harry is an excellent barber. If your ever in Chamblee, check out Bishops and you will not be disappointed!!! read more

Ya'll. I have been wanting to do something fantastic w my hair and Bishops seemed like the perfect place. I'm a frontline worker and both my siblings death anniversaries were this month so I went to get my hair highlighted. Now my scalp and hair on top is burned. My hair broke off. ON TOP. They did tell me there won't be a refund from corporate but wanted to condition it and give me like 20% off future services. I don't want anyone touching my hair for obvious reasons. I did ask if they can put together some products to at least help with it bcz I have curly hair and now it's broken and chopped and short on top. No response from them. IDK if they think I'm just trying to get free products? But seriously though I'm gonna have to cut all 15 inches of my long hair because of this. Oh and I paid a whopping $184. I don't have the energy to fight for my money back cz like I said I have been thru hell this year. I'm mourning my siblings death, so before you pay a ridiculous amount of money there.....I suggest you don't but then again the girl next to me got hers all nicely done and didn't walk out with a half mullet (crying emijo) Best of luck! read more

Aside from the 40min wait following an appt time I made a week ago, I thought Desiree did a nice job with my long cut. She seems knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. The complimentary beer was a plus :-) read more

I loved every moment of my experience! The deco is amazing. Sarenceya did a really amazing job! I feel pretty again!

Stephanie did an amazing job taming the crazy four-month long head of hair that she had to work with after the pandemic lockdown. As a first-time customer, she took the time to make sure she understood the type of haircut that I was looking for and to check in throughout the cut to make sure I was seeing the results that I was looking for. She even made some recommendations for shampoo and conditioner products that would be better for my hairstyle. The prices were very reasonable. Thanks to all! read more

I decided to get my hair cut on a whim and called Bishop up. They fit me in quickly and as soon as I walked in the door I was graciously welcomed! Barry was great, he listened to my concerns and responded to each of them. After sitting down for a cut, we talked about what I'd like to see in my next hair color. Immediately Barry had brilliant ideas that played on my hair strengths in its current condition. We did it right there and I'm absolutely amazed still. I would recommend Bishop and Barry any day! I left happy having met someone I can trust with my hair and have fun, in-depth conversations about pop culture with. read more
