Came here for Valentine's Day around 1pm. I was super excited to try the mimosa flight (18). The grape fruit one was the best. We also ordered the bacon flight (9.99), Original Breakfast (18.65) + stuffed hash browns (2), and Chicken Fried Steak (20.70). The food took a while but that was okay. Our food came and I was a bit confused where the bacon flight was. At this point the staff were cleaning up or huddled by the front chatting. No one came to check on us while we were eating. The food was good and the stuffed hash browns are 100% worth it. I have never got just one piece of toast with breakfast, usually it's two but that was whatever. I wanted to try the raspberry jam but the waiter left so I just ate the strawberry one which was fine. We were almost done eating and waters had not been refilled and my bacon was still no where to be seen. The place was pretty empty at this point it was around 1:50pm. The waitress brought food to the couple next to us and I was finally able to flag her down to ask about the bacon. She goes oh do you guys still want that... uh yes..? She comes back a while later with the bacon flight which consists of 4 pieces of bacon on a tray. Regular (good), candied (okay), garlic Parmesan (not great), and chipotle ( it's a skirt of chipotle sauce on a regular piece of bacon not good ). I was very disappointed that for $10 I got 4 lousy pieces of bacon.. do not order lol. It was also very awkward because the staff was actively moving tables, sweeping, and mopping within 3 feet of my table. And I never got a refill on water :/ when the waitress brought the check she did finally offer to fill my water but by then I was ready to go. I did go to my car and immediately chug the hydro I had in there. I'm not sure if the poor service was due to V-Day business and exhaustion or if it is always like that. This was my first time here. I would definitely be up to going back again and seeing if it differs and was just due to being a busy day. More dough than cinnamon & unfortunately had to dispose of both which were not cheap. I suppose I should have stuck with a breakfast meal at Biscuits. I asked our server about sandwiches on the menu and she claimed they were really good. She was wrong. We stopped in during lunch hour and decided to try a turkey club and chicken biscuit sliders for our meals. We also ordered the bacon flight to try their bacon assortment. The turkey club is terrible. I'm not sure how a sandwich with turkey, bacon, cheese and avocado on it can be so flavorless. I didn't see any mayo or anything else added to it to give it any extra help. It fell apart from the first bite and just got worse from there. I ate about 1/3 of just half the sandwich. The chicken sliders weren't much better. Served with hollandaise sauce was its only plus that gave it some flavor. The bacon flight was a big disappointment too. $10 for 4 medium pieces of bacon served on a board. Don't bother ordering it. When we received our bill I looked it over, they already have higher prices for less than high quality food but I noticed they're also adding on their business CAT tax to every bill. They're charging it as a percentage, similar to a sales tax. The restaurant itself is similar to every other Biscuits Cafe. Decorated with cute home style decor and seemingly clean. We won't be back to dine at Biscuits. Between the high prices for disappointing food and taxes added on it's just not worth it. read more

I've been to this particular Biscuit Cafe in Happy Valley before (it's in the same plaza as Fred Meyer), so I already knew it would be busy, especially on a Saturday afternoon. The hostess greeted us and added my name to the waitlist. Even though the restaurant was nearly full, it didn't take long for us to get seated. When we sat down, the waitress came over--looking a bit flustered--asked how we were doing, and when we asked her back, she paused for a second and said, "Busy." She immediately followed up by asking if we wanted drinks, and just as quickly, if we were ready to order. It felt a little rushed, but I wasn't too bothered by it. I told her we needed a bit more time to look over the new menu. When she came back, we ordered two country fried chicken steaks. She asked if I wanted pancakes, toast, or French toast, and I went with the French toast. Midway through our meal, she stopped by to refill my water, which I appreciated--because honestly, it's the little things like that that matter. When we were checking out, she gave me a total that was about $2 higher than what I remembered seeing on the menu. After a minute, she realized it was because the French toast was considered an add-on with an upcharge. She went up to the register to double-check, then came back and apologized for the confusion. She even offered to pay the difference herself, which I give her a lot of credit for--owning up to the mistake. For me, it wasn't really about the $2--it was more about the lack of transparency, and that just didn't sit right. As for the food, it was a good, simple meal you could probably make at home if you really wanted to. Overall, it's a good reminder to always confirm the price when placing an order. If it wasn't for her accountability, I would have rated the experience a lot lower. read more

This is a bummer of a review to write and despite a number of negative reviews, I've always gotten quality food - except for today. Ordered my usual ham benedict with crispy hash browns and poached medium eggs. Not only were the hashbrowns not crispy, they were limp and tasted barely cooked (borderline cold) - even after heating up, I actually had to cook them on the stove. The eggs were the consistency of hard boiled eggs, barely any hollandaise sauce and English muffins were soft, didn't appear to be cooked. I will acknowledge that the Door Dash driver did take a detour to pick up another order that added time. Biscuits is about 1/2 a mile from my house & the driver went out of their way to evidently pick up another order 1.5 miles from my house basically adding 20 minutes before I got my order. Granted some of this delay had an impact, but had the order been prepared properly, my meal wouldn't have required me to finish cooking it. If you take a look at my reviews, I'm selective in giving them so this isn't just another armchair critic writing for the heck of it. I also provided feedback to Door Dash too (the driver actually had a 4.9 rating) - service can't improve if the hiccups aren't shared. read more

I tried to buy a gift card and it took almost 20 minutes tho they were pretty busy. The hostess was young and I'm sure new and she couldn't figure it out. This wasn't a problem she was trying hard and was nice. I think we've all had a first job where you have to be shown what to do. The problem was she had to go the office to get Sarah (?) who I'm sure is either the manager or assistant manager (I sure hope she isn't the owner!). She was obviously pissed off about having to leave the office, mad at the hostess and me both! Very rude and condescending. Was ok, not great. I'm gluten free and was told the hash brown and red potatoes were not gluten free. I ended up with the pico-avocado toast on gluten free bread with sunnyside up eggs. They do offer gluten free waffles but I wasn't in the mood for anything sweet. Wasn't anything special but I did not get sick so that was a plus. Server was very nice. Nice outdoor seating area. I've visited this spot a couple of times before and had decent experiences--friendly service and good food. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was a completely different story. Our server, an older woman with her brown hair up, thin eyebrows, and a tall, narrow build, was shockingly rude from the moment we sat down. She made no effort to engage with us, didn't offer even the smallest bit of friendly conversation, and acted like we were an inconvenience the entire time. What made it worse was watching her be perfectly kind and attentive to other customers around us. It felt really uncomfortable and honestly left a bad taste in my mouth--especially since the food itself came out cold, which hasn't been an issue during past visits. This experience was extremely disappointing and, sadly, enough for me to decide I won't be coming back. Customer service matters, and this visit was a huge letdown. But once we got our food , got to eating , my partner found a hair in his food. We let her know , and all she said was " okayyy..?" Straight face. No sort of apology or anything. We waited a bit for our order to be taken. Almost too long. Then the wait for the food to come was close to an hour. This was NOT due to the servers but due to the kitchen being understaffed. You can see the single cook trying to keep up but just couldn't. So the 2 missing stars in this review isn't for bad food but for the management's lack of staffing properly. Came on a Sunday morning and got seated right away. Quick service compared to other reviews. The veggie omelet came with 4 eggs, but the portion looked so small. I went to the Johnson creek location a year ago and swear the portions there were a lot larger. I guess prices increased while portions decreased. My veggie omelette was ok, eggs didn't taste that great. It came with avocado that they didn't bother to cut up, just stuffed it whole inside the omelette. This chain is hit or miss for food and service. Their huevos rancheros is quite good. However, the potatoes that they serve along side are stale, bland, and chewy. They are short-handed as every other restaurant appears to be but one would expect a coffee refill and a check-in once the food has been served. Not here. The manager on duty today did listen and did ack the poor service. Lastly, if your chain is named after a product it should be good. We've been to this location a few times on our way to Costco because everybody knows if you go to Costco while hungry, you'll probably spend at least $100+ more. I got the "build your own breakfast" and the hubby got the corned beef hash. He and I were both pleased. I like that the customization of each order is no biggie for them, as I like to add avocado, hollandaise sauce and sausage patties to EVERYTHING. Mimosas aren't super strong, but the cut orange slice on the champagne flute is a nice touch. We agree with other reviews regarding the side of breakfast potatoes. Not great. The staff are always friendly and awesome. Today we gabbed with their blonde waitress for a minute and found her to be very personable and kind. The staff always shuffles around as if they cannot be bothered to do a darn thing except maybe chat forever with patrons that have finished eating while your cup remains empty. Multiple times they left a line of folks waiting at the door with several empty seats because, again, they're just too lazy to care. Fortunately, this place was the location of my fiancè and my first date months ago. However, it turned into a 2 hour date because of how long our food took to come out. I was having a hard time deciding between the avocado toasts or the avocado Benedict, and I decided on te avocado Benedict with red potatoes and a pineapple mimosa. This is a very new Biscuits Cafe, occupying the same retail space as the old "Pizza Factory" that used to be located here. This makes for a bit of an odd decor and vibe, especially if you're used to other Biscuits locations. Food quality seems slightly better than the other locations. The corned been hash is not as greasy as other locations, but certainly not as good as other competitors. Service is friendly and generally prompt, but this location is insanely busy, all the time. Prepare for a long wait. It is also a bit on the pricey side for what you're actually getting (frozen, prefab chicken strips, etc.) It is worth a stop if you want a decent breakfast and you're in the neighborhood. read more
