Pretty decent breakfast food! I was visiting from out of town and family took us here for brunch. First of all, the portions are EXTREMELY huge. If you're not that hungry, try to split with another person. We had a TON of leftovers lol. I will say that the biscuits and marionberry jam were SO GOOD. I definitely felt like the jam was a star. My very first time eating at a Biscuits Cafe and I'm afraid that the food was extremely sub par. The wait staff was friendly and pleasant and reasonably attentive but that is where the good experience ends. The food with the exception of the eggs was terrible tons of poorly cooked potatoes that didn't taste good came with every plate we ordered. They weren't cooked all the way through and quite frankly made me a little nauseous. Besides the bad potatoes Our $14 breakfast entrees also came with rubbery pancakes. I had the chicken fried steak which alone was passable but it was smothered in a white gravy that tasted strongly of flour. I ordered the corned beef hash for my father and it was an unappetizing mountain of inedible stringy and dry meat. When you spend $55 on breakfast it should be happy Never coming back here again! Horrible! The staff sucks!!!! They don't seem to care how long you have been sitting there, they would rather sit at another table that was clearly a friend and chat. Average food but in huge portions. If you are looking to get full on standard breakfast/brunch food, this is your place. I tried the Country Benedict and it was fine; gravy was decent, egg wasn't cooked through, the hashbrowns were on the less crispy side. It's basically like going to a Denny's or IHOP but notably, our waitress was very pleasant and attentive for the larger party I was a part of. First let me say the staff were fantastic, even with being slammed, having a line out the door, and a kitchen turning tickets faster than I thought possible when a restaurant is that busy, EVERYONE was on point and friendly. If you love a good cup of coffee they won't disappoint! We ordered a variety of things to share Because I had heard such good things. It was all flavorful and worth the wait! We ordered the smoked brisket eggs Benedict with red potatoes... I don't like smoked meat and I couldn't believe the flavor and how well everything came together. I had the country omelette with red potatoes and biscuit and gravy. Then we ordered an EXTRA biscuit and gravy because it was the best I've had in years!!! A lot of restaurants have bland gravy... this is full of flavor And the perfect consistency. Biscuits were fresh and their freezer jam cannot be beat!!! Our table also tried the sweet potato pancake... I pretty much had to beg the waitress to take it away because you just don't want to stop enjoying the quality and flavor. My family and I LOVE our local Biscuits Cafe, not just because of the generous portions, delicious food, and reasonable prices, but because the staff is amazing. They make the experience enjoyable every time just by being friendly, welcoming, polite, and going above and beyond for the customer. Ben, in particular is always a joy, as are the ladies who have assisted us but I'm drawing a blank on their names. They are all wonderful! Another reason I love this restaurant is because there are so many gluten free options, such as the Belgian waffle shown in the photo. They have gf french toast, gf regular toast, and gf English muffins too, all of which taste wonderful. Update 12/18/2021: We still eat at this cafe regularly, at least twice a month. Love it every time. I don't usually love breakfast tacos but was feeling adventurous. I'm so glad I tried them! Delicious! I had them with the chorizo. Highly recommend. The portion is huge though! Leftovers heated up nicely the next morning but could easily share this breakfast next time. read more

Sunday morning brunch here was tasty & home-cooked, American goodness. Staff is friendly and attentive and the food was very good- huge portions! As expected, the line was long for brunch but worth the wait. The veggie omelette was full of fresh garden goods and the hash browns were nice and crispy. Placed a to-go order for the breakfast sliders with scrambled eggs and sausage. The wait was kinda long for what I got in the box. That being three extremely dry sliders :( sad day. The culprit's were over toasted buns and over cooked sausage. One slider was also placed face down with the cheese touching the box and the bun off to the side. I had to peel that one away. I live just down the block and regularly go to the Fred Meyer, so I've seen the Biscuits Cafe a couple of times and been a little curious about it. Yesterday, I had some extra time, so I stopped in for lunch. I ordered the French Dip, Philly style, and some coffee and a mimosa. I have to say, it wasn't particularly great. The meat was essentially just a wide rubbery slab, and neither the fries, nor the sandwich, nor the au jus were very flavorful. It was honestly just sort of bland. However, it's a lovely little location with a nice atmosphere, and the staff seemed nice, and it doesn't really sound like "The Biscuits Cafe" is meant to be a lunch destination, so I went ahead and went back for a second round today at breakfast. Much better. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash -- now, you can sort of see that it's just a pile of corned beef with either red potatoes or hash browns on the side, and I'm not sure if that really qualifies as a proper hash, but I've seen restaurants serve it approximately like this with a couple of extra steps. The potatoes and eggs were good and corned beef is always great. The portions were massive, too -- I could have taken half of it home for the next day and probably maintained my normal breakfast size, so I skipped lunch today. I guess the one small complaint I have is that, for a place with biscuits in the name, the biscuit was a little underwhelming. I personally prefer crunchy over fluffy biscuits, so that might be part of it, but the flavor of the butter and the biscuit itself were just sort of meh. Overall, I probably wouldn't have given them a second shot if they weren't right next to my house, but I think it's important for a community to have homey local little breakfast diners like this, and this one has a wholesome atmosphere and seems to be trying hard, and I think their current review score is a little unfair (one lady barely writes a couple sentences and says she took one bite of a burger and spit it out -- yeah right). They also only give you one slice of bread. They have a new system with rewards where I had to sign up again. No biggie, but I couldn't use my rewards on my meal. Biscuits Cafe was a nice place to eat breakfast. The place was busy and the waitresses were courteous, attentive and friendly. I ate the blueberry pancakes with hash browns and scrambled eggs with a side order of 4 pieces of crispy bacon. We didn't have to wait long for the good to arrive. Everything was cooked to my liking and the waitress checked in on us frequently the make sure we were alright and enjoying the food.
