This place is fine for diapers, compression socks, and maybe a walker. But I wouldn't recommend them for your mobility vehicle repairs. This medical supply shop took accepted my very cool wheelchair to repair. The manager said that is would be repaired and ready for pick up n one week. The kept it for SIX weeks and that was at Christmas time when I needed it the most. This is a hokey place with a pretty faced. I had two broken ankles and needed my outside lift in order to leave the hospital after 8 weeks. Our home is up 15 stairs and I could not make it up without the lift. At first they were very professional and would accomodate you in any way. I ordered my lift 2 weeks before getting out of the hospital. I was told they could not promise to get it installed on the day I needed it, but that it would be only a few days after. This did not happen. The sales Rep said they could install a used lift until mine came in but I would have to pay extra money to have an installer come out and install the used one because they did not receive my lift on time. I have been home for two weeks and still do not have my lift. I call them and email them and they blame it on the shipping companies. They take no responsibility to help you when you are at their mercy, however they have no problem taking your money and charging you extra because they did not get the lift delivered. I am still waiting and get lots of excuses. Promises, promises. I cannot even recommend their product as I am a month waiting. But, I would not recommend their professionalism and how they deal with your order. Once they have your money their attitude is we are doing what we can, which is no help to you. I would check out other companies if I were to do it again, smooth talk is usually just what it is SMOOTH but no help for you. Buyer beware! read more

This place offers lousy customer service. They do not return calls and you're lucky to get someone to answer the phone. I purchased wheelchair, knee scooter with accessories, and various medical supplies for my mother on 4/29/2019 spending over $1000. Since September 29th of this year when I actually did speak to someone, Dave- I've heard nothing back. A wheel lock assembly on my mom's wheelchair wore down and is unsafe for my mom to use. I'm just trying to get the part replaced and happy to pay for it. I've heard nothing back. Called again on 10/11 and spoke to Pam. Dave was at lunch and Pam said she'd have him call me back. Here we are on 10/14- no call back. I had to leave a message once again because it's rare anyone ever answers the phone. If I did business like this and treated my customers like this I'd have no customers. There are many medical supply places. This apparently is too small an order for them to be bothered with. DO NOT BUY YOUR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT HERE!!! I wish there were a ZERO star option. I bought a very expensive stairlift from them in 2016. There were multiple problems with the chair in the first year (where I could not use the chair for weeks at a time) and Bishoff's efforts at repair were slow and ineffective. Finally, a representative of the manufacturer fixed some faulty setting that Bishoff's had done. For the next couple of years I used the chair everyday and it worked fine. This year, during routine annual maintenance, the Bishoff's technician did something that caused the chair to stop working. Their response has been TERRIBLE!!! I have currently been without the chair for a whole month!!! I bought a stairlift because I need help. They never call me to let me know of any effort or progress getting what is needed to fix their mistake. When I call them, I hear the same BS every time, "Oh I just talked to the manufacturer and the parts we need should be here next week." I want to get my original investment back. What good is a medical aid if I can't count on it to work? Bishoff's treats me as if they do not care at all. Save yourself some big headaches and do not use this place. My dad has been dealing with this place and they were suppose to come out Friday. No show. They have a chair lift that won't turn at the top of the stairs. Super dangerous especially since my mom sleeps upstairs. My poor dad has to try to get her on and off without it turning. No call to reschedule nothing. I was there when he scheduled the appointment. Horrible in my opinion and to leave the elderly without a properly working chair. Get it together they spend thousands on a chair lift and you can't get it service when it breaks. read more

I ordered a mobility scooter for the weekend. It was delivered to the hotel we were staying at and it all went smoothly.

I have recently developed lymphedema and needed a compression stocking. I ordered several from Amazon that didn't fit, were uncomfortable and would take them off within 10 minutes of putting on. My physical therapist recommended Bischoff's and to ask for Rusty. I had just finished chemotherapy and was pretty down but needed to do something. I asked about custom compression stockings. Rusty was so nice and extremely helpful!! He measured my leg for a great fit. He also suggested seams at the top of my ankle that would prevent pinching when walking. I only waited a few days and then I got them. I absolutely love them!! I wear them from the time I get up in the morning until bedtime to keep swelling down and for comfort. They have made a huge difference in my life. I appreciate Rusty and the entire staff at Bischoff's. They are so kind!! Went into store to be a toilet seat riser for Pops, knew exactly what I wanted as I had purchased one in the past. I explained it to the woman that was helping me & she was pretty much clueless & tried to upsell me on another version. I had to point it out to her then she kinda understood. One would think they train or hire knowledgeable employees that know there products. There using COVID as an excuse to make all sales final even if they sell you something that wont work for your application. I contested there policy telling her it was unfair & she was rude about it. Amazing folks working here. They greet you when you walk In the door, they are knowledgeable and go above and beyond to ensure you have what you need. I rented an ice cooling machine for my shoulder after surgery, about four days after surgery it malfunctioned ( it happens). I called on a Saturday to see if someone could come out and swap it for me as I was unable to drive. They indicated they don't deliver on Saturdays, however, Joseph heard the desperation in my voice. I went to Bischoff's today looking for a shoe for my diabetic brother who has a wound on the left side of his foot, and to see what else I might find to make my brother's life a little more comfortable. I have two older brothers who have passed due to diabetes related issues, so I know how bad things can get when a diabetic gets a sore on their foot. It's nothing to fool around with. Joe could not have been more helpful !! He listened as I talked about my brother's many issues, and knew exactly what my concerns were. It was obvious to me, he had medical and medical supply knowledge (he wasn't just a salesman -- he actually knew what he was talking about). He was genuine in wanting to help, very pleasant, and I am pleased with the quality of service I received today. I went here looking for several things and was immediately greeted at the door. The first guy who started to help me must have been new because he wasn't very knowledgeable but then the manager saw what was going on and came over and answered all my questions. He was extremely helpful and gave me lots of great advice on how to compare products. He was really patient and spent a lot of time with us. Then when he went to help someone else a woman came over and asked if we needed any more help and answered more questions. They had a great selection and I really enjoyed the help I got from the sales staff. I also called looking for a product and the woman who spoke to me was really helpful. She asked if I had Medicare and when I said yes, she told me Medicare would pay for the item and gave me the name of the Medicare supplier, which I did. They saved me $300! That is true customer service. Anything I need I will be going back there to buy. They definitely have the customers best interest in mind and not just trying to make a buck. read more

I was very impressed with the way I was treated by "Angie" at Bischoff's. We had been out all day on errands and did not know it was closing time but Angie did far and above what she needed to do to make sure my husband had the correct fitting compression socks. He is handicapped so it is hard for him to get in and out of the car so she went out to the car to show him the various socks available. In the meantime, the other workers were preparing to close but she did not put any pressure on us to decide. If customer service is their goal, they achieved it with us. read more

I went to this Med. supermart looking for a pair of bandage scissors and kelly clamps. Yrs, I did find what i was looking for and yes price is pretty reasonable. What I didn't like is the customer service they have there, I would expect a friendly atmosphere because being a med mart their customers would be the eldrly who need med supplies but that isnt the case. First there was this guy wearing shades who was at the counter yelling " I'm not even supposed to be here!" and this girl who doesnt even smile at all. kept slamming the supplies i bought on the table. not even a thank you when she handed me the scissors. wow. My mom is in a care home. She went through 4 of them because of incompetent help.. She's on adult diapers because she's incontinent. Mom has a pot belly, sort of more rounded in the middle around her waist. One of the nightshift caregivers, probably didn't adjusted the adult diaper in the correct position and couldn't make the adhesive tabs to meet on top of the other. So instead of trying readjust the adult diaper adhesive tabs, he just taped it to her skin which cause skin to breakdown. It lead to a trip to the Urgent Care. They first tried gauze dressing and antibiotic but the skin gets torn off every time the gauze was replaced and open back up the sore. Then non-stick pad were used but Mom developed a rash because had a allergic reaction to it and it spread to a bigger sore and then multiple sores developed. So it was back to the Urgent Care we had to go. The ER doctor recommended something called Theraskin but he said that I had to go a medical supply store to it. I picked one store out of the phone book, Bischoff's Medical & Mobility, in San Jose. that is nearest to my mom's care home. I talked with one of the clerks. I told him about what happened to my Mom. He was very assuring. The clerk who help me was very knowledgeable of the product. He is also a part time chef. He said he get cuts all the time. He uses the product himself. He said it works wonders. Teraskin (it's like a peel off band aid). It acts as a 2nd skin and binds with the natural skin. He said that within 24 hours, the skin will heals normally. He said the product will work. ...................and it did. It's not just buying the product, it was that one clerk who keep assuring me that "everything is going to o,k. with my mom"...and he tried the product and it work for him. He made me felt better afterwards. He said the store can almost order anything if I ever needed anything else. He gave me the business card to the store and said I can called him any time. I got EXCELLENT SERVICE there. at Bischoff's Medical & Mobility. P.S. That Caregiver no longer works there at Mom's care home anymore. read more

My husband n I have been here before, but I have to say this time was the best ever. The gal who waited on us was nice, pleasant and friendly WITH A SMILE! and she answered all our question about Lift Chairs. We had done our homework prior to our visit, so we pretty much knew what my husband needed. They had lots of models to try. She was patient with explaining about the proper fit for my husband as he is tall, over 6' and his weight....he needed a good strong sturdy Lift Chair. The gal was a blessing for my husband, explaining he would be using this Lift Chair a lot and comfort is important. He agreed and was sold on the one he chose. I used my credit card and she asked for some I.D. When I took out my driver's license she noticed my medical provider card and explained we could get a discount. Wow! Great! We'll take it! We had a great fantastic experience today. I wish I knew the gals name who waited on us.....she helped a lot to make our visit to the store the MOST pleasant one EVER!!! and we want to Thank Her! My mom has MS and can't really get around without a wheelchair, so when I learned that she was coming for a surprise visit the next day from out-of-state I was a little concerned, to say the least. The exceptionally friendly staff helped me by renting me a very high-quality ramp that she used during her week-long visit. I'm not sure what I would have done if they didn't have the ramp in-stock. They were able to very quickly help me; I think I spent 30 minutes in the store before being able to leave with the ramp that would allow my mom to get into my house. Thank you very much Fong, Sonoma and Colleen! You were so kind to me, and you made my mom's visit possible and helped us share some special time together. This company sold my dad a top of the line stairlift, & made all kinds of promises about friendly service & even offered to buy the chair back if we no longer needed it. NOT TRUE! When I left messages abvout returning the chair ( as my dad passed before ever riding in it) my calls were not returned, after several messages left, they did call me and informed me that their warehouse was full & they couldn't take back the chair. So I put it on Craigs List, and when each person called to get information about it they were discouraged from buying it from me and tried to sell new ones! This place has shady practices.
