Luis was amazing! We had breakfast at Biscayne before heading to the cruise port. They offer all you can eat breakfast for $25 + tax. Nice little restaurant just inside the hotel. Very quiet and cozy for a date. Our server was very friendly but he did forget our appetizer and wound up bringing out AFTER our main course was served. All the food was delicious as well. A few things I did not like was the "resort fee" and the "service charge", and the fact that they added in a 20% gratuity to the bill. We showed up a little too early for check-in at YVE Hotel and were a tad delusional from the transit via Tri-Rail so we unwinded at the bar. Biscayne Tavern & Grill serves up a delicious Cuban Sandwich with fries. Perfect early day hangover munchies at 3pm before the Madonna concert at the Kaseya Center. It was a generous portion -- good for lunch and late-night dinner leftovers. We showed up in the same bar spot the next day at 10:45am before check-out and used our Welcome cocktail vouchers from the hotel for some Cuba Libre and vodka cranberries before the train ride home. It didn't stop there -- we also went with 2 caipirinhas and a lemon drop. We had Javier as our bartender on both occasions and he serves up some delicious cocktails. ******* REVIEW 1900******* This quaint restaurant is located inside the YVE Hotel which is where we were staying in Miami when we went to see P!NK a couple of months ago. We were only suppose to be there one night, but hubby and I came down with something that started right before the concert and progressively got worse and worse. So bad, we ended up staying at the YVE for 6 nights because we just couldn't make the drive back to Orlando. We also didn't feel like going anywhere, so the Biscayne Tavern & Grill served for all of our meals the entire time we were there. Every morning except the last morning when we actually went into the restaurant and had the buffet, we ordered the Tavern Breakfast and hubby went downstairs to pick it up. SO.MUCH.FOOD. I was blown away by the portions. Definitely worth the money and the prices were quite reasonable. Our breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, ham for me and bacon for the hubby, toast, and breakfast potatoes. Everything was wonderful every morning. The breakfast was out of this world. We tried so many things on the menu. Corn tamales, Mother Clucker sandwich, Caesar Salad, Tropical Chicken Breast, Bayside Meatloaf, Cuban Sandwich, and Key Lime Pie. Everything was wonderful and I would order any of the items we tried again and again. But... let me tell you about that Cuban Sandwich!! BOY O BOY! Best Cuban Sandwich I have ever had in my entire life. So good it makes me want to hop in the car right now and driver to Miami just to get a Cuban from here! OMG... my mouth is seriously watering right now! It's also huge - I'd advise sharing. Everything we ordered was hot, fresh, presented beautifully (even in take-out boxes), and each dish was enough for two people. I am honestly in shock at some of the negative reviews for this restaurant because I just can't imagine. Because we were there for a week, we ate at different times of the day every day and had different cooks and different employees boxing up our food, taking our order, etc. Everything was perfect. The service, the food, the prices. The food was so good, I thought I was eating at a really fancy restaurant. My only regret is I didn't take more photos of the food for y'all! Before leaving the next day on a 10 day cruise, my wife and I decided to patronize this restaurant. The entree Ropa Vieja is classic Cuban meal. This restaurant offers the worst Ropa Vieja I have ever had. The meat was not shredded in the typical manner, the sauce was Cuban flavored, it was more Mexican and the black beans were not Caribbean style but refried style. Furthermore, the white rice was hard, not properly cooked. The entree's taste was disappointing and not anywhere near Cuban style. I can not review the other meals as this I the only one we ordered. I hope for their sake this was not the norm but I would advise friends to not go to this restaurant. The server seemed very nice but the restaurant was clearly understaffed so service was very slow with long waits for food and drinks. The food was nearly inedible. My husband got the grilled mahi mahi sandwich with fries and I got a house speciality pear and Gorgonzola fiocchi in cheese sauce. My husband took the fish out of the sandwich and could only eat that as the aioli in the sandwich was so strong of garlic and tasted very bitter that he could not eat anything it touched. The fries were cold, undercooked and beyond salty. My pasta was over cooked and the edges dry and hard as if it had sat out. The "cheese sauce" was a watery soup like consistency that was very strange. Altogether not enjoyable. The most concerning thing was that we initially we overcharged with a charge for 3 sandwiches showing on our bill which they corrected when brought to their attention. We noticed as we were dining that at least 4 other tables around us had similar overcharges. The couple next to us were charged for too many drinks. It was odd that so many in such a short period would be charged extra. Also be aware they add a 20% gratuity to your bill. Overall we could not recommend and would not return. read more

Actually located in the lobby of the YVE, there was no sign or marquis at the time of our visit and the valet clearly thought we were idiots for asking. We caught a late breakfast here, it was ok. Pricing seemed to be about on-par for the area. There was a buffet that had scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes, cereals, pastries and could be ordered with pancakes or waffles. ZERO stars. Visited this restaurant inside the YVE hotel on 5/21 for breakfast - which was awful. On 5/24 I began receiving fraudulent charges amounting to over $2700 in airline purchases. I was never charged for the $30 breakfast even though they took my credit card out of sight to pay the bill. The credit card company and better business bureau will investigate and I hope they find the scumbag that works at this shit hole. read more
