Upon arriving, the restaurant made a good first impression. The atmosphere was what you would expect from a typical Indian restaurant, with traditional décor and a welcoming ambiance. We were seated promptly, which was appreciated, especially since we were dining with our 7-year-old son. Near the entrance, there is a large bar stocked with a wide variety of liquors, and an HD television playing Indian music videos, which added to the overall dining experience. Unfortunately, our experience with the service was somewhat disappointing. Our server came across as uninterested and lacked the friendliness and attentiveness that can make a dining experience more enjoyable. While the service wasn't necessarily bad, it didn't feel particularly welcoming. We decided to overlook that and focus on the food, hoping that would make up for it. Since our son loves butter chicken and it's typically our go-to dish whenever we visit an Indian restaurant, we ordered a butter chicken for him. For ourselves, we ordered the Punjab Samosa, Lamb Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, and two orders of Garlic Naan. Everything arrived in a reasonable amount of time. One thing worth noting for families with young children is the spice level. We were asked to select a spice level on a scale of 1 to 5. The spice level options are: mild, medium, spicy, Indian spicy. Two dishes were mild, one was medium, and one was spicy. One individual stated, "if this was spicy they did not want to know what Indian spicy was like". The flavors make a party in your mouth. Our food came out steaming from the stove, fresh, and portions large enough to share with four people and still have leftovers. Family owned business. Has an Indian TV station playing with singing. Great friendly staff. Stop in to eat or order take out, you will not be disappointed.
