Margarita flight is what brought us back. Birria tacos are great. Chips and salsa are not our favorite. Little pricey. Parking is limited and don't bring a truck. Bar seating is comfortable.

I was visiting NC from NYC and was looking for a place to grab a quick bite with a friend who just moved out here. After sifting through like 20 options, just picked here and I'm so happy she did! BirriTaco is a cute and fun spot. The decor is of skulls, flower walls, and blackboards where you can write your name or a note. It's a It has a small parking lot in the back and there's also some street parking. We walked in just before 3pm on Saturday and it was fairly empty. A few other tables did come in after us but it was still pretty slow (or maybe I'm just used to the business of NYC restaurants). We were greeted and seated by Angel, who was also our waiter. He was quiet and reserved but very attentive. He checked on us frequently to make sure we had all we needed. Drinks: they have sooo many good options to choose from it was hard! We decided to go with the margarita flights that come with 4 flavors of your choice and there's a lot to choose from! We tried 6 different flavors (see pics) and all of them were REALLY good! I think the guava might've been my favorite but it was a tough choice. Food: they give u chips and salsa on the house. The chips are a little different; it's 4 big circular chips, they don't exactly taste like regular chips but I liked it. My friend had the Caribbean bowl and asked if she could get it with Al pastor instead of the meat options offered and they accommodated her request. She enjoyed her bowl but did say maybe she shouldn't have gotten the al pastor after all lol she thought the pork would've been shredded instead. I went for the tacos. I was so excited that they had chicken birria tacos cuz everywhere usually just sells it with beef which I don't eat. I also had an Al pastor taco. The Al pastor was good but just a bit dry, it was just missing some sauce but the flavors were good. The chicken birria tacos were amazing! The broth was the perfect cherry on top. The chicken was seasoned well and they had just the perfect amount of cheese. They were sooo good I had to order another one and my friend decided to order one of the beef birria tacos as well. While I don't eat beef it looked soo good! My friend loved it and it had an amazing cheese pull (see video). If I lived out here this would def be one of my favorite places! I will definitely go back whenever I come visit. While $5.25 is a bit much for 1 taco, man those birria tacos were worth every bit of it!

Food was delicious. We tried the Mexican Ramen and the Quesabirria. No complaints there. Quesabirria was crispy, flavorful, had plenty of toppings, and was full of meat. We also started with an order of queso which was HUGE for the price. Complimentary salsa is definitely on the bland side, but everything is served with tostadas instead of chips which was kind of fun. The restaurant is bright and hip looking inside, but pretty sticky. Tables and menus grossed me out. Service was fine. Not overly attentive, but not horrible. Tacos were very overpriced but the other food ran similar to other places in the area.

I love the good food from here! It's always hot and seasoned just right. The people are always friendly and welcoming when I go. The ambiance may not be 5 star but that doesn't matter. They make up for it with their service and smiles.

This little hidden gem was such a good choice for Cinco de Mayo!!! The vibe was chill and laidback. I ordered Nachos(chicken) as the appetizer(TASTY), Carne Asada(DELICIOUS), Birria quesadillas(not sure yet, packed them up to go because I was stuffed so they are in the fridge right now lol), a Hibiscus Margarita(Not my favorite but it was ok) and a Blueberry Margarita(both drinks were virgins). The blueberry was AWESOME!!! I should have asked for one to go!!! My friends ordered margarita flights which they said were yummy. Our waitress was personable and cracked a couple of jokes with us. Overall, this is a great spot if you are in the area I would definitely recommend this place!!

Stopped in here to grab a quick bite Togo. Was in and out pretty fast.. Had a really cool and clean interior. Very hip and inviting. For the food.. I've had birria tacos before but not this good. The beef in the tacos was perfectly cooked and paired well with the melted cheese and crunchy plancha grilled taco shell. And the consume to dip was super flavorful with that zesty aju taste. They have many other Birria options, I will definitely be back to try the birria pizza!

We love Birritaco!! It has a fun, upbeat vibe. The main dining room has tables that can be moved around to accommodate any size crowd you have, and the bar dining has high top tables with a few regular tables for couple or smaller groups. The food is amazing but also, if you like tequila...their collection is extensive!!!! All their drinks are great but if you're looking for a tequila experience, definitely give them a try!!!

We stumbled on this place after shopping at the Gibson Mills Antique Depot. We were starving and ready for lunch. We ordered the nachos and street corn - it came out fast and wow! So good! Instead of a basket of chips you get full crispy corn tortillas which make it more interactive and the salsa was really smooth and nice. Best of all was our server (Angel? From the check) he was friendly, said we should have high expectations of our meal and he was right. Great service matched great food.

The Birria was bomb! It was moist and succulent. I loved the thick vicious texture of the meat that wasn't too cinnamon nor salty. It was a delicious delectable bite. The Pineapple Chipotle house Margarita was so refreshing. It had a beautiful cloudy color that popped with the pink sugar rim. Definitely getting that again. I came for Tacos but their brunch menu looked delicious too. I hear the avocado toast with Birria is special. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the music and scenery. It's bustling and the selection of tequila is vast.

Great find in the Concord area! We drove about 40mins from CLT to get some tacos on Saturday and this spot did not disappoint. I was a little hesitant/skeptical of the commute but it was worth it - I wasn't driving so I just rested up and woke up ready to eat! We were seated immediately in the main room , further back by the restrooms. Arriving at an in between time around 230, we had no wait as a party of 7. Before you even step foot inside, you can see that this is a place with alot of character. Vibrant wall art outside and a lot of bright colors, signs, and writing on the wall inside. Menu wise, they have all the classic stuff - tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and of course beer/margs. I opted for the ghost pepper margarita and it was delicious. For my entree, I had the birria taco and a regular barbacoa taco. Others in the group ordered the margarita flight, nachos, and some elote appetizers. We were all satisfied with our meals and really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere here. It's a bit out of the way, but worth checking out.

It's small and dark but the food was great! Everything came out quick and correct which was nice. The birria tacos were amazing and the nachos were pretty decent. First off, who knew this existed in Concord?! A hidden gem with great food and excellent service. It's a chill vibe so come casual. I got the Birria Caribbean bowl and it was a 10. My husband got the pupusa's with Birria and he said it was the best thing he's had all year!! Also they don't skimp on the tequila in the margarita flights! If you live in the Charlotte area and like some good authentic tacos this place is worth the drive to "old concord". The pastor torta that I got was amazing. Just enough meat to compliment the sandwich bread that it was in. I love the ambiance, with writing all over the walls. The margarita flight was my least favorite but that's because I felt like I was drinking juice instead of a liquor drink. Parking can be a limited due to the size of their parking. read more

So I'm looking for a good restaurant for breakfast one Sunday morning, and Yelp tells me that Birritaco is open. I've been here before and always enjoyed my meal, but after trying their huevos rancheros I think it's time I got on Yelp and gave them the rating they deserve. I have been here several times, and the only complaint I can even think of is parking. If you can get past that, then you're in for a treat. Several different types of tacos, the drinks are very good, and the atmosphere is really nice. It almost has an island vibe to me. I'll be back here because I'm lucky enough to live in Concord. But their food is worth a drive to eat. read more

I've been here twice on Friday nights @ same time. The first time a party of 4. Service was on point and fast. The second time party of 7 the service was off and we were served multiple drinks that were put in on accident twice by our server. Maybe the staff that night was too distracted by playing capture the flag amongst themselves... both nights the food was great. The drinks varied greatly between the visits. The first time they were on point the second time they are over iced and weak/weird flavor. Either way we will be back again because the food is unmatched. I do wish the chips served before dinner tasted less like used grease. That's my only food change! read more

It's sad how poor businesses are becoming that I only needed one experience here to know I will never return. Please save your money and go to chipotle rather than getting charged for overpriced items. I specifically called this place in advance to make sure I understood everything that was included with each meal in case I needed to order more as I was ordering via DoorDash for pickup. I specifically asked about particular birria items because although I prefer different proteins, I still wanted the consume (is that not apart of the joy of birria?!) The lady on the phone was able to confirm everything and I placed my order.......just to be told when I got there that since I swapped out the beef, I would now have to pay extra for the consume. Even as aggravating as this was to find out, I would've paid for the consume until I noticed that I already paid $2 extra for queso that was the size of a bottle cap and no chips included......I know this economy is rough but please stop false advertising chicken or shrimp quesadillas as quesabirria when there's nothing "birria" about it. Oh and let's tell the employees not to switch to Spanish when in error because plenty of people understand the language and can hear when you're openly admitting your wrongdoing read more

Been back a couple of times now and have yet to be disappointed. This time we had the pizza, the guacamole, and the margarita flight. The pizza is LOADED. Easily a shareable meal. The margarita were ALL delicious. Guac was fresh, creamy, and delicious. I cannot wait to continue to explore their menu, both food and bar. Everything has been a hit. The atmosphere was nice, not in the best of neighborhoods it seemed, but OK. It did take quite a while to get our food 30+ minutes, the food was OK, I had read so many great reviews of the place and it did not really live up to the hype frankly. The Margarita flight looked good, overall one and done kinda place most likely. It was relatively expensive as well, but I guess everything is these days. read more

The most impressive part of this restaurant was the artesian collection of boogers smeared above the toilet in the men's room. The food was weak, the service was terrible. Their "birria" tasted like canned beef broth. Clearly their social media team does the heavy lifting, and I can only imagine they're following up with paid reviews. Disappointed we didn't try out the taco truck across the street instead. read more

So sad to leave this review. This used to be one of my favorite places in Concord. We often visited twice a week! But in the past few months it has really gone downhill. Food is still amazing but the service is terrible and the wait time is ridiculous for simple tacos. Wait staff is not attentive and doesn't really seem to be in a hurry to take care of customers. It's one thing to be busy and working hard to do your job, but there's not even any acknowledgment from staff about any of it. Sad to say I won't go back unless things really improve. read more

Co workers and I went on out lunch break for the convince of the location close to our job site. Place was clean and not to busy I ordered a Steak Mexican Salad $14 witch was delicious and my co-workers ordered tacos they ordered 3 tacos each. To their and my surprise once they got their check it was $5.50 each taco! $5.50 for a basic taco seems way to overpriced. No complaints on the taste but there was nothing special about the tacos to justify the price. Regular size corn Tortilla, carne Azada, Cilantro, cheese, onion and salsa. Basic! Service: Friendly and fast. Parking: Very Small might be shared parking with other businesses since the parking was full yet restaurant was not. Parking is located behind the building. Food: Good! Salad was delicious. Tacos good but way to overpriced. Location: Hipster and for young crowd kinda feel. read more

Oh my god. I don't think I've ever been to a better restaurant in my life. The building is beautiful. The food is astounding. The service was delightful. The options? Don't even get me started. Everything was so beyond perfect. Easily snuck its way into my #1 Restaurant in Concord. I honestly cannot recommend this establishment enough. Everything feels so cozy and flavorful. 100/10. read more

The shredded beef taco and plantains were amazing!! The salsa and chips were fantastic as well. They don't actually give you traditional chips, it's taco shells you have to break apart and dip in salsa. Loved it. The vibe was cool. read more
