So many happy people enjoying food, family on this Good Friday '26. Food was hot, fresh good. We arrived around "linner" time (lunch + dinner) and the place was busy in the best way possible. Our service was good. I got the chicken fajita quesadilla and my sister got the chicken crema. Including tip, $40 fed us both... Portions were excellent and we LOVED their amazing seasoned, yellow rice. What I didn't love was their Arnold Palmer. The lemonade tasted terrible and ruined the drink; also the black beans weren't up to par. But these two things are minor and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

Although I've passed by Fiesta Mexicana numerous times, I decided to stop in today and grab a little snack along with some rice for dinner. My snack was a steak quesadilla with cheese. Unfortunately, I had to go back because I ended up with just a cheese quesadilla and no meat. They quickly repaired my order and fill my steak quesadilla with delicious tender yummy steak. I'll definitely try a sit down here because the restaurant is clean and well maintained, and they have a lunch buffet Monday through Friday from 11 to 3, but you can sample all the goodness. read more

Ironically when I lived in china grove in 2017 we ate here quite often. Came down to Charlotte for my granddaughter's 13th bday and my son n law said hed eaten there before and it was good. We pulled up to the restaurant and I started laughing. I thought of all the Mexican places to eat what were the odds. My daughter didn't remember until we walked in. She remembered exactly where we used to sit. The place is exactly the same great decor and the staff as friendly as ever. Me and My Family visited here on National Margaritas Day . They had it set up really cute a patio with a DJ a man making Ballon Hats . The parking was a little weird probably because of all the festivities . Now the service was horrible. We sat down the waitress came to the table took our drink orders she was gone for a while after that again it was super busy , next my drink had something black in it . I sent it back after that we ordered our food as we waited for the rest of my family to get there . 45 min later no food my family was seated come to find out the waitress never put our order in . So we had to wait another 45 min . During this time I had to ask for another Margarita because the one they brought me had salt in it . The best part was the food it really was delicious. I just hate I had to wait two hours for it to. The manager wasn't friendly either when the tab was incorrect. This definitely is a place I would only ever do takeout because the food was delicious the service was horrible. The food was a little on the bland side. The chicken and rice was OK but the street tacos I thought was very dry and comparing to some other Mexican restaurants I've had in town. This is not a place I would return to. When I first sat down and looked at the menu, they were extremely filthy almost every page was dirty with what looked like salsa stains, and at that point I wanted to leave, but my wife really was looking forward to trying this place. If the menus are dirty, the kitchens are dirty. The waitress was nice and polite, although she did seem to hang around and watch what we were going to write down after being given our bill. So I handed it off to my wife to fill out lol. What the restaurant can do to improve is clean the menus. I'd make a bet that kitchen is in similar cleanliness condition. Just had lunch here for the first time and it was delicious. They feature a regular menu plus a buffet that you can't go wrong with, not just with taste but variety. Of course we did the buffet! ‼ and could not have been happier. The service was great as well. Not over the top but pleasant and attentive and with a welcoming smile. There was music in the background playing but, to a degree that I could hear myself and my companion speak and enjoy at the same time. It all felt like I was eating at a family gathering. The restaurant is cute inside and has a regular menu as well as a buffet option. Service was good but a little slow. I found the food average and lacking in flavor. This is our go-to Mexican restaurant as the food is consistently good. We ordered the family style Fiesta Molcajete. It includes choice of guacamole or cheese dip, served with chorizo, pork chops, steak, chicken, shrimp, black beans, rice, retired beans, green or red salsa garnished with oranges, limes, pencil onions, jalapenos and nopales. Normally margaritas are tasty but the pitcher this time seemed watered down and glasses filled with ice had quite a bit of water too. I had seen this restaurant on Facebook during the start of covid. Really wanted to go try their Mexican buffet. I like buffets because you can try a variety of things you've never had before without the regret of ordering a whole plate that you don't like. They stopped buffet because of covid, but just recently saw on Facebook that they had started it back up on Fridays. I love Mexican dishes, usually. The buffet was three small buffet bars in the corner of a crowded room with maybe 10-12 tables/booths. The cheese dip (Queso) was extremely watered down. I attempted to make myself a small taco salad bowl with shredded chicken, lettuce, pico, and Queso. It tasted pretty good. The rice was good too... but the refried beans were watered down as well. I happened to glance at the sauces on our table and noticed that the hot sauce was out of date for seven months. Maybe they refill the bottles? In that case, it's even worse if they don't wash the bottles out before refilling. The waiter over our table was friendly, but we felt like we were being watched the entire time. Soon as we were done with something, within seconds he was picking up a plate. Within seconds, refilling our drinks, and within seconds of our table being cleaned off, we got our ticket to pay. Overall was not impressed with the restaurant. I had high hopes. But all I got was an upset stomach and multiple trips to the restroom. read more

Updated review: We still like this place, but the last couple of times we visited my food was not hot. I returned it to the kitchen to be reheated both times and it still came back warm. Who wants to eat tepid Mexican food??!! It was very disappointing and even though I told the waitress I was dissatisfied she didn't offer a resolution. I'm pretty sure it was because she didn't understand English very well, so I can't blame her for that. I hope this place improves because we really enjoy eating here otherwise. The staff is super friendly and the value is great. I have to have hot food though. I might try one more time. If my food isn't hot I will sadly have to abandon Fiesta Mexicana. read more

We had a great experience at Fiesta Mexicana. The place "feels" Mexican. The decor creates a great atmosphere. They even have two large banana trees in front of the restaurant. When we walked in there was a special board introducing their daily dinner specials as well as a list of drink specials. We both got a $2.99 margarita. It was impressive. My wife ordered two tacos and I got enchiladas topped with queso and filled with pork. They were awesome! As soon as we were seated they brought us chips, salsa, salsa verde, and free queso dip. Can I start by saying - Free Cheese Dip!!!! They give you free queso, salsa and chips when you are seated!!!! I have never had free queso before!!!! I decided that stopping at Fiesta Mexicana Grill was worth risking being late to work. I was already kinda in the area and was starving so had to knock one off the Top 100 of 2018 list. They offer a lunch buffet but I definitely wasn't that hungry and didn't have time to play around with a buffet. My mom and I decided on the Pollo con Crema and the Burrito Special. Mind you we filled up on the free QUESO, salsa and chips before our food came out so we packed up most of our food to take home. The portions are large and the plate was huge. I enjoyed the Pollo Con Crema but my mom didn't like hers as much. I ate my leftovers like 2 days later and they were still good. The rice wasn't crunchy and the toppings were soupy. First time at the Fiesta Mexicana Grill. Because we had my dog with us we ordered take out. The restaurants parking lot was full...always a good sign especially since it's tucked away from the main Hwy. My niece went in to grab a few take out menus. They allowed us to look at the actual menu. Lots of choices. More than what I could peruse in the car so I went with my standard. Enchilada Verde. They serve this dish with hot green sauce but I prefer the tomatillo sauce. You know they make everything fresh when they are willing to customize your dish....oh and I don't like onions so they didn't add them either. Overall dinner was very good. A big portion for dinner. Went to Fiesta Mexicana Grill just to switch up our Mexican dining experience. The parking lot is always full and we thought why not. On arrival it took a few minutes for the hostess to show up but once she did we were promptly seated. Taking a look around, the decor is old but not off putting. The waitress was sweet and answered a few of our questions. They bring you three dipping options with your chips. Queso. Red salsa and Green salsa. All were very yummy! I ordered a side Chile Relleno. My daughter ordered chicken fajitas and my husband got Chori Pollo. (chorizo and chicken). The fajitas were okay. They didn't taste bad they just didn't come out on a sizzling plate which always adds to the excitement of fajitas and weren't flavor forward. I liked my relleno. Wished it was cheesier. My husband loved his Chori Pollo and I have to say his was the most flavorful of the three. Overall it wasn't bad.
