    Birria Ramen
    Mary M.

I've only been here twice, but both visits have been great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is fun, lively, and has a unique vibe that makes it stand out from other taco places.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My go-to order right now is the birria ramen, and I highly recommend it. The portion is generous, and it's packed with flavor. The food has been consistently good, for the two times I have been. I will say it's a little on the pricey side for this type of restaurant, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. It's a bit out of the way for me, so I don't make it there often, but whenever I'm in the area, it's definitely one of the places on my list to stop at.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on a Friday night and I was honestly surprised it wasn't as busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered at the kiosk and decided to sit down for our meals rather than take out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area is small with less than 10 tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't get drinks but I wished there was a water station since the food is quite rich. The waiters were extremely friendly, answering our questions and walking us through the order process. I ordered the taco trio with two shrimp and one bean, the tacos were a bit greasy but I enjoyed the bean one the best because it was well seasoned. My partner ordered one of the quesabirra and enjoyed it. We got the jalapeño queso and chips for appetizer and I was surprised how little chips you received. If you order this I would recommend ordering an extra bag of chips. We finished with the loaded churros which had dulce de leche, cookies n cream and a creamy sauce. Pros: Ambiance Great service Parking Large menu Cons: Not enough chips with the queso Tacos were a bit greasy No water station

I love Talkin Tacos! I've gone twice and have tried: - Birria Grilled Cheese (comes w/ tomato soup and fries). This is amazing and it didn't make my bread soggy. They must drain it prior to adding it to the bread. The fries and creamy tomato soup were also amazinnngg! - Steak Burrito & Birria Burrito. My husband has one ordered this on two separate occasions and he preferred the birria one but said both were really good. You can also customize them and add extra or take off toppings. - Mangonada - its non-alcoholic and so refreshing!!! Felt like you were on a peach somewhere. Will definitely order again. - Loaded Nachos - the only item I wouldn't get again. I just wanted more cheese but it was okay. - Strawberry Cheesecake - we loved this! Definitely really good but small! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We have dined in and have ordered to go and we prefer to not eat in because this place can get crowded and it's just too cramped when you try to eat there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The people who work there are VERY kind and respectful. The menu is so massive it takes you forever to decide which thing to choose! Which is smart because it makes us want to keep coming back. I want to try the birria mac and cheese and the tacos next! Last bonus, its all halal! Which also means it's hormone free! There's literally nothing to not love about this place. Check them out and keep checking them out, this business has to stay around for a long time!

I've always walked by this place. Only reason I came was to try the Ramen. The employees dont talk to you at all unless you ask them for something. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They dont clean off the tables in between people so you have to clean up the mess at the table you want to sit at[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . They dont even give you utensils with your food you have to get up and walk across yourself. The tomato basil ramen with chicken was so creamy and it had such a good taste. I tasted like regular tomato basil soup. The birria ramen was also very flavorful but tasted really salty, like you could tell the sodium levels were high. The lemonade are not worth $6 what so ever, I was disappointed. If you went to sipco across the street you can customize your own tea/lemonade/soda for way cheaper and just bring it there to drink lol. The street corn was good, just wished they used hot cheetos instead of takis, because the takis get kind of stale. I probably wont come back but the food was decent.

I had heard great things about this place, so I decided to stop in on Friday night and treat myself to a cheat meal. I couldn't decide what to get, so I went with the Trio--and wow, I'm glad I did! Let me tell you, I haven't had tacos with this much flavor in a long time. I ordered and took a seat, and the staff was super friendly. A gentleman--maybe the owner?--was walking around checking on everyone, which was a nice touch. The rice had a little kick to it, but nothing I couldn't handle. As for the tacos: the Carne Asada was hands-down my favorite. So flavorful! The Bang Bang Shrimp was a close second, and the Birria Taco was solid too. I'll definitely be back!

This has easily become my favorite taco spot, and it says a lot that I'm willing to drive about 25 minutes just to get it. Talking Tacos is definitely worth the trip in my opinion. One thing that makes this place a little different is the ordering process. There's no interaction with a cashier -- you place your order at a kiosk, grab your number, sit down, and someone brings the food out to your table when it's ready. It's simple, quick, and actually makes the whole experience feel pretty smooth. I tend to stick with the same three tacos every time because they never disappoint: the birria tacos, the shrimp taco, and the carne asada tacos. All three are packed with flavor and always taste fresh. The birria tacos are rich and savory, the shrimp taco is well-seasoned and satisfying, and the carne asada has great flavor and texture. Even when I order takeout, the tacos are still in great shape by the time I get home -- not soggy, which is a big plus. Their lemonade is really good too, especially the mango and blueberry flavors. It is on the sweeter side, but still refreshing and pairs well with the tacos. I've dined in before and once ordered chicken strips for my daughter. They were pretty good -- most likely frozen and not hand-breaded -- but still decent enough and she enjoyed them, so no complaints there. For my usual order, the total usually comes out to around $50-$60, which feels fair considering the quality and how filling everything is. Overall, this is hands-down my go-to taco spot right now. The food is consistently good, the system is convenient, and to me they serve some of the best tacos around. Definitely worth the drive, and I'll keep coming back.

I ordered to go! The Birria is moist and packed with flavor. They are small but decent sized. I wished my shells were doused in sauce. I felt completely satiated. The queso wasn't authentic. It was canned cheese and very salty. So, beware. It was a quick in/out with a kiosk ordering system. Completely no frils but I was greeted by the server. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's small, very cozy and mysterious spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would come back and try more.

Talking Tacos offers an experience, blending Mexican food with an automated ordering system. They have videos of their food preparation process on loop to wet your whistle. Now "the" lowdown: * Ordering: Step into the future of tacos! Everything is automated. You'll need to use a kiosk to place your order. Their system isn't the best interface. The search isn't exhaustive and there are so many items. There are two ordering kiosks. The ordering system also doesn't allow for many customizations. They call you and send a text when your order is ready. * Wait Time: Be prepared to wait around seven minutes for your order to be prepared, if there's no one ahead of you. * Food: My chicken tacos were delicious. My entree was well-presented, and the juicy lime wedges are the perfect touch. Please eat them fresh, because they don't hold up to reheating at all! If you warm them in the microwave or air fryer, they turn rubbery. * Portion Size & Price: While the entrees, starting around $14 each, aren't very big the quality of the food is good. Please also expect them to shake you down pretty doggone hard for a tip at the kiosks. * Ambiance: With bright murals of The Catrina painted on stark black walls, The Day of the Dead theme is bold. It's all table service and a very casual vibe. They have an Instagram/Yelp photo wall that reads "feed me tacos and tell me I am pretty." In my big grown age, I felt far too adult to stand there and snap a pic. While that part isn't for me, I would go back.

I had high hopes when I saw the menu. Lots of interesting looking dishes. You order at a kiosk and then they bring the food to you. We ordered the birria grilled cheese, Caribbean carne tacos and a quesadilla. The birria meat was a little dry for my taste. Usually when I've had birria it's usually very juicy and dripping flavor. The tacos we ordered without cilantro but they were still covered. Not a big deal but a minor disappointment. The plantains gave a little sweet flavor, I wish there had been more.

I heard there was a new taco spot in town so I had to check it out. The atmosphere is dark as it's lit up with black lights and bright paint on the wall xso there is a really cool vibe. You place your order at a kiosk and when it's ready they bring it out to you. I had birria tacos which were very good and the consome was also good. There are no soda options for drinks, so don't expect that when you go. The service was fast and friendly and the place was kept clean I'm looking forward to going back and trying something else.

Amazing new taco spot in Concord! I placed an online order and got a text that my food was ready pretty quick! I went up to the pickup counter and my order was ready there. I ordered the taco trio because I wanted to try a few different tacos. The beef birria was amazing! It was super tender and juicy and the consume that it came with was flavorful as well. The steak al pastor was also very good. I also loved the southwest chicken taco. The tacos were also loaded up with lots of meat and toppings! Overall, the tacos were great! I will definitely come back to try more!

It was my daughter's birthday and she wanted a Birria bowl from here so I ordered also. On picture it looked amazing. Normally I would try giving chances, but I was shocked at how long it took to receive my order and it wasn't busy at all. The service was somewhat slow and there wasn't many people inside. The food was really salty and just didn't look like what I expected... I want to give this place a second chance, but I'm hoping that the food is better next time.

I read the reviews before I decided to patronize here. The negative reviews were spot on. Not sure how long they have been open but the owners need to go back to the drawing board. We opted to order online and pick up. The online ordering process was easy to navigate. When I went inside, my first impression was not that this was a fresh new business. I knew from the previous reviews that the setup was confusing. I walked in and immediately walked up to what appeared to be the kitchen/cooking/waitress/prepping/and take out area all in one. It was a mess. There was no signage to indicate protocol and no person to direct incoming guest. I see my name and grab my order. The bag was tapped closed, so I open it to make sure my entire order was accounted for. An employee walks up and asked me if it was my order, I said yes. He says, "you're supposed to give your name, can you move your bag over there to check your order?" His tone, pissed me off. Points deducted for customer service. "Over there" meant the cluttered counter/table that the 2 small tablets for incoming guest to place their own orders for dine in, the same counter where you grab napkins, utensils and numbers for inside dining. It looked a hot mess and there was barely any space for me to sit my bag to check my order. Fast forward, I get home, everything looked really good. My daughter had the bang bang shrimp tacos, she said they were good. My husband had the steak burrito. He said the flavor was there but there was barely any steak. I had the birrea tacos. They were good, not the best I've had but good. The birrea sauce was bland. I also ordered the chips/Apps Trio. It came with Pico, cheese dip and guacamole. The guacamole was chunky and acidic like it had not been refrigerated. The pico was mostly tomato, no flavor. The cheese sauce was BURNT tasting. We couldn't even eat it. Looks good in the picture, but it was obvious they scrapped the pan to save the top layer, but the burnt fumes were embedded. Not sure if I'll go back. I'm thinking they need to figure out what they are doing wrong being a new businesss with such low score reviews.

We started with the pork gyoza, which were delivered quickly and were delicious. For our entrees, I had the Tonkotsu Black with added braised tofu, and my husband had the Spicy Tantan. I don't usually like eggs in my ramen (because they are never cooked enough), but Menya cooked theirs perfectly soft boiled, and I loved the flavor the egg added to the soup. Both soups had complex flavors, and we loved them. The tofu was great--thinly sliced and flavorful, if a bit salty--but I am not sure I'd need it again. My husband thought his soup was perfectly spicy. A note about parking - if you can park in the lot in front of the building, you scan a QR code, and open a parking time block. (I believe Menya paid for a 2-hour block.) You then enter the information on an iPad at the back of the restaurant to validate your parking and start the clock. It was easier than I expected, and I'd definitely use this parking service again. And if you can't get a spot in the lot in front of the building, you can park on the neighborhood streets just one or two blocks away. All told, it was a great meal for a reasonable cost. We'll definitely return!
