All the fat that was in my soup took up half of the cup smh

Ordered from them on Postmates my Birria Roman was full of fat, barely any meat and was missing the cilantro and onions. The Birria taco was mediocre.

The chicken avocado burrito was delicious! Highly recommend. Can't wait to give it another try.

It's good. There is probably somewhat better Mexican but for a 4am call, couldn't think of anything better

I'm a big fan of Javier's and I'm glad they are in DTLA across the street from Crypto.com Arena…read more(aka Staples Center) and the Convention Center. It's upscale Mexican food so be prepared for upscale prices. The interior is very similar to other Javier's locations and it's really a vibe inside. Once you step inside, the restaurant opens up and the space is quite massive. Servers are nice and your food comes out pretty quickly. I always stick to the shrimp and crab enchiladas and it never disappoints. There's the perfect amount of tomatillo sauce and there is a good portion of seafood inside the enchiladas. After loading up on house chips and salsa, these enchiladas always hit the spot. I've also tried the lamb chops and they were delicious. There were four individual pieces perfectly cooked medium rare. I would definitely order it again!

We pre-ordered our main dishes, and the staff knew exactly who received each meal without needing name cards at our seats. The atmosphere was fantastic, versatile enough for both a fancy night out and a casual dinner. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and the dish was phenomenal. Considering the high quality of the food and service, it was well worth the price. This is easily my favorite location, and I look forward to returning next time I am in Los Angeles.

We went during an off time so peak times I would expect a wait. We really blew our diets but it was worth it. We shared a small order of fries topped with chorizo, chipotle mayo, crumbled cheese, and raw jalapeno. It was soooo good and the small order was perfect for two without ruining your appetite. For my entree I had the Navajo taco which was a giant fry bread topped with red chile beef, beans, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and chipotle aioli. This was a true masterpiece of flavors. The fry bread was like a savory funnel cake flavor. Crunchy exterior and fluffy cloud like interior. The beef was melt in your mouth tender. My wife had hers with ground beef, potato, and green chile. They had a lot of different protein choices. Should have stopped at this point but they had a pumpkin pie filling stuffed sopapilla. It was made to order so it took awhile and came out steaming hot. It was served with two scoops of ice cream so it's perfect for sharing. It was pure heaven and we devoured it. Service was great but these ladies were doing everything. Taking orders, cleaning tables, packing up orders, putting final touches on foods, washing dishes. It was crazy yet they always kept a smile on their faces through the chaos. My wife and I cannot wait to try more items on the menu! Worth the drive!

It was okay, but definitely not Hatch chilies. Hatch chilies are now in season so they could have used them. The sopapillas were just like in Santa Fe so 3 stars were raised to 4. I guess a flight to New Mexico is in order if you want a real New Mexican meal. Not worth the long drive, but they tried.

Love how hot sauce and jalapeños are unlimited and you can grab them a from the side counter. That alone is such a game changer when it comes to eating at taco spots. DELICIOUS. their tortilla chips are also good to munch on. not too salty and the salsa was fresh, limey, salty. just all good. the only no good (for me) - i did not like the horchata, i would not get again. aim for the jarritos. you cant go wrong with it. overall- id def come back here again. the customizable options made a world of a difference. the food was fantastic with its price. must try! ps: no bathroom lol

Really brings me no pleasure to do this, but this is my forth visit and it was such a step down…read morefrom the previous visits. End of the day, a $68 bill pre-tip for a less than genrous plate of ($16??) guac and 4 very small tacos with no rice or beans included and one draft Modelo is just unacceptable. The tacos were adequate, but unspectacular. 'Filet mignon' tacos were a single unchopped hunk of meat well flavored but so bare and small for 2x $22. The guac was too refrigerated, with not fully ripened avocado that resulted in an overly sweet taste and slightly firm texture that was unpleasant. Chips were also just not very good, and also not as far as I could tell complimentary. Service gets high marks for speed and efficiency, but felt super impersonal. Example, a server asked us how everything was while we were clearly just sitting there, not having tasted any of it waiting for some limes to arrive at the table. Just asked the question without surveying at all, and it was very performative and not genuine. Which is fine. I'm not at all mad at the servers, tough job but worth noting when noting the tip % options on the POS. End of the day I don't know if I'll be back or not. Everybody has an off day. But just about every aspect was less than stellar(draft beer was excellent) especially compared to three previous excellent visits. It's getting harder to justify going out for dinner, and at these prices, I would hope they could do a little better.
