My Disappointing Experience with S&H Tree - $8,800 Paid, Agreement Not Fulfilled…read moreOn September 1, 2026, Heith, owner of S&H Tree, came to my property to provide an estimate for removing our 129-foot Coulter Pine. During his visit, he also agreed to provide an arborist report for my neighbor's Coulter Pine, which is leaning toward our property and has already caused damage to two of our vehicles. The arborist report was a major reason my husband and I agreed to hire S&H Tree for $8,800. We needed this report to include with a certified letter to our neighbor, especially with high-wind season approaching. On September 3, two S&H Tree crews removed nearly the entire tree in one day. They worked efficiently and initially did a good job cleaning up in our yard and our neighbors yard. However, the stump was not ground down properly, requiring a return visit on September 9. Unfortunately, they left a significant mess in both our yard and our neighbor's yard. I received the $8,800 invoice on September 9 and paid it immediately in full, trusting Heith would follow through with the promised arborist report. Five weeks later, despite numerous messages, I still have NO arborist report. Instead, I've received excuse after excuse and repeated delays. I made it very clear how urgent this report was due to the damage already caused to our vehicles and the approaching high-wind season. We have now had to hire another arborist company at an additional expense because we simply cannot afford to wait any longer. My biggest mistake was paying in full before receiving everything we agreed upon. Lesson learned! While the tree removal itself was handled efficiently, the lack of follow-through, communication, and accountability has been extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I would NOT hire S&H Tree again or recommend their services. An $8,800 job should come with professionalism, honesty, and a commitment to honoring agreements.

I have been using Ezra's tree service for years. We have resigned ourselves to just sending text messages back and forth as needed. "It's that time of the year again Ezra. Here's how my trees look. Can you give me an updated quote?" He's a very busy man so he may not be the fastest on responses but I'm telling you, it is worth the wait. As other people have said, Ezra's quotes are always the best. I do occasionally comp shop with other services just to see how things line up, but even with everything going on, with the cost of fuel going up and labor costs going up, Ezra has never tried to gouge me. His increases that have come up year to year always make sense and are very reasonable and expected. His crew comes in ON TIME, they professionally trim and take out the trimmed portions of trees, put it all into their chipper, and get it right out. They are very clean, fast, efficient, and always reliable. I highly recommend them and I don't know why I haven't Yelped about them before! Get your quote now.

They even cleaned up all of the shavings. One of the good things is the attention to detail. This company had to remove my drip line that I had around the tree. I live in a rural area have quite a few pepper trees on my property. If you have you trees then you…read moreknow what a beast they are and how quickly they grow and the leaves trail all the way to the ground. So I found myself in the position last week of being informed that my one of those trees of mine had branches to low into the street and that if not fixed I'd pay a fine. Sooo I asked around and a coworker of mine suggested this business. I consulted Yelp reviews and can't say I was 100% sold - they have both really good and really bad reviews. Buuuuut in the end I went with them because my coworker has used them for a decade and said they were fast, cleaned up well, and had good prices. My personal opinion? I can only base it on Pepper tree removal/trimming. Mosis team was very efficient, I can honestly say it was so fast that if you blinked you'd miss them. They roll up deep, I think I counted 10 people in their crew. Some are climbing trees, some are cutting, others cleaning, and a few throwing stuff in the wood chopper. It was wild. They 100% did exactly as I asked to the T and the price was very very good. They also were as clean as my coworker said with not even a twig left behind. I'm one happy customer and will not only use them again but actively recommend them as well.

Best and worst tree service experiences I've had We…read morefollowed a family members recommendation, and they'd used Mosi's twice and been very happy with the service. 2 years in a row we had our palm tree trimmed by Mosi's and we were happy with all of it, price and service and scheduling. Then we were trying to schedule during the 3rd year and the only time that worked was when we were out of town. I told them the house sitter could give them access etc, but we'd be in and out of signal so I'd need to pay them the next week when we were back home. This was all agreed upon and planned. During our trip, I get a message from the house sitter that the tree guys came. Then I get multiple texts and missed calls from Mosi's saying that they needed to be paid immediately, right now, that the tree service was complete and they wanted to be paid now and not the next week. It was weird and unpleasant, but we'd had good experiences with them before, and since I happened to have signal, I went ahead and paid them online. The next day I receive a photo message from the house sitter: Mosi's completely botched the job, the palm tree looked horrible. THAT was why they suddenly insisted on instant payment and changed the terms, because they'd ruined the job and saw a chance to get full payment before we were back to see how they'd ruined our front yard palm tree. Once we were back home, we tried to talk to them, and not only would they not give even a partial refund, they didn't offer to try to even out the trim for free. Instead they insisted on keeping the full payment and suggested a slight discount on a return-and-repair visit. We had a text conversation as well as 2 phone calls, and they were not the least apologetic or conciliatory. They acted like it was a normal hazard of the job, which, given that was the 8th time we'd had the tree trimmed the same way, with no earlier issues, doesn't ring true. We were so disappointed and upset, not just by the damaged tree but by how Mosi's acted afterward. It's damage that the tree can't ever out grow or heal, we'll just have to get a repair trim eventually done (by someone else of course!!!) to try to minimize how obviously it's damaged. The tree is alive and thriving still, thankfully, but every single time we pull into the driveway, we have to see our poor mangled tree, and it makes me feel sad and mad to remember how they acted and treated us.
